Bay Area
Totally worth going to! Camarillo outlets is the BEST so far that I have come across in California. Its similar to Cabazon outlets, but I would have to say this one is waaay better. Downside is that it does not have a Gucci outlet . =( The drive over is scenic and layout of the outlets is perfectly spread out. A HUGE selection for everyone. If you are an avid shopper, expect to spend a good full day there. I would have to say that I loved going to Saks, Gap, Juicy Couture (huge selection of jewlery), Uggs and Northface. They even had a Sony outlet which I have never seen before.
I am soooo glad that I do not live in Southern Cali, I would be one broke lady..lol -
Review from Alex L.
Geez, I HATE SHOPPING!
It was that time to update my wardrobe. I mapped out my stops and had high hopes I could be in and out within 2-3 hours tops. Well fast forward 4 hours and I had had enough of this place and was not done yet. There were still 3 stores I had yet to stop in but enough, is enough.
The layout is such that there are two separate sections of shops. I'd recommend parking somewhere in the middle and just walking the whole dang thing. Or do one section and get back in your car and drive to the second area. I guess it depends on how many bags you have ladies, or if you're with a dude who'll carry them all for you :)
There is a nice selection of just about anything you want so this place isn't bad. If you're into shopping and saving a few dollars then you'd be in heaven. If I rate this place 4 stars that makes me "a fan." I'm no fan of shopping or shopping malls for that matter.
I came all the way out here because they had some high-end stores that the Citadel in Commerce doesn't have. Now I find myself planning to go to the Citadel this weekend to finish up where I left off. Blaaahhhh.... -
Review from Keycee D.
How could I not write a review about this place! Grew up in Ventura County, and I've only shopped here a few times. The only reason why I've actually been to this outlet everyday for a few months was because I worked at Aeropostale & Designer Fragrances at the same time.
This outlet mall is always crowded on weekends - doesn't matter if it's a holiday weekend or just a regular weekend; it's CRAZY busy. I never looked forward to going to work because of parking!
The outlet is pretty huge, but my friends & I that are from Oxnard, now in LA/Orange County area like driving out to The Ontario Mills or the outlet in Cabazon. But hey! This place isn't that bad, they recently added the promenade which has more stores and more PARKING! -

These outlets are my fav right after Cabazon. Camarillo is well worth the 1 hour+ drive for me. I usually spend the entire day out here. My favorites to hit are:
Banana Republic
Nike
Tory Burch
Northface
Michael Kors -

Los Angeles, CA
Hands down, the largest outlets in the area. There are not 1, not 2, but 3 buildings spread out with tons of stores. I found some really good deals at Nike, PacSun, and Gap. It is a great place to stop on a road trip up North, or just for some shopping on a weekend. Of course, it's crowded on the weekend, but that is to be expected.

Review from Hannah K.
TOTALLY WORTH THE DRIVE!!! I loooooove this outlet for the following...
1. Croc store
2. Betsy Johnson
3. Northface
4. TWO Calvin Klein (cause they've got the BEST underwear)
Must come back!! hahah. -
Review from Maggie M.
I have to say that going to the outlets is a treat, especially when going to buy dishes at Corningware Corelle Revere. The prices are reasonable and there is always parking.

Orange County, CA
My first visit to the Camarillo Premium Outlets was a pleasurable one.
Lots of parking. Shops spread out into three different sections so there's not a big bottleneck of shoppers; feeling like cattle being herded from store to store.
All the usual shops that you find at outlets and all kept up pretty well. Grounds and walkways pretty kept up as well.
People who shop here regularly must like pretzels because there was a pretzel shop at each of the three sections.
There's a section just for food and there's a theater as well. Easy freeway access too!
Now if it just wasn't so far from Orange County. -
Review from Mel G.
San Francisco, CA
I think the Camarillo Outlets are the best in the state of California (granted I guess my main comparison is Cabizon out near Palm Springs, and in Northern California -- where are the outlets?).
Huge selection, great place to stock up on the necessities. I echo the advice of coming here during the work week -- even then -- it was still plenty crowded. I can certainly see how this place would be chaotic during the weekend.
Great spot! -

Great stores and awesome deals. The best deals are at the Vans and Lucky stores. My only advice is to get there early because parking can be a bitch!

This ain't no Gilroy Outlets! My comparison is that it is very similar to The Cabazon Outlets in Palm Dessert. All the needs & wants for the women, men, & children.

Every time I come here, I plan on wasting at LEAST $500 on new items...but the most I waste is about $60. Theres nothing in the outlets, nothing! Your better off going to your local mall.
Its all the reject clothing from all the top companies and its barely on sale...yea you can find a sale section in the back of the store, but its usually a reject version of the store you can find at the mall.
Not worth the commute if your coming from LA. -
Review from Cathy N.
I always find good deals here. Midnight Madness shopping for Black Friday, is especially awesome!
I only take a trip out here every now and then, and I always come back happy with my purchases.
The facilities are clean, and definitely modern. Totally worth it! -
Review from Realtor Karl B.
San Diego, CA
Went here on a black Friday.
Impossible to find parking, but we got lucky with an employee parking spot.
Didn't buy too much bc it seems like these are all the items that people don't want at the regular malls.
This place is huge and on one level, so be prepared to walk a couple of miles. -

Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, CA
Again. I hate shopping. At least here there are so many stores that while I'm there i can hit up a bunch before me 1 hr patience time limit expires!!!!
Parking is crazy there on the weekends. -
Review from Amie M.
Sherman Oaks, CA
Must mention that new food options have been added, including Panera Bread. This bumps it up, yet, the shopping this time around wasn't as stellar.
Great service from Mo at Joe's, but my (apparently common) denim size was out of stock and would need to be ordered. Not such a great idea if you can't initially try them on. But rest assured, a third trip is imminent.
Always a pleasant drive on the 101.

One of my favorite outlets simply because they have a Zumiez and a couple other stores other outlets dont have. Parking is always crazy here, suggest coming during the week, ESPECIALLY during the holidays.

These outlet stores are real nice. I don't go to many, except kicking and screaming, but there are enough choices to wander through that even I can tolerate the shopping.

Review from Eileen K.
Oh Camarillo outlets..how i love you. I grew up 10 min from here, and seriously it has grown soo much over the years. there are so many options, and i love love good deals!!
Pros:
-Spacious, outdoors. Shopping + vitamin D (sunlight)?? YES please!!
-SOO many stores. you'll find anything and everything here. My faves: Banana, ann taylor, f21, cottonon, Theory...the list goes on!
-Clean.
-Lots of walking! get off the couch and shop!
-The sales, the SALES!! Last week, Labor day weekend was 40% off of everything in the store at Banana Republic, JCrew, Ann Taylor. And other stores had AT LEAST 15-20% off. Coach had 30% off of everything.
-I get my Christmas and bday gifts here for my family. A sweater from Brooks Brothers, 20% off??? A shirt from Banana Republic?? Perfect! :)
Cons:
-SOOO crowded. ALWAYS. one time, i made the mistake of coming here on Black Friday...WOW, basically we had to park at the residential area and walk a few blocks...that wasnt worth it. But one time, I did stop by on the 26th of December, and was lucky enough to find parking after circling around a few times! It just depends on your luck of the day i guess :)
-It is the outlets, so you won't find the latest line, or sometimes your size won't be there. but if you're a savvy shopper, i guarantee you'll find what you need. Its the best for getting basics (I got 2 work pants for great deals!) but I wouldn't necessarily come here for a new outfit for a special occasion.
LOVE this place!!
OH, did I mention In n Out is down the street?? ;D -

Santa Monica, CA
I've never really been a HUGE fan our outlets given that it is usually a zoo. We were coming from Santa Barbara driving home to Santa Monica & thought we'd stop because last time we were traveling too late in the day and everything was closed. They really do have A LOT of stores but it's helpful to park near the key places you want to go because parking can suck. We parked a mile away almost! We basically got what we wanted and left. I'd avoid over the holidays or weekend if possible!!!

I'm not a big outlet person, but when in Rome....
Surprisingly people from around the world come here, I heard a multitude of languages spoken...many I didn't even recognize.
It's a nice outlet, with big names. The decor was top notch. The savings is really how well your skills are as a shopper. If you have a smartphone, I'd say your armed good enough.
The major savings come at a cost, from minor defects to "what the heck where you thinking, when you designed this?!" Last year's fashion, you only saved a few bucks. Then there's the, full price no costs savings at all, store (Levi's).
Columbia turned out some nice catches. Nike, not bad, not good. Timberland, was a little suspect. Levi's was at full price, even more I think.
Good hunting and let me know what you think! -
Review from Shreya G.
Fremont, CA
I'm not always down for outlet shopping, but when it's here, I am because I know I'm going to get good deals!
This place is HUGE. They have 3 blocks of outlets, which include high-end brands as well as more affordable brands. They have Tory Burch, Lacoste, The North Face, Bose, Betsey Johnson, and Juicy just to name a few.
This North Face outlet location has more clothes than others, so if you're looking for a Denali jacket, you're definitely in luck.
A lot of the places here have "sale" prices on their items rather than "outlet" prices. You can definitely score some good deals here though.
There is no way you can cover the entire shopping center even in one day. You're better off figuring out which stores you want to go to beforehand.
They have a VIP shopping guide, which costs $5, where you can get extra savings at many of the retailers (i.e. extra 10% off at ______, Save $15 when you spend $50). I definitely recommend purchasing that if you are buying a lot of high-priced items.
For parking, try to get here early. They parking lots really aren't that big for a shopping center.
Just...avoid eating here if you can. In my mind, outlet malls = outlet food. They have a ton of Wetzel's Pretzels locations here, which I don't understand. -
Review from Eileen C.
Oxnard, CA
Out of all the Chelsea Premium Outlets, Camarillo is the best one. I've been to the Ontario location as well as the Desert Hills one, and neither compare to Camarillo. It is just nicer in general, plus tax is generally smaller in this area. A third section was recently built adding additional stores to the directory for instance, Neiman Marcus Outlet. They have Nike, Addidas, Northface for all you out doorsy sport fans. Plus, Coach, Kate Spade, and Off the 5th (Saks Outlet), for all those looking for designer deals. Not too mention PacSun, Zumiez, and Forever 21, for those who have teens tagging along and want to ensure they will benefit from this shopping trip.
If you're hungry, skip the food court and drive over to In-N-Out, way cheaper and tastier. Panera Bread is also located in the newly built section if you are on that side and want to pass on burgers.
Parking is a headache on weekends, especially holiday weekends. Expect no parking at all! If you have a AAA card, stop by the management office for a discount/coupon book. -
Review from Soleil D.
Buy your goodies online, it'll probably come out cheaper.
Although, I will say that the Fossil store is legitimately cheaper than most places that I've visited. FACT!
Or, just go see a movie at the outlets. Eh. -
Review from Rolando P.
Irvine, CA
3.5 stars. I do not like shopping. I only shop on-line. I only went because my wife wanted to go.
Still, this is a pretty good outlet mall.
They have all the stores that will make your wallet light and credit cards heavy.
Only about a 45 minute drive from LA.
Labor day weekend was crazy.
Thanksgiving (Black Friday) will be crazier. -

***Camarillo Premium Outlet has a huge selection of outlet stores, but as with other outlet stores, you really have to search to find a good deal; not many food options around here, which makes their Wetzel's Pretzels locations very popular***
Parking is free in Camarillo Outlet's large lot. -
Review from Kat K.
Oh, hell no. 50 miles from this dangerous trap is not nearly enough distance to keep me away.
Huge shopping center, huge shops, huge parking lot.

I love to shop so when you take all the stores I shop at and make OUTLET shops out of them, I'm like a kid in a candy store. We stopped by here on our way home from camping out at Point Mugu and I am so glad we did! There's a Papaya store, Forever 21, Zumies, Coach, Vans, Charlotte Russe, and the list goes on (girls, I'm sure you can appreciate all these stores!).
No matter who you're with, there is something at these outlets for everyone! I definitely wanna come here again because we didn't even get to hit all the shops we wanted to. Regardless, we still didn't leave empty handed :) -
Review from Julie Z.
came with my roommate here for some shopping therapy. Reminds me of Gilroy Outlet. Everything is alright, nothing spectacular. 4 different squares. Pretty big.

Meh.
Outlet shopping in general was semi-ruined for me when I was alerted to the disconcerting fact that most brands manufacture lesser quality clothes for their outlets stores. I checked the tags at BR and, lo and behold, they are specifically outlet-made. Lame.
So as a rule, I only buy clearance rack with extra 40-50% off so regardless of quality level, I know I'm getting a deal dammit! I always start out at BR, and this one was a disappointment. The staff was awful (not even eye contact), and the deals were not so great.
I didn't have loads of time, and after being soured on BR, I breezed through BCBG (nice stuff, still too expensive) and Barney's (total joke, even their clearance rack).
I really wanted to check out Juicy Couture, but I decided to save my cash for the Nordstrom Rack and Loehmann's back in LA. Sigh! -
Review from Hannah K.
I despise most shopping. Especially in the valley where the closest mall is half empty because everything closed down and Macy's is considered the best department store.
At the Camarillo Outlets it's not so bad though. You can get higher quality clothing and accesories for at least "sale" price.
The stores aren't all "luxury" brand, so you can shop on a lower budget if need be.
It's nice and clean with a great selection of stores. Plus if you live in the San Fernando Valley it's usually at least ten degrees cooler out here! -

Come early, drive around, make a list of stores to visit and have a game plan. This place is huge and no joke!
This is the biggest Premium Outlets I've ever been to. I say put a game plan together. The night before visit the website, make a list of stores you really have to visit. The Outlet has three different sections and includes a movie theater. I'm glad I visited. You can literally spend all day here and possibly not get to all the stores. -

Fun way to spend an entire day getting some exercise, window shopping, people watching & perhaps putting a serious dent on several of your plastic cards. The weather is generally sunny yet cool thanks to the nice breeze flowing through.
Plenty of shops to meet everyone's needs from clothes, to shoes, to housewares & something for your sweet tooth.
Come early if you can, parking can be hard to come by and the 101 just sucks. -
Review from Jamie A.
I go here 4x a year, stock up on the good sh*t and never go to a mall again. (except for those Macy's 1 Day Sales they have almost every month, LOL) I have been here enough that I know what to go into and what stores to skip. I suggest you read a map or store list before going or you'll be here for hours and may get stuck in 101 traffic.
Now they have THREE sections and tourists seriously come here on buses and shop ALL day. I love seeing people shop with 10 bags of clothes...people should not go to outlets and buy 1 item. SHOP or stay home!
I love that you can buy things like Merrel shoes for 60% off or get GAP and Banana items with an additional 30% (plus your AAA 10% off). Hell yes, I am FIlipino and shop for deals. Hell no, I don't wait in line for Coach bags. LOL.
Fav stores:
- Nike
- the home store with the Corelle plates (next to Uggs)
- Lacoste
- Columbia (in the new section)
- Anne Taylor LOFT (new section)
- Merrel (two stores)
- Banana Republic (note that 3 diamonds on the label means it is MADE FOR OUTLET only and not sold in stores.)
And all you stores that put that black sharpie line though your labels *Tommy Bahamas* - BOOOO cuz then if I buy it to give as a gift they know I got it for cheap. =P
I also like the clean bathrooms and overall free space. You're not climbing over people. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of food options, so eat before you come or bring snacks! -

I specifically came to this outlet to check out Tory Burch. The only other Tory Burch outlet is in New York and although I L O V E NYC, I dont see myself going there anytime soon.
Overall Great selection of top designer department stores and amazing markdown prices.
Of course I would def return! -
Review from nancy R.
I'm not much of a shopper, but I think going to the outlets for some big ticket items is worth it.
The complex is divided into 3 main chunks. You can walk to all three if you want a nice little cardio workout with your shopping.
I also noticed a Wetzel's Pretzels in two of the three sections and a Panera in the other. Plus, if you want a breather before you hit the road there's an Edward's Cinema on the premises. -
Review from Colleen V.
Manhattan, NY
Spent 7 hours shopping at these outlets and it only felt like 3. Such a fun experience and a great variety of shops, didn't leave me feeling like I wasted a bunch of time on nothing.
I love the way this outlet is set up in close proximity so that you don't have to walk very far to get from one place to the other. I'm used to going to the Gilroy outlets in San Jose and you literally have to drive from one section to the next and I absolutely hate that. Not the case here, though if your feet get tired driving around is a bit easier though not necessary. There are 2 "courts" and a long promenade, though we only had time to cover the courts.
My favorites:
Main Court: Barney's, Harry & David, Cotton On (only for basics, everything else looks cheap), J. Crew (it gets crowded), Ugg Australia (don't judge me)
Fashion Court: Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Juicy Couture (not for the obnoxious velour track suits but for the great accessories), Nike
My one drawback would be the lack of coffee shops - this is America, where is the Starbucks? The food court, however has a fair selection and there are 3 wetzel pretzel's in the entire outlet, also a dairy queen/orange julius and panera.
Definitely an outlet I could go back to every year or so. -
Review from Dina Z.
Santa Monica, CA
Not a bad place to come once a year (I'm talking to you LA people). And not during holiday season!
There are 3 major sections so you'll need to use your car for a more efficient shopping experience.
The food court has a drab selection but there are places a few blocks away that are better. In n Out is close by for a high-caloric intake needed since you'll surely burn out at the outlets.
Juicy, Guess, Nike, Calvin Klein, and Coach are a win.
*Extra Savings alert *
You can print coupons from the website or stop by the customer service station (next to Tommy Hilfiger) and show your AAA card for a coupon booklet.
Happy Hunting!
