7 reviews for Carpe Diem Inn
It's all about the details (99.8%).
We spent a long weekend in P-Town staying at Carpe Diem, and we were blown away by the owner's attention to detail. The staff were super friendly, they all have great smiles and eagerly introduced themselves to us. Breakfast was exception. There is a daily breakfast special, besides the regular toasts, jellies, bagels, muesli, yoghurts, fruits, muffins, eggs (your style).
We are sugar snobs, so we were ecstatic to find out that they serves at least 4 kinds of artisanal sugar for your espresso/coffee and at least 8 different kinds of teas, round the clock!
If you don't feel like going out, the inn has tons of places within for you to lounge and relax: cozy living room with coffee table books about Europe and P-Town (don't miss the photo album of the transformation of Carpe Diem itself), courtyard with different nooks and crannies, spa (we loved the gorgeous steam room)... and if you get one the rooms with private backyard, you don't even want to go outside.
Warning: the pictures on their website did not do our room its justice. The room actually looks much classier than the pictures on the website.
Now the 0.2%: Cheese and crackers served during the wine and cheese hour were a bit disappointing (cheddar and saltines). One of the owners is French! How could that be? But we managed to overlook this because everything was just, perfect.

Carpe Diem is about as good as it gets in Provincetown. The staff are superb and the guesthouse is clean. It's a less expensive alternative to the Brass Key. A nice spa area compliments the nicely landscaped guesthouse grounds. Daily breakfast is a nice feature with made to order omelets or eggs. There is a nice outside area for relaxing. WiFi, off-street parking, and in room coffee, tea, and refrigerator are all part of they stay. The team here is great, you can't go wrong staying at Carpe Diem.
I'm with Whitney W. on pretty much every aspect of her review of this amazing Inn, save for the fact that she forgot to mention the outdoor jacuzzi. I'm a sucker for those.
Also, we got a holiday card from the owners the following holiday season, which I thought was extra sweet.
I didn't adore the room a ton (but we booked it last minute so whatever, beggars can't be choosers) but the location is amazing, the inn is gorgeous, and the breakfast was phenomenal, and very European styled.
Loved it, loved it, loved it. Plus they are apparently open in the off season, so I might try to make it down there later on this winter.

You haven't lived until you've eaten their waffles, sat in their common room, and gazed upon their aesthetically appealing staff.
