Tucked away in the El Cerrito hills behind Arlington Park is Camp Herms - home to Cub and Boy Scouts alike. Today, I attended an Eagle Scout ceremony for a good friend of my brother, who will himself be receiving his Eagle Scout in a couple weeks. Call it a dry run for my family - in anticipation of the serious program, the pomp and circumstance, and of course, the oodles of food.
The lodge itself is pretty basic - replete with animal heads adorning the walls and woodsy animal print curtains. I have no idea how my brother's ceremony will go but I'm already thinking ahead to a full dessert buffet... Mmm.

This is a great place to rent to have your own gathering. We often gather here with kids and it is a fun filled relaxed atmosphere.
