With all the rain.....
despite being the back wash for space shuttle launches....
it is still a beautiful place and so very filled with life

I will never forget the sunburn that I received at Jetty Park on my first day of spring break. I spent the entire week nursing my poor back and legs back to health. Wear sunblock!
Lots of rocks to climb on and it is just a very beautiful beach!
Playalinda Beach (and Mosquito Lagoon) is my favorite Central Florida beach.
Because it's part of the national park system, it's pristine and well-preserved. Lots of interesting plant and animal life, and lots of nude sunbathers ( ... but if you don't mind them, they won't mind you).
The seashore is in the fallout zone of NASA shuttle and rocket launches, thus the park shuts down a few days before launch. Be sure to call ahead before visiting.
