7 reviews for Camelbeach Waterpark
Great water park. Vortex and Cobra are the best rides. Water shoes are not necessary but could make your heels feel better after standing in line for 45 minutes on concrete.
Make sure to remember to wear flip flops or water shoes to the bathroom!
Pricing is fine and food is just ok but do not expect healthy choices.
Honestly it's a pretty good place - there aren't that many rides, but for a day it does the job. On a Sunny Saturday the lines were never longer than 45 minutes (compared to Mountain Creek with 2 hours) and the tiles used everywhere around the park never got hot. I have pretty sensitive feet, but only a few times did I feel warm, but never hot, so no need for water shoes etc.
The prices for food aren't that bad either honestly - yes it's overpriced, but compared to Great Adventure or other places not too bad. $3.50 for 32oz of soda, $3 for a cup of fries, $2.50 for a churro, $8 for a big cheesesteak . . .again not great, but not horrible.
It's pretty good family fun, not that expensive, the bugs don't come out until 6, and it's pretty clean. Plus it's really close to a giant factory outlet right by exit 299 (The Crossings) of route 80 (open til 9pm all but Sunday).
We get season passes every year!
Many different places to eat,
in a very safe environment.
Minus one star for the expensive food/beverages!
Water is four dollars.
Also, long lines ut that is expected.
CamelBeach is the water lovers' heaven! Set next to CamelBack ski area, CamelBeach boasts lush pine trees (can you describe pines as LUSH?), convenient sidewalks, and ... oh yeah... the water rides.
Everything from racing slides to a lazy river, swimming pool to an enormous water play area for the kids. My favorite are the two bowl slides. The lines are usually fairly long and you have to carry your tubes up the steps, but the rush is well well worth it!
Other perks - free parking, and free picnicking. That's right - you're allowed to bring your picnic lunch into the park. Where else can you do that! They also have a cafeteria style hot meal area if you don't feel like bringing anything. Free admission after 4pm if you come to buy your ticket for the next day. Usually we take advantage of this and just chill back in the lazy river and gossip for a bit. Lockers are a few bucks, but well worth the investment, as you'll have somewhere to put towels, keys, etc. And the cost of admission - only 30$. Take the whole family - when you buy 3 tickets you get a 4th free!
Just don't forget to check out Vortex and Titan cuz those are my favorites (and you have to think of Mia K when you go to CAMELbeach!)
Not a big fan of any place that has loads of screaming kiddies but this waterpark is so big and spread out that even I can enjoy it.
This is the summer version of Camelback ski resort - they make great use of the mountain when there is no snow by putting up giant water slides.
The wave pool is a hoot but the biggest lure for me is the cozy outdoor tiki bar where they have live music and fairly cheap beers!
The food is terrible - nothing more than concession stand crap so eat before you go. Spend the day, catch some rays and enjoy
I absolutely love Camelbeach! It's one of the few extremely clean family friendly places. Where else can you feel ok leaving some belongings when you take a stroll? They incorporate, even encourage picnicing so it's easy to save a couple bucks on food. Good thing to, as the other reviewer pointed out the food stinks.
It's rarely crowded and there's a water ride for everyone. I go here every year.
yay for childhood memories! i used to come here once a year after my summer camp accidentally lost a kid at dorney. it's not as big as dorney but IMHO the rides are much better. it's also less busy and the waterslides are a lot more fun.
my husband and i are now planning a trip back. i hope it hasn't changed much!
