I was here for a conference and when I called to make a reservation, the cs rep booked the wrong Hilton Hotel when I was specific on which hotel I need to stay at.  They couldn't fix the mistake they made so I was stuck with this one.

The feeling I had for this room was pretty good.  I didn't find anything wrong with the room.  The room was not near the elevator so I didn't hear people walking by.  It was however next to a street light but I closed the blinds so it didn't bother me much.  I had a king size bed and the room did seem small.  The bathroom was pretty small also.  I was staying by myself so it didn't bother me much.

This location is great when you have conference in DC and it's close to the White House and the mall.  It was a little pricey but this is one of the 4 star hotels.  I stayed at Grand Hyatt at DC and I think the rooms there are better.

Summary:
--large convention hotel
--good location for White House area
--ok location for Metro, but a couple of blocks walk
--rooms small and older
--decent executive lounge and breakfast

Ok, this is another DC convention hotel with average facilities.  Front desk generally couldn't care less,  though they'll upsell you to the ok executive lounge if you're susceptible--it's not the best, but it solves the breakfast issue.

Ok access to public transportation for DC, nothing spectacular.  Once again, have your company pay.

The first room I was put into had a bathroom so small the door hit my knees if I sat on the toilet and my arms could pretty much reach one side of the bathroom to the other.  The light bulbs were crooked and hissing when I turned on the lamp.  Bright streetlight outside my window.  Loud people on way to elevator. Armoire placed in a funny position so you had to extend it on the tray and turn it to face the bed.  One unhappy customer.  Luckily, they responded promptly to my request for a different room, this one was decorated in a more sensical way and the bathroom was larger, and the lamps worked.  However, the phone next to the bed only worked on speaker.  The rooms desparately need updating. The room service food was fairly good.  Convenience to where I had to be every morning could not have been beat, but only a mediocre hotel overall.

I was here for a conference. The room was very small, which is not a big deal to me, but the bathroom had no counter space at all.

One of my co-workers opened the cabinet under his sink and low and behold, he found a mouse trap and a roach trap. Eww!

For the prices this hotel charges, you'd think they could control the critters. Gross.
