This paper is totally local and really amusing. I usually find the articles funny and some are actually in depth about city issues. It's worth the low price of subscription.

The Capitol Hill Times used to be delivered to our doorstep...must have been a mistake as I think you have to pay for that service.  Anyways, it is a fun read to pick up and browse if you find it anywhere on the Hill.  The police blotter is always hilarious but maybe a slap in the face about the drug use and the like that goes on in this part of town.  Worth a read.
