Specialties
Canoe Kentucky specializes in canoe, kayak and raft rentals and sales. We offer guided and un guided trips on the Elkhorn Creek and the Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky. We can handle individual paddlers or groups up to 200 or more.
We also are the largest paddlesports shop in the state, and one of very few shops that offer "test drives" on all the boats we sell. We are proud dealers of:

History
Established in 1981
Canoe Kentucky began in 1981 as a scout project. We have grown from our original 6 aluminum canoes to a rental fleet of over 75 canoes, 40 kayaks, and 12 rafts.
We have also been doing retail now for 15 years, and continue to grow every year.
We are in our 5th year as an instruction shop as well.
In 2009, we will begin our first year as a rental company on the Kentucky River. This will be a great way to experience downtown paddling in Frankfort, as well as a chance to paddle some higher end boats, including the Hobie Pedal Kayaks.

Meet the Business Owner: Nathan and Allison D.
Nathan and Allison have been managing Canoe Kentucky for the past 8 years, when the reigns were handed over by Ed, the founder of Canoe Kentucky, and Allison's dad. Allison began with the company in 1994. Nathan began in 2002. Along with their two sons, they give every bit of passion they have for paddling to their customers; their friends!
