HORSEBACK RIDING!! What a great sport!! My husband claims riding is not a sport but a hobby. Says you don't get exercise riding. HA!! All you riders out there know what I'm thinking.....
Anyhow, this is a great barn. They board horses there as well as give lessons and have shows. They are extremely accommodating about schedules and the staff are just great. My daughter is taking lessons there and is have a great time. Although she is not a true beginner, they will evaluate where you are with your skills with your first lesson and then fit you into a group lesson from there (unless you want a private lesson). Lessons are a little pricey but hey---this is a pricey sport. I know others who take lessons here as well and very much enjoy the lessons. I've been at barns before where the horses are just run into the ground with use/over use but I don't' feel that about this place. Huge paddocks for the horses and lots of room to ride. We also board our horses there and have been very pleased with their care. We have been called immediately when they have been concerned about situations. Again, they are very professional and we have been very pleased boarding here. They also have horse shows here periodically. Well run but the one I was at wasn't' over run with entries. It is a good place to take your horse to if it's young---just to get used to getting on and off the trailer and going to other farms. Not alot of pressure. I understand they also have dressage shows as well which are very popular but I haven't seen one in the time that I've been there, yet.
If you are looking to get a son or daughter---or husband--introduced to riding, give them a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. OR---if you've been itching to ride again---I'm sure they can accommodate you as well.Listed in: My Neighborhood
