6 reviews for Canyon Ranch Motel
HOT TUB surrounded by gorgeous utah mountains!!
Right in front is the local shuttle.
AC works great.
Room are clean and pretty quiet - This depends on your neighbor. We shared a wall with our friend and they couldn't hear a peep from our room... and when you have 4 people in one room - its pretty hard to be quiet. However, they could here the other neighbor's TV- who didnt' share a wall with them.
I didn't like the smell of the cleaning supplies they had... peppermint. Something about it was a lil overwhelming, but I guess that means they kept it super clean!!
Great place! Conveniently located on the Zion shuttle route (if you want to go climb Angel's Landing, check out the weeping rock, or just see the sights of Zion)
Notable features:
The two bed room we stayed in with another couple was shaped like an L so there is actually a bit of privacy and it insulates against noise a bit.
Pros:
Talk to Mark at the front desk to get some recommendations on food. Everything he suggested was great.
Microwave for heating stuff up. TV!
HOT TUB.
Cons:
Fridge was a bit small.
Seriously - this place has everything you need in Zion - if you're spending that much time at your hotel you're not doing Zion properly.
For the price and location and pleasant ambience around a grassy lawn, we loved this place. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were immaculate. We liked that it was well located near the shuttle stop to Zion National Park. We appreciated that the manager took lots of time to tell us about hikes and nearby attractions.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It is located very close to the park entrance (only 1 or 2 stops). I only wished we could've stayed longer and spent more time on the beautiful grassy lawn to relax or grill dinner (grills provided).
This motel is a prime location in Springdale, very close to the entrance of Zion's National Park. We stayed here one night because they were sold out for the rest of our stay. The rooms are in little cottages with 2-3 rooms in each cottage. Your door opens to the parking area. Our room was very simple but very clean. It had a decent sized bedroom and vanity area and a regular sized bathroom- with shower. The bed was not as comfortable as you will find in the more upscale places, but for $79 a night- this was a great deal.
The best part of the stay was waking up in the morning and seeing the amazing red rocks towering above. Since we arrived late at night, we did not expect the view!
We visited Zion last March, and jumped at the chance to stay in these cottages. Since it was the off-season, and there are two rooms per building, we didn't have to share walls with anyone.
Staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to restaurant selections. Rates were extremely reasonable -- same price as local motels, where we would've had neighbors!
My only very small complaint is that the hot tub was more like a lukewarm tub. Our room was right next to the hot tub, which seemed like a great indulgence in the evening... however, the water was tepid at best. Since the air temp was in the 50's, it was a bit chilly. Otherwise -- a fabulous experience!
And who wouldn't want to wake up on a sunny morning and look right up into red rocks towering overhead??
