I  have been going to Cam Lai for five years- first when she was at another salon, and now at s her own salon. Her work with highlights is amazing- she has a real eye for color and even when I've gotten a blow-out or updo at another salon, the stylists there have complimented me on my highlights.
She also gives me great haircuts that grow out beautifully, so I don't have to do a lot to maintain them. On top of that, she is so friendly and professional, as is her whole staff. I highly recommend her for haircuts, but I also regularly get soy waxing done there by Dolores. She does an amazing job.

Camlai is a real gem of a place located in a cozy townhouse in Georgetown.  The salon offers hair, nail, and waxing services. I walked in earlier today for a manicure and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish!

The receptionist greeted me with a big smile and told me that even though I didn't have an appointment, I could get a manicure right away. She led me downstairs where I met Toya who was also very welcoming.  As she did my nails we chatted with her colleague, and I enjoyed the calm atmosphere.  Toya applied warm cream and hot wash clothes to my hands and carefully shaped and painted my nails.  

Then I had the pleasure of meeting the salon's owner who is very warm, engaging, and charming. She also introduced me to one of the hair stylists who also quite pleasant. We talked about salons and how Camlai began.  

I really encourage Yelp readers to give this small, friendly place a try. The price for the manicure was reasonable, and the service was very good.   Last but not least, as I mentioned before, the atmosphere was very relaxing and tranquil.  (:
