This place is a great breakfast spot. I just found it this past Saturday after spending the night in West Sacramento. (Should I have said that out loud?) What a find.
My girlfriend and I shared the bacon waffle that has chopped bacon in the batter. What a great idea. Why hadn't I heard of this little treat before? We also shared an order of the biscuits and gravy. Yum. The biscuits are large and fluffy with very decent gravy.
We each had coffee. And boy do they like to refill your coffee. I would have to say that I couldn't remember the last time I had such good coffee service. It's like they are getting a kick back from the coffee mafia or something. All other restaurants should take note: This is how it's done!

I've heard good things about this place, and I don't know what went wrong, but I ended up coming here at around 11:15am on Superbowl Sunday.
Sat at our table, ordered drinks, then ordered our meals, and proceeded to wait...
... and wait
...and wait some more.
People were starting to get up and leave because their orders weren't coming out. Even more people were coming in and waiting a good 10-15 minutes for a table, and leaving themselves because the place was so crowded.
It must have really been an off day, like their regular cook wasn't there. Even the regulars were asking the staff about the wait.
Our meals came out a good hour after we ordered (we stared at the large Betty Boop clock most of the time) and it was very "eh" - not exceptional at all.
Menu selection was awesome, but the long wait makes me wary to come back and try it again.
Decor looked like they took 1950s kitsch and threw it in an older Sacramento-area elementary school classroom.
I did see the freaking huge biscuits that Carrie was talking about, in a way, I wish I had ordered that. Those things were softball sized!

Holy crap, I love this place. It is one of my favorite weekend breakfast joints. They have a HUGE breakfast selection ... great omelets, fabulous potatoes, and excellent biscuits. Not crappy hockey pucks that taste like lard. I'm talking four inch tall flaky biscuits. You can get gravy on just about everything. Mmmmm, gravy. Nice friendly staff.
FYI - Stay away from the hollandaise sauce. It looks like Chinese mustard and doesn't taste anything like it should.
