I didn't actually stay here, but I did spend some time chatting with Michael, the super friendly manager.  He gave us a tour of the lovely renovated lobby and adjunct art gallery, pointing out vintage photos of interest and telling us good spots in town to visit.  (He takes his restaurant recommendations very seriously, BTW.)  The man is a font of local knowledge and was even able to tell us what time the sunset would be that evening!

All 17 rooms have private baths and are recently renovated.  If I were going to stay in Cape Charles, I'd stay here (and not just cuz they have a little wine bar downstairs...).

Yeah, Michael knew it all.  He was very conscientious about his recommendations for restaurants, for example.  He didn't know much about a new place, so he couldn't recommend it.  He's probably checking to see if anyone is Yelping his place, since we told him about this site, so I'll just shout out Hey!
