My lobster salad was too much salad and too little lobster.  Sadly, the best food we ate while in Orlando.

I think my favorite part is that there was a gigantic painting of a lady in a red suit and fedora who appeared to be mid-stroke.

Capital Grille is a great place.  I would rank their steaks behind Del Frisco's and Ruth Chris' but it is definitely top tier for Orlando.  Their prices are similar as well in the $35-$40/steak range.  My wife had this incredible Filet, I went with the Delmonico which was good but not as satisfying as the Filet.

The wine list is very extensive and they have a number of quality choices by the glass.

The ambiance reminded me of a country club, elegant wood throughout, nice subdued lighting.

Sure it is set on I-Drive but along The Pointe there are a number of decent places to shop and grab a drink after dinner.  I would definitely return.

YUM!  I know this is a chain, but I had a very nice dinner here last night.  It was exactly what I was looking for.  Came here with a group and had easy reservations via opentable.com.  I love making reservations via this website as they even reward you with points that equal $$$ vouchers to participating restaurants.

Christopher was our server and he was humorous but still kept his professionalism.  We started with the bisque, wedge salads, caesar salads and the french onion soup.  I personally had the bisque and it was delicious and especially nice since the a/c in the restaurant was just pumping through above us.

We then had cocktails and ordered a bottle of the Penfolds cab/shiraz ($64) which was very drinkable.  Their cocktail list is very fun and I highly recommend the Stoli Doli.  I have had it before so I stuck with wine on this night.  The Stoli Doli is Stoli vodka infused with fresh pineapple.  Its displayed in this very cool octagon shaped jar by the bar if you want to take a look at it.  Just served over ice is perfect.

We then moved to our entrees of filet cuts all around.  I had the kona crusted which also had a shallot butter reduction ($42).  I thought mine looked the most flavorful. The filets looked decent, but kind of dry?  Mine was very heavenly decadence with all that butter.

And of course with steak, you have to have the awesome sides.... We shared au gratin potatoes, regular mashed potatoes and then some mixed veggies.  They were nice enough to split the order of potatoes so we could try two kinds since we couldn't decide.

Desserts were shared with creme brulee and scoops of their homemade peanut butter ice cream. I wondered what the Capitol Grille Strawberries were...as do they grow their own or something?  Or are they scented with steak?  No, they are marinated in grand marnier and then served with scoops of vanilla ice cream. I stole a couple of those strawberries and put them on my peanut butter scoop.  Oh goodness.  So yummy.  A dinner for 4 ppl at about $260 before tax & tip. Def should have been more, but some opted for salads/soup vs. having an entree.

This was a great restaurant option as we walked around a bit after dinner. There were many other places we could have tried too as this complex alone had a Tommy Bahama and Oceanaire restaurant within spitting distance.  Viva la Orlando!

The wait time Aija speaks of is non-existent.  I have been there many times and have never waiting more than 5 minutes for a table.  Maybe there was some convention or something going on.  It is also not psuedo-nice food, an expert and intelligent pallet will notice that the quality of the steaks and side dishes cannot be beat.  The filet mignon is absolutely amazing.  ALL of the side dishes are amazing.  I have been with many people many times for a decade now (to the one in Miami, I have only been to the Orlando location once), and there hasn't been one person who was short of stunned when coming here.  The iceberge wedge salad is fantastic, it has big juicy tomatoes and homemade high quality bleu cheese dressing.  The spinach is the best I've ever had, they have excellent bread to start, the mashed potatoes are awesome, and they always have a new kind of steak to keep you interested.  The only problem is the price, but you get what you pay for.  The service is among the best in the world, the wine list is among the best in the world and is very extensive.  If in this Orlando location there is actually a wait (I went and I didn't wait at all), then, like an intelligent classy person, make a reservation.  If you're low class, Denny's eating material, this place is not for you.  Only for the classy pallet to be sure.  Dress nice and act appropriately and you are in for the treat of your lifetime.  The atmosphere is perfect and they also have a nice bar if you want to watch a sport on TV.  Capital Grille is the best steak I've had in Orlando hands down.  I have tried many high end steak establishments and this beats them all.  The Orlando Sentinel continuously praises Del Frisco's, but I promise, I have been to Del Frisco's 4 times now and have been going to Capital Grille my whole life, and this beats it in every way.  Last time I was dining at Del Frisco's, in the middle of eating my average tasting steak, a giant cockroach scurried through the dining area and under my table and made everyone freak out.  A real quality steakhouse like Capital Grille would never have that and if by some freak accident they did have that, they wouldn't expect you to pay.  We had to kill the cockroach because they wouldn't and they didn't comp our meal, they just gave us a free dessert.  Which is a problem because we were full for dessert and their desserts suck.  Capital Grille is the #1 high end steak house I have ever been to.

This is definitely a classy steakhouse. Unless you're a chump, like Aija K. (see review below), you wouldn't come here without reservations. The fillet was knee-buckling glorious. The wine list is great and the waiters seem to be fairly knowledgeable. Get some good red wine, a big fillet, and some potatoes and spinach on the side and you are set up for a hell of an evening. Good company never hurts either.

If you don't mind over a 2 hour wait with mediocre pseudo-nice food, crowded bard and waiting area, this place is ok.  This is a chain restaurant with other locations (Chicago, Las Vegas) serving better food than here.  Considering that there is not much else better in the near vicinity (a Tommy Bahama restaurant, Adobe Grill, Hooters, and Maggianos) this may be the best choice.  I would suggest arriving at around 9 pm when the crowds seem to die down and you no longer have to wait a ludricous amount of time for a table on a weekday.  Afterall, Orlando food does not even come close to New York City, so why wait as if it were?

Walked in on a Tuesday evening and were told that the only tables available were outdoors.  There was a large conference in the area (we were attending), so that explained the rush. Somehow one member of our group was able to coax them into giving us a table. Once inside I noticed  a lot of open tables, but maybe they were reserved for later.
Anyhow, the restaurant has a impressive wine list, the wine list was much larger than the menu. They also display personal wine vaults for famous/rich people.
To the food, we were a group of 4 and only one of us was up for a steak. He ordered a filet mignon, other orders were the roast chicken, the swordfish and the salmon. We also got side orders of the potato au gratin and onion rings. Both were huge. Personally my swordfish was a bit overdone, but i tried the salmon and it was just perfect. Also the roast chicken was a whole chicken and would have been sufficient for 2 people. The entree prices were in the 25-35 range and the side orders were around $10.00
Overall its was a nice place for a business dinner.
