I've lived at Cascade Terrace for almost a year.  It's in a GREAT LOCATION close to downtown and on many bus routes.  The office staff is friendly and professional-- I go down there every once in a while for a cookie (they're seriously good).  I've put in a few work orders and they've all been addressed in a timely manner.  It's also QUIET for the most part-- which is especially nice for me because I work from home.  I don't drive so parking doesn't really concern me.. but my friends have always found a Visitor spot.  If you're looking for a good deal on a newer unit in residential Queen Anne-- Cascade Terrace is a safe bet.

Well, what do you know...
We lived at Cascade Terrace when we first arrived from Sydney. The apartment was not cheap, but it had a nice view of Lake Union and not too much noise from Aurora. The managers when we lived there were nice, caring, helpful and friendly and the place was run well. We lived here for a year and a half and enjoyed it.

Fast forward to 2 years ago, and my brother was emigrating here. We took him down there to look at the apartments, and he ended up deciding to live there too. Unfortunately in the time intervening, this place had gone seriously downhill. Not well maintained, apartments rented out to people who were not the most upstanding citizens and reports of perverts galore!

I would have recommended this place 4 years ago, I would not recommend it today. There are better places to live. The upside is I hear it's cheaper now!

Just concluded my lease in this fine establishment.  I really like how its sorta set in its own lil complex, and some have a really nice view.  Its quiet (suburb within the city), but there is a staircase that takes you to aurora where you can catch a bus.  The maintenance was pretty quick about fixing stuff.  Also the rent was real cheap but they jacked up the prices when we tried to extend the lease, which was a reason we didnt extend it.
The bad things..  The visitor parking is slim and if someone is visiting they may have to park on the side streets which are hilly and hard to park.  Also, I wanted a place that I could walk to queen anne ave and such, but ti was farther than i thought really hilly and a pain to walk.
