This hotel has a great location.  It's two street blocks from the convention center and actually connected directly to the Circle Center Mall.  Along the blocks in other directions include St. Elmo's and the Ram.  For those in need of a quicker meal, Steak and Shake is right across the street.  Plus, they have their own restaurant off the hotel lobby.  That's pretty much as good as it gets.

It's small, however.  The building is wedged in there with barely enough room for two cars to be parked in front of it (valet service is sometimes sluggish) and the rooms themselves can be a tight fit if you've got a larger party.

Businessmen seem to be their target audience.  So it's easy to feel underdressed or just not quite proper enough.  But the staff doesn't make you feel awkward about it, it's all in your own head.  In fact, the staff is immensely helpful.  Our first night in the place and I discovered that I had forgot my toothbrush.  We called the front desk and they ran one up to us.  It was pretty cool being handed a toothbrush on a golden platter.

Very nice hotel in downtown Indy, great location, next to St. Elmo's.  Small rooms, very nice lobby and restaurant

This hotel just wasn't that great. The room I had was tiny, the bed was old, and the comforter was thin, not very warm, old and ugly. The thermostat was tricky to operate and only has "warmer/colder" settings - not actual temperature settings. The two elevators are both very old, slow and rather beat up.

The hotel does have 24 hour room service, but I didn't try it as it was pretty expensive. This seemed incongruous given the age and state of the hotel, so I went to the 24 hour Steak and Shake across the street, instead.

You can get directly into the Circle Center mall from the hotel. That was nice, since the office I was visiting is over in that direction. I was able to walk inside and avoid the snow and rain.

I had a drink in the lobby bar one night, and my gin and tonic was served in a water goblet instead of a low-ball glass. It's a very small thing, but it was yet another disappointment. Also, the mini-bar in the room doesn't contain tonic.

Ate here with a colleage and I must say that I was not horribly impressed. For one there was absolutely no ambience...and when you are in a nice restaurant, inside a hotel, at lunch time when NO ONE else is there, you kinda need something going in the background to keep you from going buggy. And there were speakers, but no music coming out of them. We were literally the only ones in for lunch and we were there from 11:30-12:15 -remarkably slow, I thought more people went there for lunch...but then again you do have Harry & Izzy's just down the street, the Ram, Alcatraz and Palomino up the street and all the restaurants in the mall. But I figured with the new direction they were taking renaming the restaurant to Danielli and all that they were headed in a new direction, but from the looks of it they really aren't....the only thing that looks any different are the paintings hanging on the wall. Food was good, but not amazing or anything out of the ordinary and for what it was I thought it was over-priced. Will probably not be a return visit for me.
