I booked Cambria Suites through Expedia, and when I arrived, I was told that the hotel was full, and that my information wasn't in their system.  I called Expedia, and the Expedia rep talked to the lady at the front desk.  They were going back and forth over who made the mistake.  I'm not sure who made the mistake, but someone did.  I could tell the conversation between the two wasn't a good one, but with me, the lady at the front desk remained professional and helpful.  She called the GM and asked about a room that was reserved for someone the GM knew, who hadn't checked in yet.  She gave me the key to that room, and offered the first of our two nights for free, for my inconvenience.   Since the free offer meant nothing without Expedia refunding me for that night, I told the Expedia rep (who was still on my phone) about the first night being free.  She tried to make a point that I now had a room, basically trying not to refund me for that night.  I told her that we would revisit it later and I let it go for the time being, and enjoyed my weekend.  In the meantime, we enjoyed San Antonio.

On the morning of check-out, there was an envelope placed under our door.  Inside the envelope was a statement of our charges: $0.  The hotel decided to comp the entire stay.  Although the statement was useless until Expedia refunded me (which they did later), the gesture by Cambria Suites let me know that they want to make sure no one leaves disappointed.  Plus this is a nice hotel, from the lobby to the weight room, pool, and room.

What a find.  Honestly one of the best hotels I've been in.  I loved the setup of the room and the entire modern feel of everything there.  Everything was very new and very nice, and I loved it.  Standard WiFi (not the fastest in the world but gets the job done).  The room was also one of the cheapest in the area, what is there to complain about?  Bravo!

Fairly new property in the Choice Hotels family.  I have stayed here a few times and have not had any problems.

It is fairly close to the Airport, you can see onto the airfield above the first floor, so request a room on the opposite side of the building if possible.

Normally friendly staff, everyone can have a bad day.

    Decent Breakfast offering.

    Bar!

Shuttle to/from airport every 30 minutes.

Nice workout room and pool/hot tub area.

Wireless Enet is one of the fastest I have experienced at a hotel.

A/V hookups on wall for connecting laptop to television, but you have to have your own cables.  rca/svid/hdmi/audio/pc.

This is a chain I had never heard of, and I was pleasantly surprised.  It is along the lines of Hyatt Place, with a modern hip feel to it, that appeals to the GenX traveler.

The suites were huge, with a living area that had a large leather sofa.  The bed was high and soft.  There was not one but two flat screen TVs, and an electronics plug-in center where you can hook up your computer to the TV.

The lobby is airy and spacious with numerous sofas where you could simply hang out with a latte from the on-site cafe.  The guest computers have big screens.

However, what really stands out is the effort every employee puts in to make you feel welcome here.  From the van driver to the manager, all were very accommodating.  The availability of the hotel van to take guests around the immediate area is a plus.

Overall, the hotel exudes a relaxed, chill persona that puts you in that state too,

Definitely lucked out on priceline with this hotel. Very nice rooms, spacious and multiple tv's. A nice bar in the lobby and a very friendly staff. Stay here if you can. Maybe try priceline, not sure how much the rooms were normally. Nice beds too. Very comfortable.
