Ok, this place is in my backyard for now...literally, yesterday I watched a golf ball hit the curve next to my car...glad it didn't shatter my window...so after my first morbid thought of death by a golf ball to the temple (6 feet under), I thought  "I should check this place out, it is in my backyard/parking lot"

A teen-bopper date spot.
And a 30-bopper date spot.

Grrrrrrrrreeeeeaaaaaaatttttttt.

Luv*it.

Go karts for 6 bucks. I thought I stopped the insanity when I turned old enough to drive...um, but, uh, no. I still wanna ram whoever, even if you have a kid in the passenger seat, into the inner circle. Lap you around and then jam you right before I beat you to the finish line. Yeah, I have no regrets, I don't cry about it when I go home, I laugh at you as I speed by.

They have batting cages....they are a bit dildo, I have to admit. Some work, some don't, sometimes it spits two balls at you at once, sometimes none at all...but I LUV IT. 2 bucks for this kind of entertainment....a simple challenge, that's all it is....and worth it.

Then there's the whole arena of arcades, bummper WATER cars, and mini golf. I love being left wanting more....

And Bakersfield folk say this city town sucks....I digress....

'Put me in coach, I'm ready to play'....JF

After my elimination from Regionals, we decided to make a night out of not having to play.  We started off here, where the prices were so great!

$2 for the batting cages.  I did a round of this in preparation for my softball league that starts today!

Then we did a round of put-put.  This was really fun, except kind of janky.  A lot of the lights were broken or a lot of the holes were not maintained so even if you made it in the "middle bridge" thing, your ball still shot out in no man's land.  Not cool, especially on the last hole when I was certain I would've gotten a hole in one when I made it in the center bin...but my ball never came out!

Kieran won, and I treated him to Dewar's the next day.  :)

After put-put, we played a shooting game thing in the arcade which was fun, then some street fighter, and of course an intense round of table hockey.  Good good times, and all the employees were soooo nice!!!

The whole night probably put us back only $25 or so.

Since I was staying at a hotel nearby I decided to check this place out. Particularly the batting cages. I was a bit disappointed in the fact that the machines were not very well maintained and the slow-pitch softball cage that I used kept shooting balls too high and they would catch on the lip of the opening in the net in front of the machine so I would get balls rolling at me instead of arching in a hittable pitch.

I then tried the fast pitch baseball cage and couldn't hit a pitch. Can't blame the machine on this one although I'd like to. Still for a convenient and cheap place to blow a few hours it ranks reasonably high on my list. Especially when I'm stuck in the B'field.
