I don't really have anything to complain, but can't sing them praises either.  The place serves its purpose as an extended stay hotel.  So don't expect anything fancy.  Keep in mind it's designed for extended stay.  Front door is locked after 8PM, after which you have to use your key to get in.  Front desk is only open until 11PM.

Location is great !  right next to Santa Clara train station.  Same complex with Starbucks. Near the police station and across Santa Clara U.  Near 880 and 101.

My room is a studio. It's clean, has a full size fridge, stove tops, microwave, and dishwasher. 27inch TV, dvd player, lazy boy, work desk, hi speed internet.   Full service housekeeping is weekly -- which is just right for extended stays so don't expect housekeeping if you're only staying here for 3-4 days.

They have a small fitness room (1 treadmill, 1 stepper, 1 weight-training, 1 stationary bike).  Laundry is free which is great!  There's a honor-system cupboard where you can get snacks, drinks, etc. and just drop in the money in the box, or fill in a card with your room number.  I saw a $7 charge on my bill for the cupboard which I didn't use, apparently another guest charged it to my room,  but it was resolved quickly and I was credited back the charge.  The front desk also has DVDs and videotapes that you can check out. They have decent selection.  About every other week they have a bbq outside where guests can socialize.

I got a special rate for my extended stay ($60/day for 3 months - no tax since it's more than 30 days)  which is a huge discount from their advertised rate -- which I think is way too expensive for this hotel class.  Basically the rate I'm getting is comparable to regular 1BR apartment rate minus the hassle of getting bed, furniture, setting up internet, cable, etc.  I think it's quite a good deal. Definitely much cheaper than corporate housing (I got a quote from several places) or short term furnished apartment.
