Canyon Rim Adventures
1 review for Canyon Rim Adventures
Want to see the less traveled places of the Grand Canyon with some creature comforts? Give Canyon Rim a try. They are an outfitter for the Grand Canyon area.
A trip with them is the best way to leave civilization behind and enter a land that will leave you with a sense of awe. The northern rim has a pristine feel--if you run into four people on your adventure then we call that a traffic jam. It's quite a contrast compared with the southern rim where thousands come each day and visit for about 15 minutes.
Toroweap point is one of the most impressive views of a lifetime, but not an easy place to access. They make it easy--you sit and listen to tunes in a van equipped for this kind of adventure. You'll see the legendary "Lava" and the tiny specks that are the rafters making it down the river below. I don't think I will ever forget all the views on this trip. It beats just about anything I've done in the area.
The food is great and service excellent. To sleep at night with coyotes' singing their wild songs and to see that many stars in one place is the kind of adventure most of us can use at some point in our hurried lives. It was an education as we hiked and biked. There was a love of the canyon from these folks that was infectious. We packed a great deal into the adventure, but I felt relaxed. I felt safe. The guides know their stuff and it shows. Both guides were also outstanding at dealing with the different levels of fitness in our group.
Folks, do the northern rim if you like remote places with views of the canyon, great company (people come from all over the states on these trips), adventure, and some fresh air and some exercise. These folks make back country awesome for those who like a little comfort way out there where the wild animals live. If you decide to go, ask them how Kenny the rabbit is doing. He's quite the legend and you'll want to know all about him.
