Cape Air
1 review for Cape Air
Flying Cape Air is a wonderful experience, second to none. The little airport New Bedford Airport is regional and offers two vending machines and restroom facilities. The low-fat vanilla and chocolate fudge bar is delightful and the kind staff doesn't even mind if I bring the tasty treat aboard.
Pack light because you are flying on a plane that's more of a mini van, with one traveler sitting essentially on top of the captain, and Cape Air will have to tell you to unload some things if it's too heavy. They also ask for your weight to make sure YOU aren't too heavy so I'd put that box of nutter butters to the side if you are planning on going to one of the cape islands via air transport. It's about a 25 minute plane ride to Nantucket, although you'd never want it to end what with the pretty water below. My S.O tells me it can get pretty gnarly aboard in bad, especially windy, weather.
