This place oozes charm! Two girlfriends and I stayed in the Celeste Villa for a few nights, and we had a great time.

The upsides: beautiful décor, comfortable beds,  tv/dvd player (not that you should watch it), lovely kitchens fully furnished with washer-dryer, dishwasher, ice maker, trash compactor, and ours had a mini-fridge and freezer that pulled out like drawers. Adorable. If it had been colder, we would have lit a fire every night. See? Charming.

Overall this place is really convenient to everything downtown; it's just blocks from the square and Canyon Road, which you should absolutely not miss if you visit Santa Fe.

The Casa de Estrellas spa is literally steps away from the villas, so take advantage of it while you're there. We got two free massages and 20% off any other service when we booked, so don't be afraid to ask. I would definitely return to this place.

    A few notes:
--My friend got the runaround when she called to book reservations. It seems like they are marketing the villas as time-shares, so that could have been part of it, although we only saw one other person who checked in while we were there. Be prepared for some flakiness.
--Our mini-porch was super rickety. Like, when I stood up my wineglass would tip over and it wasn't due to excessive drinking!
    --Don't expect maid service.

We stayed three nights in the Celeste Villa.  As other reviewers have noted, the location is excellent, with most things within walking distance.  The unit was clean, and the design was interesting.

But here's my concern:  a lack of overall maintenance.  Several things (dishwasher, ice machine, ceiling fan) didn't work.  Light bulbs were burned out.  At the rates this place charges, it seems like a little oversight on the room maintenance would be included.

I will probably stay elsewhere the next time I am in Santa Fe.

My husband and I stayed at these adobe style villas during our trip to New Mexico.

They are fully furnished, containing the necessities of living in a vacation home during your stay, even a single garage for your car. The villa was spacious, with ample room to fit about 3 people comfortably. The interior was beautiful. Decorated with Moroccan artifacts, natural mud and straw walls in open dining and living rooms. There are also kiva fireplaces, copper bathroom sink, and antique furnishings and local art. The outside of the villas were very plain and non-descript. The villas can either be convenient for a family with children (like we do), or a romantic getaway.

It's just within walking distance of the Plaza de Santa Fe and Canyon Road (where there are an eclectic assortment of art galleries.) We hardly had to take the car out because everything was so nearby.

The only downside to this place is the complete lack of New Mexican hospitality. Upon check in, the villa employee basically gave us the keys, quickly showed us how to open the door with the key pad, and begrudgingly helped my husband unload the car. The next day we saw him again and he told us maid service was optional, but didn't ask how our night was, or if we needed anything, or had any questions. After that, we never saw another worker ever again. It was sort of nice because no one bothered us. On the other hand, we ran out of paper towels and the trash hadn't been collected during our entire week long stay.

Stayed here and was really impressed by the incredible interiors and furnishings.  The designers really used each space creatively and the rooms are a delight.  The location is ideal and parking was no problem. The neighborhood is ideal and close to the plaza.
But I was totally put off by how difficult it was to find things in the rooms, such as towels and soap.  They weren't set out when I arrived and took some searching to find. Ended up borrowing soap from the guest in the other building.
Watch out for the doors, too, they have sharp nails and studs and can really hurt if you catch one.
Only saw one staff member, when I arrived, not particularly welcoming, and he was gone in seconds after I received the keys.
overall very nice but needs some "hospitality" for sure.

This place is the best. From the expresso machine, to the heated towel racks, Mary has spared no expense detailing these villas. Every nook and cranny is detailed to perfection. I retort the other reviews about service. It is stated up front that service is upon request, so you have complete privacy. Best B&B I've ever been to.
