I went here two weeks ago on a Thursday. I had a great time. They have the cutest little outdoor patio area and they play good music. I also liked that they had drink specials :)
I had the appetizer that was pretty much a taste of everything...cheese curds, calamari, chicken strips. I liked it because it went really well with my beer. It was no five star restaurant, but it was a great place for 20 somethings to hang out. I had a drink called the big kahuna...yum yum...and steak which was yummy as well. The only thing that was a disappointment were the green beans...I am no fool...I know that they were canned. I don't like vegetables anyways, so the steak that was accompanied with coconut shrimp were all that mattered to me and they were delicious. My guest's meal was good, the pasta was cooked just right...I know this because I stole a fork full when she wasn't looking.
We had the sweetest little waitress. She admitted that she was brand new, but was still awesome and very helpful. She was attentive, which was surprising after reading the reviews on here.
I would have given them five stars, but they didn't open the place on time. They open at 3 and here we were out front playing with the door, and it was locked at 3:15. I called their number from my cell and they confirmed that they open at three...so I told them that I was out front and the door was locked. Soon after they opened up, thank goodness because I was hungry. -

We went there with a group of 25 last Sunday. We made reservations weeks in advance and they were not ready for us. They did jockey tables around and even move the pool table to fit us in. The service was just OK. But the real issue is the kitchen. It took forever to get our meals over 1 hour. It is interesting to note that this place was not crowded. (This should have given us a clue) The last person that got their meal was someone that ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. A grilled cheese sandwich.... really??!!! The food was good but unless they really make some changes in the kitchen I would pass this place up. There are many other places to go in town.

This place was awful.
When we went in, apparently there was only one cook working. I can understand the time it took to make the food- stuff happens. No big deal. What was a big deal, however, was the fact that the waitress made NO effort whatsoever to make up for that. Our water carafes were empty half the time, and the bread basket she promised us never arrived at the table. Several members of our party ordered side salads, which also never showed up (but they sure as hell were on the bill!). Then, when our food finally arrived, half of the orders were wrong! From my dining experience, most servers will double check the food before it's served to the guests. She did not. Also, Carvetti's apparently doesn't put dressing on their salads either- we had to ask for it.
I found it funny that the ONE thing they brought to the table without us asking was catsup, mustard, and more napkins. We already had several bottles of each. LOL. -

I agree Saturday nights are bachelorette party central. I was apart of one of them and there were three more and a birthday party that came after us.
First off, we called to make a reservation and asked for a call back but never got one so we showed up with our party anyway. After some miscommunication, they found us and we were seated promptly.
Granted I know the place was slammed with parties but we did run into a problem with getting our food. It was actually the bride to be's dinner that never came until we all were done eating and waiting around. Our server comped the meal, some drinks etc. but still...He was trying to be funny about it but hey, whatever. I also found it interesting the brought the alcoholic drinks to the people that ordered them first and kept forgetting the non alcoholic drinks for those who didn't want to drink.
The food, when it came, was very good. I can't complain about that. I just think that I'll try this place on a week night instead of the party night where we get attention from the server and they aren't preoccupied. -

Average food, below average service and overpriced food and drinks. They didn't even honor their advertised specials. Too many other great choices in LG to waste your time here.

Cool outside with lots of room and nice volleyball courts, but....
Just don't do the $50 all-you-can-drink plus 1 entree deal that most bachelor/bachelorette parties usually find interesting. They don't tell you, but tax and tips get included to make this "deal" about $61 total. Entrees are about $10, so you're paying $50 to drink for 3 hours. Unless you're slamming red bull vodkas or some other expensive drink, it's way too expensive. We had 13 people and it came out to over $800. We would have been better off just building a tab the whole time we were there. -

Yikes! Who knew that on Saturday nights, this place becomes bachelorette party central!?
A large group of us came in last night.. for a bachelorette party. Our waiter informed us that there were six such parties there for the night.
Our food was pretty good, and portions were plentiful. JP, our waiter, took care of us, and we appreciated the complimentary shots.
The outdoor area looked nice, but because it was 60 degrees out, we opted to stay inside. When we first arrived, the music was at a tolerable level, but around nine, they turned it up so that we could not hear the person sitting next to us. And for some odd reason, they kept playing the same five songs over and over again.
I would come back here again for a group outing, but if I was just after a meal, I would go somewhere where the music is less obnoxious and the food was less greasy. -

Oh yea such a great party, I can enjoy the party from my apartment. Music is so loud, it plays at 90 decibles till 2am on a work night. Been there waste of space. Turn the music down, we work in this town. City officals are looking into this.

It was the worst place I have ever been to. We got our first drink order and then placed our food order. No one came by for almost another hour. Two tables sat waited and got up and left. After 55 minutes I asked our waitress where our food was at. She left came back about 10 minutes later telling me they got our stacking order wrong. Never working in food service I had to ask what that meant. They had some food done, assuring me the order would be right up. Just as I suspected our food was ice cold as it had been sitiing. Three of the four items arrived were wrong ond one item never did show up. She asked if they could remake our food and we declined, it took another 15 minutes to get the check for the items we had. While waiting for hte check the cook who looks like he cooks meth when not there came out to ask if he was remaking our order or what? Don't watse the precious time you have in this lovely resort town on this joint. We went to Champs explained what happened and had food in front of us and the kids in 10 minutes.
Carvettis, horrible service, bad food, major attitude when you ask for what you ordered. -

They serve frozen pizzas, and charge $10+ for them. Salad and paninni mediocre also. They would be better off scaling their menu to a few really good items that the small kitchen can handle.

A damn shame. Awesome outside/scumbags on the inside. Go hear for lunch during the day. Night crowd is a bunch of dirtbags-and terrible WAY loud music by crappy local DJ's, a total waste of an awesome outdoor area.

don't expect fine dining here. However, if you expect decent bar food, with barely adequate service, you'll be happy. I had a greasy burger and they gave me like 7 fries. My observations of the local species getting out of control appear to be congruent with other yelp reviews.

Although i have never been there myself, i have heard it is Excellent! Not just the food (amazing!) but also the local feel, including local bands, singers, and deco! Although i hear it is amazing...i have also heard bad reviews from it...such as coming out to slow and a little rude. But if you have time to blow and need the taste of LG, go on over to Carvetti's... and see for yourself how you like it!

Me and my girlfriend went here last weekend while on a short weekend trip. I had read the reviews which weren't great but I went in with an open mind. We really wanted to try the Wonton Mozzarella sticks as we had had them before and enjoyed them.
We went in at about 2pm, and it was DEAD empty, aside from the waitress/bartender and some guy talking to her it was empty. We ordered the wonton sticks, I had a western type Burger with bacon/cheddar/bbq sauce, and my girlfriend had a chicken Panini.
My burger was cooked like I wanted it and served with shreaded cheese which was a plus! I got plenty of fries as well. The panini my girlfriend said was OK not stellar.
I think the Burger was ok as well not amazing but not horrid either and the prices were decent for Lake Geneva. I'd like to have gone there at night when the place was a bit more Bar like, but the food was decent in my book. -

THE sleazy waitresses are the only reason to go here. Thye actually look like broke down strippers LOL. THe Italian (sort of) food is not good and pure grease. Go there for beer and eye candy
