This place is Awsome, we took my 10 year old cat there to get a "lion Cut, Bat and brush" and he came out looking really clean and refreshed like new, this place is in a quiet road right next to the van nuys airport, and the staff is very very friendly there, we are taking our othere cat there next saturday to get a cut also, what makes this place great is the staff and that it's for cats only NO DOGS!! which is better so it dosen't scare the cats when they are in there.
update!! 8/16/08:
I just took my second cat today to get a lion cut, she is a hemalayan cat and she came out looking so cute, I am taking my cats there every time they need a hair cut, thanks California cat center You Rock!!!!

If you have to go out of town and need a place to board your favorite felines - this is THE place. It's clean and open and full of fun things for your fur friends. They allow open walking around during prescribed hours and the have finch cages that really keep cats amused.
It's run by wonderful people who truly love cats. I highly recommend them.

This is what an all-inclusive resort for cats looks like. First of all, it's cats-only, so your little guy won't be frightened by dogs barking, etc. Each cat gets his own huge cage with multiple levels to hang out in. On one wall, there's a TV with footage of rats running around on it and multiple cages of colorful birds in the room, so the cats have something to stare at while they wait for you to return from your vacation and pick them up. My only gripe is that they aren't open on Sundays, so you have to schedule a special pick up and pay extra if you want to pick your cat up that day. Methinks MOST people return from vacations, etc. on Sundays so this doesn't make much sense.
anyone who knows me knows that i am maybe a little bit totally in love with my cat. she's just so darn cute! needless to say, when i had to board her for the first time over thanksgiving, i was having a major panic attack. but after talking to the people at the california cat center, coming in to check out the place in advance, getting the full tour, asking ten thousand questions... i felt pretty good about leaving little lulu!
the facilities are totally clean, there are vets on hand, and if you ask for it, your kitty will get the personalized attention that she deserves. when i came in, i met with the woman who plays with the kitties ( i can't remember her name...), and she seemed totally stoked about her job and even took down a few notes about what lulu likes.
they didn't think i was crazy when i called to check in on my darling kitty, and had someone call me back to fill me in on her eating habits. when i came to pick lulu up, everyone seemed sad to see her go (because she's so freaking cute), and i was happy to have her home, but i knew that she had been in good hands.
ps: it is also very reasonably priced in comparison to some other places i researched!

Our dream was to create a peaceful, immaculate place where WE would feel confident leaving our cats if we went out of town. So, we bought a skylighted warehouse, spruced it up with a garden, fountain and extra-large condos. Over the years we have continued to add cat-centric features, including lots of scratching posts and cleanable catwalks. We're pleased to offer the coolest cats-only boarding in town and the only one owned and operated by a veterinarian with well-trained staff and a health-conscious cleanliness beyond any other. A visit is always invited to meet our friendly staff and experience our clean, calm environment.
