My family loves to stop in at local restaurants when we're out of town and we found Cape Fear BBQ on our way back from the beach.
First good sign was a mostly full parking lot on a Saturday after normal lunch hours.
This is great, down home North Carolina BBQ and the fried chicken is also fantastic! All homemade! I also had the cole slaw and baked beans and they were also great!
It seems to be a local favorite and the lady in line after us ordered 115 pieces of chicken for a gathering she was having!
Highly recommended for what it is. A local diner serving up great local barbecue and fried chicken! Yum!
Oh yeah, President Obama stopped by in October 2008 for a bite to eat while he was in town!
