I just started working in Mt. View,  and found this place a couple of weeks back. I've already eaten there 3-4 times. The first time I tried it, i was skeptical because it opened late and the it didn't seem like the cleanest place. However, the food was very good. Traditional Filipino food, with a great staff. The food has lots of flavor and I can eat there every day. The Pork Adobo is my favorite.

If you are in the area, you won't be disappointed. There is lots of parking and plenty of seating outside if the inside is full. Very fast service.

I visited this restaurant with my bf for lunch. The food hit the spot. :) they're very generous with the rice and the guy behind the counter was nice. Im filipino and everything but i forget what the dishes are called. all i can remember is that I got a meat and potato 'oolam' and longanisa.

I also got a halo halo. how can you not get a halo halo.

the place is kinda small so theres arent to many places to park or sit to eat.

i think Wah Wah Wee was playing on their tv.. i think

I came here with my family for dinner tonight, not knowing what to expect aside from my mom mentioning earlier that we might get a catered plate from here in the near future.

Driving up, we were surprised at the appearance of the place.. it resembled a Filipino Falafel's Drive-In (http://www.yelp.com/bi...), a small standalone building with a covered patio seating area and ordering window. We actually sat inside, which had five or so tables and very Filipino decor.

It is family owned and operated, and two of the three workers we encountered were very friendly. (And if that girl sitting on the stool being antisocial was not an employee, then she shouldn't have been sitting behind the counter. That's all I have to say.)

The food really tasted like it was made by a family for their own family, not commercialized with a ton of MSG or bland because it was made in large batches. I have never had adobo with potatoes in it, and it was GREAT because the flavor was all soaked up. MMM. And there were pineapples in two dishes we had. I didn't exactly like the lumpia though, aaand I thought it was strange that I found corn in places where corn doesn't normally belong..

We watched Wowowee as we ate, and lauged at the Lolo's and Lola's win and lose at Hip-Hip-Hooray. Apparently this place is pretty poppin (ew I said poppin) at lunch time. With a closing time at 7pm, don't arrive too late because they tend to run low pretty early in the evening. She did, however, offer to fry up some fresh lumpia instead of have us eat the three dried-up pieces that were in the pan already.

I'll probably be back, but now I'm intrigued. I had no idea these random Filipino places existed anywhere south of San Mateo!

I love this place.  The food is great and the people are super nice.  The price is very reasonable for what you get.  I must say that this place is very authentic, esspecially for the Mountain View area.  They'll even throw on the kareoke machine, and have a huge book of songs that you can sing if you want.  It is the traditional filipino point and choose your dish.  There is a menu, but you can't really pick what you want off of it, as the choices for the day are already pre-cooked.  Its a great place, friendly atmisphere, and great peple.

Coming off a late night at work I wanted to pick up something quick because I knew cooking dinner was going to take a while. As I was driving home I remembered a taqueria that  I wanted to try. When I pulled up however the taqueria was no longer there. The new place turned out to be a Filipino place and so instead of tacos I figured I'd get some lumpia as an appetizer.

In looking at their menu, they have a vast array of food. I don't know much about Filipino food so I'll just list a bunch of the items they have and maybe someone who knows the food can educate me...

From the menu of stuff I couldn't identify:

Pansit Canton or Bihon
Pork Menudo
Kaldereta
Tinolang Manok
Kare-Kare
Lechon Kawali
Igadu
Nilaga
Bicol Express
Ampalaya
Pikabet
Ginisang Gulay
Diningding
Mongo
Ginataang Laing
Adobong Sitaw
Goat Kilawen
Pinapaitan
Dinakdakan
Bullalo
Bulaklak

That's a whole lot of food that I know nothing about. I got the lumpia and noticed they also had Halo Halo which Yelper Van Ness D introduced to me (and subsequently semi addicted too), so I picked up some of that too. The Lumpia were fairly large and cooked fresh there for me, and while I waited I noticed that they were setting up a Karaoke system. This place is pretty tiny so I'm sure it doesn't take too many people to fill it up and get it rockin'.

The people who work there are really nice and they said they've been open for only a few months. I guess being the cuisine explorer I am I have to return because there's just so much food here that I've never seen before and change my review accordingly. 3.5 stars for now.
