my friends and i went there for lunch after the chinese place we had originally intended on going to was closed for chinese new years.
upon walking in to the place, I was surprised to find the decor very charming and warm. we were seated right away and the waiter was very friendly and quick to take our drink order. I ordered the flautas combo. The food came right away and it was fresh and hot. my flautas were crispy and quite tasty. the beans and rice were good as well.
I am glad the other place was closed for chinese new year's because I probably never would have tried this hidden Gem in stockton. I will be back for sure. -

Purchased a groupon and went in for lunch. this was my first time at this location. Unfortunately we had an issue with my 6 year old sons chicken taco. He wasn't happy so I tasted it ( if it was good I would have finished it off). The taco was flavorless and it was just a big piece of dry breast thrown into a fried taco shell. The taco was replaced with a quesadilla and everything was downhill form there. The waitress showed her true colors in her tone of voice. Almost like if we returned the food they take it out of her paycheck.
My friend asked for a refill and she snatched the cup. We requested a manager and then everyone went dumb. NO MANAGER, NO HIGHER AUTHORITY.
SHE SAID SHE CONTACTED THE MANAGER ALREADY. THIS WAS BEFORE ALL THE ACTION. SO WHY DID YOU CONTACT THE MANAGER? BECASUE WE SENT BACK A TACO.?
FINE PRINT: 18% GRATUITY FOR A PARTY OF 4......NOT MENTIONED IN THE GROUPON DETAILS
My shrimp tacos were good but the beans were dry.
Getting a refund on my other groupon. -

This is an update to an original review. The stars remain the same but the changes are definitively obvious. I do enjoy frequenting this establishment especially when I want Mexican food but not the usual 'drenched in sauce' Mexican food. They do a good job of bringing different dishes that are not you do not find in your typical Mexican restaurant. I especially like the shrimp tostaditos. They are ceviche style shrimp on a mini tostada shell with tomatoes lettuce and sour cream with sliced fresh avocado on top. They have it on the appetizer menu but it is definitely an entire meal on it's own!
I have been here enough times to know that there are good and bad times for my family to go. Most of the time lunch id a good time. I did have one occasion that a couple cooks and a couple servers did not show up and they had a difficult time getting people taken care of. I can't hold this against them just because their staff didn't show. They did the best that they could given the circumstances.
Sometimes they are a little busier than they can handle. It seems that they are always short handed by at least one person. Sitting at the bar is nice but it fills up quickly in the evenings.
Sometimes it gets extremely loud in the late afternoons and evening so we usually tend not to go unless it is early in the week.
Now to the margarita...It must be the bartenders. Sometimes the margaritas are fantastic. Tart, plenty of tequila, mixed very well. Other times they are sweet and taste as if they came from a pre-made mix of Cuervo margaritas that you can get at the grocery store. I cannot comment on the rest of the bar menu because really enjoy margaritas on the rocks and if I am in a Mexican establishment then that is what I shall have!
All is all it is still a great place to go. We all enjoy the atmosphere (when it isn't too loud) and we normally don't mind waiting a bit extra if they are busy. They try very hard to be attentive and their bathrooms are (relatively) clean. Shrimp tostaditos are fantastic as is most of their specialized menu. Give them a shot.1 Previous Review: Show all »

My fam and I went there tonight. We've been going there since it opened. We arrived at 6:35 pm and by 7:20 we hadn't received our food. I asked to speak to the manager. I complained about waiting so long for food and he responded, "well if you see we are really busy tonight and it is taking 35 minutes to push food out. You should expect that." WHAT!! REALLY?! No I said, I should expect maybe 30 minutes, but 45 minutes is ridiculous. He said, "well I can bring your son's beans out." I said, "My husband had to leave because you are taking so long so now I can't even enjoy a dinner with him." He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well what do you want me to do?" I said, "Cancel my order. I'm never coming back here again." Manager, "if you feel that way." I've worked in the serving business and I would have NEVER responded to a complaint that way. I'm so unnerved that I was treated like I didn't matter. I'm appalled.

Quick tip: Find somewhere else to eat. If you want an authentic meal, This isnt it. If you want crappy service and generic food, you've come to the right place.
Well Octavio, if you want something in detail, here it goes. First there was only 1 host, 1 server and 1 buser (not sure how many cooks). Needless to say, it took longer than one would expect to be seated. Once we were seated, we were greeted with stale chips that tasted bagged and pico salsa that seemed too watery.
**The server was good with getting our drinks.
Our order was taken promptly.
The buser continued to help refill drinks, chips and salsa...several times.
When the food arrived approx an hour later, I was not satisfied with the meal, and was definitely not worth the wait. The beans were very pasty and cold, the chicken taco was over fried to the point where the chicken had a jerky consistency, the good thing about the taco was that the shell was crunchier than the chips. The chile verde and the chile colorado were luke warm at best, and the rice was cold.
The server brought 3 tortillas and there were 4 adults and 4 children in our party. I waited for the server to come back and I asked for a couple more tortillas, after approx 10 minutes, I got up to find out where my tortillas were, and our server was taking another tables order. I asked the buser for the tortillas since the server was now busy. The buser looked confused and wasn't sure what to do. The buser came to my table a few minutes later and apologized and said that he had to go through the server. The server eventually, brought the tortillas, and the food had lost it's freshness if there was any by then. I was so frustrated that our Sunday dinner had not turned out the way it was planned or wasn't worth what we were about to pay. So I asked the buser to speak to the manager to express our unhappiness and the server came back and advised us that there wasnt any managers per say.
I found our experience very unsatisfactory, I felt that the restaurant was unprofessional and lacked leadership and direction. I believe the menu and/or ingredients need a makeover, it tasted like there was no passion for food. Forgive my spoiled palate, but I have learned to find and eat at restaurants that are passionate about their food and service, regardless of the cuisine or price point.
Hopefully you were sincere in trying to get some constructive criticism, this is as sincere as it gets.
I hold Mexican restaurants to a high standard, I am a proud Mexican American and our experience, meal and service were not a good representation of what someone should expect of an authentic Mexican restaurant.Comment from Octavio C. of Casa Flores Marina 10/5/2011

Good food, cool atmosphere and great service. They have a lot of good eals on Groupon and http://Restaurant.com.
Only bummer tonight was the bartender. We went before and was really chill and mellow but tonight I think he may have had a one too many and became obnoxious and even a little inappropriate. It was distracting on our date night. But he makes a hell of a fresh fruit Marg. -

Isn't it funny how Stockton has several Mexican restaurants, all with the same name, all owned by the same family, but each with a very different atmosphere and flavor? So far, I've been a fan of every one I've tried. I'm happy for the variety that this family brings to Stockton.
Of course, an unfortunate side effect of these places is that you could arrange with 5 fives to go to "Casa Flores," and everyone could be at completely different locations in town. Of course, this hasn't happened to me yet.
SERVICE AND DECOR:
I went here for dinner on a Friday night for a yelp event. They were easily able to handle our party of about 16 in a separate room. I was impressed by our waitress, who took our orders by memory and got everything perfect when the food came out. Service was quick.
For a Mexican restaurant, the setting here is practically upscale. There's a full bar and an outdoor patio, and the lighting inside is dimmed a little. It was very clean and comfortable inside.
FOOD AND PRICES:
I had the Casa Flores Combo, which comes some tasty beans and rice along with the following:
Chips and salsa: The chips were a little stale, unfortunately. Salsa was very fresh and tasty. I had to add salt to the chips.
Beef taco: A little lacking in flavor. The meat was dry and a bit tough, but the greens, cheese, and fried tortilla were okay. Probably the weakest part of the combo.
Steak ranchero: Very tasty, but also a little overcooked and salty. That being said, I ate it with my beans and rice and a tortilla without issue. Not the best I've had, but not bad.
Green Chicken Enchilada: Easily the best part of the meal. The verde sauce was very tasty along with the gratuitous amounts of cheese they put in it. The chicken was just a little too tough, but it was excusable for this plate. I ever return to this location, it will be for this dish.
The combo also comes with chile relleno, a food item I won't judge because of personal taste.
My combo was $12, which is high for Mexican food standards, but reasonable given the size of the portions. I'm a big guy, and I had a significant amount of food left to take home.
IN CONCLUSION:
If I could give half stars, I would give it a 3.5. The setting and service here are excellent, but the meats are just a little too tough and dry for me; I would prefer the other locations. That said, I will keep this place in mind when I need to entertain a large party in a nice, clean, casual, and affordable restaurant. I encourage others to try this place for its comfortable atmosphere and good service. -
Review from Nicole L.
Maybe it had something to do with it being Tequila Thursday.
They're really polite, but after two screwed up orders, a few apologies, and poorly timed appetizers (with dinner? Really? And the excuse: "oh well everyone else has eaten in this restaurant so I guess they just went for it"), I'm reducing my initial rating. My best friend's chile relleno was cold, which was also weird.
The servers were really polite. I have to say, they were extremely polite. The service is great. The kitchen timing, hmm. And the mole was nowhere near as good as it was when we initially came in.
The mixed margaritas that came with the $10 tequila tasting were mostly soda. Go with their agave-based margarita (don't remember the name but it runs $7.50, and it's really really tasty. Served up, btw).
Guac still rocks.
I'd still come back, but maybe avoid the super busy evenings- perhaps they had an off night, but that remains to be seen.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Came here for my Uncle's surprise birthday party. They have a banquet room in the back that holds a decent amount of people. I'm not sure what the price for everything was, but it included food, soda, water, and lemonade. They were great about refilling the chips and salsa as we all sat there eating bowl after bowl. When the food finally did come out, it was great. They served rice, beans, chile verde, shredded pork, and some steak dish buffet style. Everything was good, but the chile verde was AMAZING! I would go back time and time again to eat this!
The one thing I did notice was the minimum qualifications for their waitresess...size D. All of the ladies who helped us were fully stacked and wearing very low cut shirts.
The atmosphere was very laid back. They have a full bar and their margaritas are strong and wonderful!
I'd go back again.Listed in: Good for Groups

SAUCE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!
Not impressed that's for sure!
So I met my sis here for dinner yesterday. It was my first time here so after looking over the menu a bit I decided to start with the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. Imagine my surprise when the server brought me a glass of cocktail sauce with 5 small shrimp in it! Wow! For sure I thought there were more hiding at the bottom but....nope!....nada!....nothing!! $8.50 for that???!!! Really Casa Flores??? Really? That was NOT shrimp cocktail that I got people! That was a glass of shrimp cocktail SAUCE!!
Pffft! Whatever!
On to my entree....I was in a fajita mood so I ordered the steak fajitas for $12.95. When my meal arrived.... again, I was a little surprised. Never in all my years of being have I ever seen fajita meat drenched in sauce!!! What the damn fuck? For a second I thought they had accidently brought me someone elses plate but ....nope!....it was mine alright! Who does that?? I would prefer Suzi's fajitas or even Chili's fajitas any day over this crap!
Extremely perturbed at this point!
And not only was the meat drenched in sauce, the shit was spicy and I HATE spicy food! I would also have to say the ratio was 80% sauce and only 20% meat! This to me seems like the sauce is their cover up of how much meat they really give you! It looks like a lot of food when placed in front of you but as soon as you dig through the plethora of sauce and vegetables you realize that's all there really is!
NEVER AGAIN!!
Oh, and the tortillas???....they were all stuck together so each time I tried to pull one apart they ripped!! Geez.....
1 Star because they serve Pepsi

Rating this is a tough one.
Based on the area, I'd give it 4 stars.
Based on my eating experiences, I'd give it 2 stars. I've definitely had better mexican.
I had the Casa Flores Combo ($12) - green chicken enchilada, beef crunchy taco, chile relleno, carne asada. It was all just so-so...
Chile Relleno was in a biscuit like breading, I had to dig for the chile and cheese. I didn't like this at all. The breading was spongy and yucky.
Green Chicken Enchilada- dry chicken, not a lot of sauce. So-so.
My husband got the Chile Verde ($9) - according to him, the sauce was good and tangy, pork was a little dry but overall made for a scrumptious little burrito.
Top shelf margaritas - these were nice and strong, a redeeming quality.
Chips and salsa and guacamole - spicy salsa tastes like real tomatoes. Guacamole was a little canned. -

This was the first time I had been to Stockton, and we scheduled my Grandpa's birthday dinner in the banquet hall here. We thought it was very well done. The menu has all of the traditional Mexican entrees, plus a special Marina menu featuring lighter, healthier alternatives to the heavier old-time favorites.
Service was great. I found it kind of funny that our waiter seemed to be pushing the tequila (which is a big thing for the restaurant - it's quite a drinking destination) although we don't drink. But it was all good. Note: For big parties, they don't split checks. -

More cheese please???
If that's a frequent thought - then this place has it covered! I've been searching for a good local Mexican joint and have found my cheese enchilada mecca.
I've been to several Casa Flores' around Lodi and Stockton and have never been that impressed; however, I do recall a tasty chicken enchilada from the one off Kettlemen in Lodi, but wasn't nearly as impressed as I was with this place.
I was instantly taken aback by the warm, dimly lit ambiance, and greeted promptly by a welcoming hostess. The chips were good, their "regular" salsa was OK, but their "salsa for the homies", an extra hot-salsa upon request, was a highlight and made my tongue do back-flips!
I ordered the enchilada dinner (one cheese and one chicken mole) and their top-shelf margarita. The margarita was dee-lish, surrounded by a perfectly salted rim. The mole sauce was complex and tasty, but I didn't care for the flavor of the chicken (I think that's just me though....I'm pretty weird about my meat and poultry flavors being "just-so" and my friend said it tasted good). But my moment of cheese glory didn't hit until I bit into their cheese enchilada. The ooey-gooey-cheesy doors opened up and let me in....wooo-wheee! I couldn't get over the huge amount of cheese that this tortilla wrapped itself around! Super-chewy goodness.
I left with a happy belly and a content smile on my face and a, "I'll definitely be back....I'll be a regular!"
P.S. As I approached my car, I couldn't help but gaze upon the "24-Hr-Fitness" out front, reminding me to work-off those calories! Tomorrow I thought....yeah, tomorrow. -

The most important factor for me when reviewing a restaurant is the service. The employees here are always friendly AND provide excellent service. I've never had the slightest complaint.
(I hope they can say the same for me)
I love me some good Mexican food and I love that they have a full bar. Even better I can ride my bike here.
This Casa Flores is close to home and close to my heart.

Awesome.
Ok, thats my review...have a good night.
Oh if it was only that easy...
I came here for the second time the other day. I was in a bit of a rush and didnt feel like driving from North Stockton over to Tio Pepes or Don Luis. I figured that I might as well try Casa Flores again.
Man was I happy I did.
We were seated right away...our waitress totally took care of us. We went through two things of chips and I had my gravy with cheese within a couple minutes of sitting down. I still stand by my assertion that they have the best enchiladas in Stockton.
And the most important thing, my soda was totally refilled before it was empty. You know thats the most important thing to me. At least I admit it...lol.
The location itself is in an awesome location right off the freeway on Ben Holt so its nice and close. And the inside is nice and clean and nicely furnished.
I look forward to visiting the family...more cheese enchiladas for me!

A solid 3 1/2 stars....
Nice location...classy interior. I was immediately impressed
walking in to the restaurant. Bar on the right side, a row of tables
down the middle and tables along the windows on the left side.
We were shown to our seats by a friendly hostess. Seconds
later a server showed up with the chips and salsa...both of which
were good. Chips were a bit different than the 'out of the bag' chips
that you get at other restaurants. Salsa was average. The server
took our drink order and at the same time we also ordered a side
of the mole' and cheese. That has become a staple of Mexican
restaurants in the area in the last ten years, it seems. Mole' and
cheese was tasty and had a great consistency. It was a bit more
bland than other restaurants in town...but still good.
I ordered two items, a chicken enchilada and a chicken taco with
rice and beans...no salad or green stuff on the plate. Both were
quite good. The texture and taste of the enchilada was superior
to the taco. The meal came with flour tortillas.
This place makes for a delightful dining experience. The ONLY
issue that I have is that the portions are small. Both the taco and
enchilada were smaller that I am used to at my hallmark of Mexican
restaurants, Tio Pepe's.
I would not have a problem returning to this restaurant. I just wish
they would increase the portion size. If they did that, they just might
replace Tio's in my book. -

My very first time to the Casa Marina. I like it! Lot's of room if you have a large loud party, beautiful inside and a fairly large patio that I hope to see dotted with outdoor tables and chairs in the near future so we can all enjoy that cool Delta breeze.
Let's see, my first recollection of the Casa was our server Esmeralda. She was on it! She was working that whole back room and might I add, by HERSELF! I saw one other waitress in the place.
The food, my only mishap was to NOT take a picture of my dinner; it was modern art on a plate!
Hand rolled to order carne asada enchilada filled with garlic grilled asparagus & zucchini and topped with a light aromatic garlic asparagus sauce on top. To the side some whole black beans....man was I feeling healthy not eating the typical lard laden re-fried variety! Another side, some fluffy Spanish rice not too dry and not too saucy, just right.
The price point well within reasonable with value for the quality of food. No humongous portions where you leave sorry you had that last bite. Casa Flores has it going on at the Marina!
If you haven't been yet, now's the time. Catch their one of a kind hand crafted Asparagus dishes during "The Great Stockton Asparagus Dine Out" - April 1-10, 2011.

This place gets a solid 3.5 stars in my book, which for a Casa Flores restaurant is pretty damn good!
I'm usually not a fan of the Casa Flores chain, but I dig the atmosphere this place has strived to create. Plus, it seems like they put a little more time and care into their food, which is the most important thing in the longrun. I've eaten here a few times and I will continue to patronize the place as I've yet to feel like my money was wasted.
They have a Tequila tastings once a month that I plan to try, but keep forgetting when the day approaches. All in all, it's one of the better Mexican restaurants in town and is tucked away quietly in the Marina Marketplace shopping center. Worth a visit to see if it suits your Mexican food cravings. -

Although my experience with Mexican cuisine may be limited, my experience with food is not. IMHO the food was good. The chicken soup (smaller portion) was enough for a meal and was excellent with a light broth, enough chicken and vegetables to proclaim "homemade is better!" Beef taco was good, chicken enchilada was better and the rice and re-fried were OK. The restaurant was full for lunch and a little noisy. Had to sit at a high table, not to my liking but OK. I though the place could use a good cleaning, but not during lunch which was what happened at the end of the meal.

Love this place, I am there at least once a week. My recommendation is the Juan's Tacos, chicken soft tacos with melted cheese and topped off with Verde sauce and cilantro. YUM! Also you have to request the "Hommies" sauce and give it a try. The chicken soup is also very good.
This place also makes some of the best cocktails in town, hands down the best top shelf Margarita I have ever had.

My wife and I were hunting for a new Mexican restaurant since our favorite one closed (Santiagos). We decided to check out Casa Flores Marina. When we walked in, the decor and atmosphere is very appealing. We were greeted and seated right away with chips and salsa.
My wife ordered a chicken burrito with gravy on top and beans and rice. I ordered a beef taco and a chile relleno with beans and rice. We both were very impressed and had ample enough food for us as we are not huge eaters. The prices were reasonable and in-reach with everyone else.
We will definitely go back -

Came here to meet other fellow Yelpers for the unofficial official Yelp event in Stockton. It was great to finally meet some of my fellow Yelpers and get to know the person from behind the computer screen is not a complete weirdo (I don't know if you can say the same for me). I'm a little tired so I'm going to make this quick.
The place was packed with diners which was great to see. First things first, chips and salsa. Disappointment. Although the salsa was good chips were very stale and I kept eating them anyways hoping to find a fresh one. I probably sat there a good ten minutes or so before I was offered anything to drink. I ordered a top shelf margarita which was very good and refreshing although pricey. Considering this was the Yelp event I was less than impressed with the service and I find it hard to believe that the restaurant knowing a group of people who are coming in to review their restaurant weren't on it like cockroaches on the food at Nena's.
This is not at all a knock on our waitress Esmeralda who did a fantastic job that night, she even took orders by memory. Not one time did a busperson come by our table and offer to refill drinks, chips and salsa or clear any plates and Esmeralda seemed to have to take on the whole load herself. Maybe they were short that night but I did see a busboy walking around and as a former busboy I was surprised in the lack of assistance to our server. Food was very slow and I'm sure they were trying to get all of our orders out at the same time but by the time they did almost the whole back of the restaurant where we were sitting was now empty and my food was lukewarm at best. The asparagus carne asada enchilada was delicious and my black beans were a nice alternative to the usual refried beans. I also ordered a chicken taco and wasn't too happy with it. It was flavorless and very dry, I had to top it off with salsa and drink a sip of water to wash it down otherwise some poor Yelper would've had to risk their back to give me the heimlich.
In conclusion I was little disappointed with my dining experience on this night. I have ate here before for my sisters birthday and we had a great time out on the patio and the food was awesome. So coming back for a second time for a Yelp event I was expecting nothing but the best and I feel like they didn't even try to appease us. I felt bad for our server who looked like she was having a long stressful night and I don't place the blame on here for the lucklaster service. On another note I had a really great time meeting all these new people and look forward to the next event and I'd like to thank Maureen for putting it all on. Until next time guys! -

Came here because my first choice was closed. It's a nice establishment - a little too dark and populated by very uppity clientele. The waitress started off fine but really dropped off quick. She wasn't even looking at us when taking our orders and couldn't be bothered to bring the check when we were done. Furthermore, when she ran us up, she was talking to someone else. So I stiffed her. Rarely do, but it was well earned here. As for the food, the rice and beans were fine and the enchilada wasn't bad but the chili relleno was HORRIBLE. It was like a big jalapeno popper - nothing but cheese and breading with a tiny ole Anaheim pepper inside. Bland would be the easiest description of the food. So, all in all, food is 3 stars (it wasn't superb but I've had far worse) and the service is 1 star.

I remember when the place first opened and how much better tasting the food was. I really love this place and have suggested it to all of my family and friends. Great service and a good atmosphere, but the last couple of visits I have had not so great tasting food. My daughter had a tamale that was so over cooked she could only eat the center, and this time my beans were cold and flavorless, and taco shell was overcooked. I am hoping that my next experience won't be this way for a third time as I would like to go back.

3 stars or 4..... hummm....
The menu says after first free bowl of chips, they will charge $3.50 for endless chips. Whhhhaaa?? But for some reason today, they gave us unlimted chips. Which is good because I am not paying for more.
The atmosphere is nice, very nicely decorated, updated. There is mexican music playing in the background. The bar looks kick ass, didn't really explore it much. There is plenty of seating, both indoor and an outdoor patio.
The waitress needed some work. She seemed like we were her first table she ever waited. My ice tea was empty for a while before someone else noticed and refilled it. The hubby asked for flour tortillas and never got them.
My favorite, cheese enchiladas, was good. Good portions, typical meal with beans, rice and lettuce.
We asked for a "to-go" box and she brought us some mini box. A quick scan and I could see others had full size boxes to go. I don't know why she gave us a mini, but we put as much food left over in it as we could.
Would I eat here again? Yea. Ok, guess that deserves 4 stars. -

Been half a dozen times now and never had a meal that wasn't yummy! I particularly like the cheese enchiladas and chili colorado. With the passing of Carmen's and Colina del Oro, Casa Flores on the Marina is now the best Mexican in Stockton for this gringo.
During good weather, their patio is a great place to dine. Also, my active 4 1/2 and 1 1/2 year olds never phase them. The owner, who I think is also the head chef, discreetly checks in with his customers at their table regularly too. Nice touch.
Note that the "Casa Flores" restaurant name in Stockton is an institution - good blue collar Mexican food at bargain prices, but /this/ Casa Flores is quite different from the others.
UPDATE: Went for dinner Friday night 10/16/09 - two cheese enchiladas and a chicken taco. MmMmmmMMMMmmMMMmmm.... Thanks Octavio! -

2.5 stars rounds up to 3...do math if you don't believe me.
I'll admit their food was good, but this location didn't have the homely feel that the other Casa Flores locations have. I'm assuming they are all interconnected and this one just felt out of place. I felt a night club vibe with the interior being too dark for my taste. I'll keep this joint in mind though when I'm in need of a drink. -

I left my purse at this restaurant and when we went back to see if it was turned in, they told us they didn't have it. My husband then found it in one of their garbage bags in the dumpster. What kind of people would do that? There was a business card in it with my name and number on it if they had taken 2 seconds to look. There was no wallet or cell phone in it so it wasn't like they were stealing from me and that was the problem. I can't believe they would do something like that to one of their customers. I will never go back there again!!! They are obviously not very honest people.

Casa Flores marina does not deserve any stars after our experience on Sunday 5/1 for my mothers 80th birthday & my niece's children communions. Casa Flores could not accommodate our party of 35 people and blamed us for not setting up the reservation as a buffet. That does not excuse the service where the last person was not served until an hour and half after the first person was served. It does not excuse the food itself that was served. My father ordered the chilquile and it was tortilla with tomato sauce, the food was not good at all. When we let the waiters know about not being happy with the service they did nothing to but make excuses. When we asked for the manager he was conveniently not available and not one of the waiters would step up and do the right thing. It was disappointing and embarrassing for my mother and the guests we invited and Casa Flores could not have cared less. I called the manager Octavio on 5/20 to let him know how his restaurant handled our party his response was "what happened, happened".....
Casa Flores marina deserves no stars and I would not recommend to anyone or go back ever!Comment from Octavio C. of Casa Flores Marina 6/3/2011

Well, I reviewed earlier. Still gredat food. However, we tried to go last night for dinner and was told by the hostess that a table for 2 would be a very long wait. All this with several tables empty. Whe we asked why, since there were empty tables.... she just said they were for "somebody else".All with a very obvious "attitude". We have experienced this before and just ignored it. But since I have recommended it so highly previously I felt I should report that service from the hostess desk leaves much to be desired. We have personally witnessed people waiting after we have been seated for no reason at all, and have waited a significant period of time, then finally being seated at a table that had been empty the whole time. Starts you out with a negative first impression. However, IF you get seated, food is great.

HORRIBLE FOOD AND HORRIBLE SERVICE! We went for there for dinner with a group of 10. The service was very slow and they had ran out of alot items so our selection was limited. The drinks were watered down and expensive($8.50 for a weak margarita) They got several of our orders wrong so we had to wait even longer for our food. When my shrimp tacos finally arrived it had only 2 small piece of shrimp in each taco, not whole shrimp but, one piece cut in half. It was really sorry. Then they charged us a mandatory 18 percent tip on our bill because we were in a group! I honestly don't see why people eat here, we won't be going back.

Came here with a group of friends for dinner. Service was good; the waiter was friendly, although he kept pushing us to order something from the bar. I guess they're known for being a drinking location?
I ordered the enchiladas with mole sauce, and everyone else ordered some kind of combo. Even though there was a tad bit too much of the sauce, I thought the enchiladas were good. The mole sauce had good flavor and it was just the right amount of spicy. I liked that it came with whole black beans instead of refried beans. I would definitely order it again.
Unfortunately no else really liked their food. The tacos and burritos were sub-par. Probably won't be ordering those again. -

Great place for great food and a nice "family" atmosphere. Everything is "low key" and staff are great (even the ones NOT in the family) Wifes organization had a Xmas Party here and they really went all out to accommodate everybody. As soon as they get their Mom's recipe for Flan down right they'll be "perfect". The location is great because it's not "out on the street" and easily accessible.
