A classic favorite... Your standard upscale steakhouse. The only thing I'm not fond of is the atmosphere. The bar/lounge is too close to the entrance and the beginning of the dining room. It's extremely loud, due to some of the loud ones at the bar that think everyone wants to hear them. Guess what? We don't!

Went to the Capital Grille this weekend for our second anniversary with a $100 gift card. Glad we had it, since with appetizer, mid-priced bottle of wine, two high-end entres, two desserts, and two after dinner drinks, we still dropped about $150 of our own money. But it was worth it. The drinks are expertly made, the wine list is huge (I'm hardly a wine expert, but it is a wine list like that - which I enjoy perusing - which makes me understand why some people get so overwhelmed by restaurant wine lists), and the food is superb.
Pretty typical fare and decoration for an upscale steak house: lots of meat, seafood and dark wood. Not the place for nouveau cuisine. The veal chop with Roquefort butter was awesome and my fianc's surf and turf (with lobster-stuffed shrimp) was phenomenal.
The prices aren't for those on a budget or for the faint of heart, but for a special occasion, it is hard to beat.

We had an excellent meal here (expensed, of course). The place seems like a typical high-end steak house. Lots of dark wood decor. Large wine cases. Large tables. Everything is large.
The staff were really excellent. We had lots of laughs with our waiter. He was attentive but not overbearing.
The food was perfect. I had the filet mignon, which was excellent. My gf's steak (I can't remember the cut but it was served with porcinni mushrooms) was also quite tasty. The potatoes au gratin were really yummy. The creme brulee, though not the best that I've had, was very good too.
If you can afford it, I would highly recommend this place.
An upscale restaraunt for special occasions or drinks on the company tab. For dinner I recommend dress attire and a reservation. The menu is a la carte so you order your own meat and then side dishes for the table. The service was impeccable. We had lobster and thoroughly enjoyed it, tender and juicy. I've been twice and had a good time.
