All set to a backdrop of endless blue ocean and colorful, casually sophisticated décor, Miami's only oceanfront, coastal Mexican restaurant, Cantina Beach presents innovative menu additions and daily specials inspired by Mexico's culinary regions, created by Chiapas, Mexico-native Chef de Cuisine, Andres Parlange. Vibrant hues of red and blue alongside espresso furnishings accent the cavernous, thatched palapa roofed restaurant, built by the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians. Plush lounges, tiki torches and a fire pit complement the natural oceanfront setting, which is so captivating in its beauty that the island's first settlers named the location, "favorite path of the rising moon." Our Tequilier (tequila specialist trained in Mexico's Agave growing regions) Heriberto Ovideo offers recommendations on the restaurants 110 premium tequila selection, the largest 100 percent Agave tequila collection in Miami.

The chips!! Love when a Mexican restaurant has the thin crispy homemade chips!!
Beautiful location, outdoor restaurant on the beach.
The food was delicious.
Waitress was super nice!!
A little pricey- but expected at the Ritz.
I would for sure eat there again.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Chris R.Key Biscayne, FL06Apr 23, 2024
Stopped here for drinks and dessert! Incredibly attentive and engaged staff who seem to really care about your experience. Although food and drinks are on the expensive side, this should be somewhat expected at a Ritz Carlton restaurant on the beach, We sat at a high top on the sand, with some good music, and a fantastic view! Would 100% recommend!

Cantina Beach is a simply amazing restaurant! After meeting a friend here for dinner recently, I'm simply tongue tied trying to articulate exactly how good the dining experience was :-)
Everything (drinks, food, and service) was nothing short of incredible! We started our meal with guacamole (which they make while you watch, table-side), which was completely delicious. That said, the salsa they brought to the table along with a basket of chips was just as good as the guac, if not better! The salsa's texture was smooth and completely non-chunky; I wish I had asked for a jar of it to take home ;-) We also ordered the fajitas, which were just as delicious as the guac and the salsa.
For our mains we shared the poblano rice with corn and the crispy shrimp. Neither dish disappointed; it seemed like everything we tried here was as good or better than what came before :-)
Bottom line: If you're in the neighborhood, I strongly suggest that you stop in here for a meal and/or a snack - you will NOT be disappointed!

You are here at Cantina Beach because you are enjoying the ambience of the Ritz Carlton.
Everything is lush and luxurious.
You are sitting under the palm trees looking at the ocean.
If you are not looking at the ocean, you are looking at the Ritz-Carlton's spectacular grounds.
You are drinking rum drinks or maybe you are drinking tequila.
You are thanking God for your good fortune.
You are paying for the experience of temporarily (or permanently) being a member of the 1%.
The Ritz Carlton does not have to put much on the table in re drinks or Mexican food to keep their end up on the deal.
As long as the food and drink look as good as the scenery, and as long as the fare is pleasant enough , everything will be fine.
There is no need to put out any exotic Mexican coastal specialties.
Everything here is something you have seen before at some other Mexican restaurant - upscale or downscale.
The rum goes to your head.
You dine in leisure and repose.
Inside the open air hut, everything is cool and comfortable.
Your bill is going to be semi-astronomical.
But do you really care?
If you were not born into money, there was a time in your life that you could not have afforded this.
You are now living a life where this is possible.
If you want to celebrate your good fortune even more,
They have a Moet and Chandon champagne vending machine in the lobby.
I didn't spring for the Moet and Chandon vending machine.
I am sure you can get champagne more cheaply elsewhere.
But you are here now.
The palms are serene and green.
The sea is serene and blue.
And your face will be a not-at-all serene apoplectic red when you get your Mastercard Bill.Helpful 5Thanks 3Love this 5Oh no 0 - Feb 1, 2023
In Miami for a couple of night , pre- cruise time, it was an opportunity to revisit one of my favorite beaches that I had enjoyed as a teenager here.
Fortunately, Key Biscayne is very close to the JW Marriott on Brickell where we stayed .
While enjoying some Crandon beach time, we walked along the beach to here for an afternoon light lunch.
We were seated outside on the patio by choice and enjoyed the beach view.
Complimentary fresh corn chips and salsa, we ordered guacamole that was fresh and tasty.
Hubby enjoyed the fish tacos, tortilla soup, and I ordered a salad. Unfortunately, I had to return the salad due to the poor condition of the greens.
The refreshed salad was definitely a step up and exceeded expectations for freshness, added ingredients and presentation.
Service was very good as we had hoped for a Ritz location. Great place for people watching too!
Skip valet parking and walk on over!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Zoe P.Orlando, FL0919Jul 21, 2023
I LOVE IT HERE! I did a staycation with one of my good friends. We used to work at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando and wanted to try another Ritz out. We were blown away with the service and food. The staff immediately came up to us when we sat down to lounge at the pool. We ordered the steak nachos, steak & chicken quesadillas, and french fries. It was the best poolside food I have ever had and for not a bad price too. Everything tasted very fresh and it had the perfect crunch; nothing was soggy. All the food was seasoned very well. Overall, I was very impressed with the ambiance of the pool and restaurant.
You HAVE to go to Dune Bar and try Geno's famous frozen mojito. It's the perfect drink that will quench your thirst all summer long!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 4713752Feb 20, 2023
The food is just ok for the price. It is not authentic Mexican & way pricier than a good Mexican spot. The service is hit or miss- the people are always nice just can be so slow at times. Come to Cantina Beach for the ambiance (especially outside, on the sand) - this makes it totally worth it.

Beautiful view. Loved the location. Food was mediocre but not as expensive as I anticipated. The table side prepared guacamole was not nearly as good as the reviews I read here on Yelp. I would pass on it next time. Especially not worth $25

Warm and friendly welcome. Frank and the bar staff are amazing. Making it easy to order at the bar to take out.
Amazing drinks the Black Blue Mojito and Virgin Pina are our favorites. The bar also accommodates our request to have Coke instead of Pepsi.
The kid's menu is great and definitely, and the octopus ceviche is amazing.
Thank you for the amazing lunch.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chuck T.Miami, FL4698Jan 1, 2024
Nice little breakfast/lunch spot. It's pricey but portions are large. I came on New Year's Day, the Cuban was great and this is a single order. Note though it's not a traditional Cuban, it has Prosciutto instead of ham and pork.
