Y'all simply the best French toast !
My husband and I come here everyone we visit the grandparents in Elton. True southern breakfast is hard to pass !

Good food friendly staff... great plate lunches that are reasonable priced with large servings.

We had great food, ordering the chicken strips with fries, cheese sticks and a BTL for our table. It has been a very long time since I've had cheese sticks so perfectly cooked! Our food was delicious! I left one star off of our review for customer service. We are from out of town, so finding good local eats when we travel is very important. We felt a little ignored by the wait staff during our visit. I doubt it was intentional, they seemed to know everyone else in the building as it is a small town, but a little more attentiveness to new customers is the best way to make a business grow and flourish. Even with the small short coming in customer care, we would return today, except for that they are closed on Sundays.
All in, we would go back for those perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned cheese sticks every time we visit!

Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She explained everything to us. We had fried pickles, onion rings, burgers, and I had the grilled chicken salad with grilled peppers and onions. All which were amazing! Definitely get a ton of food for a good price! Can't wait to come back next time.

Nice little place off the beaten path. Good food and friendly service, they get plenty busy for lunch so probably best to hit it on the off-hours.

Awesome waitresses and food. Best breakfast and gumbo I've eaten in Kinder. Beats spending a small fortune up the road at the casino.

Coffee was great. Serving sizes amble and quality outstanding. Three of us had the big breakfast - fluffy pancakes; grits were amazing; homemade hash browns! Our 4th person had a ham, egg and cheese sandwich and commented that whoever made it knows how to make a sandwich. On top of that our service was great too!! Highly recommend you give it a try - just check their hours

Good enough food. My fried catfish was done right w/cornmeal. Fries were tasteless and butter beans were very good but almost cold when I got my plate. Hubbie had BLT & said it was good but could have used more bacon. He agreed that fries were tasteless. Agree w/Yelper who said if you are not a local they don't pay much attention to you. Service was fine but she never checked back for refills or to ask if all was O.K. They are very busy at lunch but arrived 12:20 & had no trouble getting a seat. Everybody knew everybody! Not much incentive to return.

If you haven't eaten here, don't. Burger was so soggy it just fell apart (taste was bland - no seasoning on meat) and the catfish was undercooked. Baked potato all the way consisted of a teaspoon of sour cream and sprinkle of pre-shredded grocery store cheese on what was actually a nice sized potato. Positive was it was cheap...you get what you pay for.

This is a local favorite, small but delicious!! Options are breakfast, salads, burgers, and a daily special. Thursday's are pork steak rice and gravy with your choice of sides. If you are looking for " grandmaws cooking" this is the meal for you!! Staff are friendly and treat you like family!!
