Oh my Cary Lane, you are my new obsession!
The first time I came across this fantastic store I knew it was love! I called in yesterday to have a pair of pumps I had my heart set on for months to be put on hold for me,the friendly voice from the other end gladly obliged.I rushed to the store immediately after work and my shoes were of course already wrapped, boxed and set aside by Cary himself.Talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE! A major factor one should never overlook.EVER. He rang me up and threw in an extra 20% off to an already marked down price.(Yes,ladies and gentlemen,he did.)Truly retailgasmic! I perused the extensive and impressive merch they had on the floor and was told that they will be carrying vintage clothing as well very soon. Having worked in fashion,I'm definitely giving Cary Lane a well-deserved bravo. Needless to say,I skipped and hopped on my way home with sky-high heels in hand and a twinkle in my eyes, both my date enjoyed that evening. ;)
OK. Please don't be jealous. This can happen to you at Cary Lane.
I went to the Noe Valley Street Fair and Cary Lane was having a 50% sale on all apparel and shoes. I snagged a pair of Charlotte Ronson peep-toe wedges for $12 (!!!!!) and a pair of Loeffler Randall GORGEOUS flats, usually $168 for $24 (!!!!!) Yes, I am still in shock.
Go and find yourself a deal of a lifetime. Cary Lane has sales often and each time I go, I find something unique and beautiful for unnecessarily cheap. I would say this is better than my beloved Jeremy's.
I bought an octopus necklace here the day I moved to Noe Valley which has become a cherish-able accessory in my wardrobe that I wear almost every day. Other than freakin' awesome clothes and accessories, Cary Lane carries soaps that smell divine!! My favourite is the big green one.
The owner Cary is a great dude and the girl, Noele, is beautiful.

Happiness is $680 worth of boots for $90 plus tax! AMAZING sale at Cary Lane in Noe Valley, SF! Xmas shopping for myself TOTALLY done:o
The only negative thing I can say, is that I live in Florida so it will be a while before I can visit this store again!
The prices were phenomenal, Cary was so nice & helpful, the store was uncluttered.....It was a perfect shopping experience.
Everything I bought was so reasonably priced AND it was an additional 40% off today!
We started our vacation 10 days ago in san diego, then stopped in LA, now in San Fran and this was my best shopping find of the entire trip!
Don't even think about it......if you love fashion, you must go here.
This is one of those places that you need to visit often. The selection isn't large and much of it consists of sample merchandise (even the shoes are marked sample, not for resale). It's worth digging around for designer apparel at 40 - 50% off retail on a regular day and even greater discounts during sales (e.g., 30 - 40% off everything). They have a little bit of everything including a few baby items, about equal amounts of clothing for men and women and SHOES.
Some of the items were a bit damaged but most were first quality and casual. During my visit they had a ton of Twenty8Twelve samples, including tees and easy jersey pieces, shrunken cardigans, sweaters w/ interesting button detailing. They also had loose draped items for women that looked vaguely Grecian. Simple Twenty8Twelve jersey tops retail for $100 - they're not cheap even on sale. I also spotted a piece or two from White & Warren, Elizabeth and James, Rebecca Taylor, and Sonia Rykiel. They had some American Apparel tees and leggings (probably the most affordable items in the store). For accessories they had a few necklaces, leather belts, and gingham scarves.
Shoes! They had one pair of Repetto flats, Loeffler Randall flats (2 pairs), Michael Kors, Report Signature, cute peeptoe booties, etc. Many of the shoes were on the dressier side (which I appreciate).
They're having a belated grand opening event on Friday, June 26: 50% off apparel from 12 - 7 PM, 8 - 11 PM: DJs, party, drinks, dancing, and a raffle.
I love love love these kinds of shops. The owner used to be the buyer at Jeremy's. This store is like a best-of-or-better-than Jeremy's. Great clothes at great prices. I got a Rag and Bones blazer here for under $130. Beautiful!
The men's clothes are lovely, too, and I'll be back here shopping for my husband.
It's pure awesomeness! Cary has impeccable taste and style, and this store oozes with it. Thanks for bringing a slice of fashion heaven to Noe Valley.
This place is awesome. It's like they've picked through the best of samples, marked it down a ton, and put it all in one convenient small shop. Noele was real low key and knew just when to help me out while I was browsing and I was able to find a trendy dress shirt for $35.
A place to check into every now and again.
I used to live upstairs from this shop. Can you say DANGEROUS? At first I only had to resist Shoe Biz across the street, and then..... oh dear.
Cary, the proprietor (who by the way, is extreeeeeeemely attractive), is great at what he does: Sniffing out high-end designer "extras" from various sources, and selling them for completely and totally reasonable prices. My roommate came home with a pair of HOT jeans that typically retail for about $220... she paid $55.
I pop in about once a week to check out new arrivals, and have found some really great, high-quality basics as well as insane couture-looking tops and dresses. Don't get me started on the racks and racks of jeans.... swooooon.
The boyfriend is also a big fan: Ben Sherman button-downs for $37??? What's not to love???
Designer goods in discount prices right near my house is a-ok with me! Especially if a hip and friendly store-owner is selling them to me! I loved that it didn't feel like a picked-over Jeremy's or a destroyed Ross. I didn't have to crawl, duck, or wipe my hands in navigating the clothes.
They had a good selection of jeans (even paper denim) and I was able to get a cute little jean skirt that originally retailed over $120 for about $20 thanks to their sale.
I give them 4 stars for now because they are just starting up and I think they are gonna get a lot more amazing stuff in. Daily Candy mentioned they have Marc Jacobs which has my heart, but I didn't find anything. Overall, I wasn't wowed by the clothes but I appreciated the style and the selction...especially because my husband could shop too!
Noe Valley has a lot of stuff for girls. I know, I walk around there almost every day. There's that expensive joint Rabat, Ambiance, and there's even this cute little accessory store called Whisk that sells my favorite perfumes by Fresh. This I have noticed, but most of this lady gear ain't cheap. Fortunately Cary Lane provides designer goods at prices that are sometimes half of the original retail price. If you have any doubts, most of the items are marked revealing the original retail verse the actual price.
BUT, what really stands out about Cary Lane (that I've noticed through my own eyes and yelp) is that it has a large selection of men's clothing. While I may not be tall enough or wide enough to fit into any of it (that can be debated) I can sympathize with the struggle men go through in trying to find exceptional outfits. Fortunately you won't have to go too far, just take a walk down Cary Lane.
Walking into Cary's store, I seriously thought I was in Brooklyn. I told him so, too. What was this very cool, VERY reasonably priced store doing in Noe Valley? (Nothing against NV, it's just a weird context is all.)
Great clothes, accessories, shoes at great prices. Nice design. Cary has a great eye. I bought 2 hats, a cute dress AND - this is the unbelievable part - my husband actually bought shoes and a jacket. He NEVER buys anything, anywhere.
Cute store with cute stuff! A lot of great looking shoes that will tempt you out of your mind...it's like treasure here, you have to dig and dig until you find that one thing that makes you gasp for joy! Check this place out!
i heard about this little store from daily candy and have actually continued to receive emails from them even though i told myself to unsubscribe from all shopping sites. this past weekend all clothing was 40% off so we stopped by since we were on our way to the dog park anyways.
for girls, they carry a lot of twenty8twelve though im sure that changes with what the owner can get at the time.
I woke up today with one thing on my mind. To find a new jacket. I was weighing my options when a friend called me up and I told him my predicament. He suggested I check this place out. I don't head up to Noe much but I was feeling like checking a new place out.
#1. The vibe of the store is sweet. Nice and minimal emphasizing on the clothes and accessories.
#2 The owner/buyer is real mellow and easy going letting me peruse the merch of the store. He has great taste and knows up and coming trends. I tend to be picky. Hehe
#3 Price was already reasonable but to the consumers advantage there was a 50% sale going on when I arrived. Woo Hoo!!!
I ended up with a great jacket, t-shirt and scarf for around $50 bux...
Upon arrival I was thinking about spending around $60 for just a jacket. The deal I got was wayyyyy sweeter than expected. All I can say about this place is that it is the total package. I'm going to be pumping more cash into this place like the government to AIG! Hit it up pronto...
Super-cute store! He has a great selection of mens shirts and jackets. I am anxious to go back and see what else is coming in...
I trekked all the way to Noe Valley to check this place out, as I have friends who won't stop raving about it. Turns out this small boutique was able to live up to all the buzz, then some. The sales associate working was super friendly, attentive and helpful. And, with regard to the selection and price point(s), both were impressive. What I was just as, if not more, pleased with was the nice selection of men's clothing. Most boutiques that boast selling men's and women's clothing, typically allot ~1 corner of the store to mens wear. This place is almost equally divided between the two selections. Something that made my visit even better was the additional 30% off they were offering on their already fair prices.
I stopped in this shop randomly on my way to work and walked out with the sexiest pair of jeans! The price was really good and the people working were really helpful. I've been telling all my friends to go there bc I had such a good experience and the clothes are amazing. Can't wait to go back!
This shop sells clothes for women and men. This made it perfect for my best friend/roomie (a guy) and I to go in here after brunch in our new neighborhood. The guys clothes were all big and not cute, he couldn't find anything he liked. They were kind of plain. The womens clothes were likewise pretty plain, a lot of plain color t's and tanks, etc. there was a bit more potential though... nothing that would fit. I did see some cute pink high top sneakers, which came actually in a bunch of colors. Unfortunately, they started in size 7. the store guy told me that this store is a sample size store, so all the clothes/shoes in there are the leftover sample sizes. I thought sample sizes were small, but maybe not. Too bad my size 5-5 1/2 foot couldn't fit in any of those cute high tops because ive been wanting some. Oh well. I may check back here for clothes at some point. Friendly service as usual for noe valley :)
I came here during their 40% promotional sale. They have tons of stuff from this British brand called Addict. They also had some J. Lindeberg stuff, which I thought about getting, but the sizes were kind of off. I ended up getting this really nice orange trench coat that was originally $240 and on sale for $120. I got an extra 50% off because there was a red sample stamp on it, which didn't bother me at all. At least they told me that before I bought it so I appreciate their honesty. Whenever I wear it now, I totally stand out and in a good way.
I love this little store in Noe Valley. The owner is super friendly and stocks the store with designer goods at discounted prices. I am on the mailing list, and regularly get offers for 30% off, in addition to the already low prices. The owner has great taste and I wish him much success. My husband likes to go with me because the store also has a nice men's selection.
I went to Noe Valley specifically to check out this place as I heard many good things about it from friends. Firstly, I love the store's vibe, it's got a hip feel, cool music in the background and I felt instantly comfortable as soon as I walked in. But the main reason I went to Cary Lane was to check out the men's clothing. I'm always having a hard time finding clothes that I like actually FIT me. I scored with this place. I was able to get a $280 cashmere sweater for a little over $60!!! I also got a pair of pants as well. Win win. I'm going back on pay day!!! ;)
Okay, so I finally went to Cary Lane...actually, I've been there 4 times already since it opened. This store is ah-may-zing. They have the biggest selection of hats I've ever seen anywhere. Hats of all kinds! The selection is so vast that you're surely to find a hat that will fit your dome. I bought this cashmere sweater (with leather elbow patches) for my boyfriend for Xmas that was normally $400 for only $100. He has not taken that thing off since. Oh yeah, when you walk into this cute boutique, it smells like a spa. I dunno if it's the lotion they sell or they're burning candles or what but it smells like a dream. Come by and check this place out. The owner Cary is super friendly and a dapper little dresser himself.

This is an awesome place to shop! I definitely recommend it. WAYYYYY better than Jeremy's.
This place is downright killer. The owner is hand-picking samples from last season, has great taste, and is obviously well-connected -- the result is clothing that's totally stylish at rock-bottom prices. Both men's and women's. Not much inventory, but it changes all the time, and you know that everything was selected with utmost care. Since these are samples, the sizes are very limited, so you kind of just cross your fingers, but I found a great, affordable jacket in under 15 minutes. I'll be back for sure.
I'm broke all the time! But some how Cary Lane made it possible for me to still buy rad clothes! I love this place, I'm so glad they opened!!
I love that the store has designer samples. It is well layed out with ever changing (but not over stuffed) merchandise. I got a cute faux fur muff which worked perfectly in New England over Christmas holiday.
Wow, love it! I got $500 Givenchy shoes for under $100! The went in the next weekend and got 2 pairs of Miss Sixty shoes for $60 each - awesome! It is so much more fun to shop there than the regular stores, which are a total yawn. It also helps that Cary is super nice and helpful. Definately worth a visit!
This is a great little store! My boyfriend and I were eating brunch in the neighborhood and decided to do a little window shopping when we ran across Cary Lane. They have classic clothes (with an edge!) at amazingly affordable prices. We both found a great outfit for our night out - definitely will go back!
