After months of trying different diets/work out regimens and not seeing much results- I finally found Caitlin. Her approach to nutrition and eating/living as heathy as a human can, has been life changing.
The first day of meeting together to discuss my diet and to set up a plan-Caitlin cut the greasy talk (pun intended) and got to business with everything I needed to know. She was upfront and honest in a very genuine way. Not only did Caitlin give me guidelines of my new diet but she backed everything up with information. She was able to work with my money situation and supplied me tips on where to shop, what restaurants to eat at and recipes to try out.
Along with setting me up with a diet plan..scratch that, a lifestyle change, Caitlin was extremely supportive via the email and phone. She has a website that is loaded with tools and useful information.
I've definitely lost weight and am fitting into my older clothes again. But ALSO, I feel healthier. I've always had some sort of stomach issues throughout my life and ever since I changed the way I ate and what I was eating-I no longer have such problems. I've also gained a lot of knowledge as to how to prevent any illnesses and how to treat them using natural and holistic products.
I am more than happy I found Caitlin. I feel like a completely different person with a totally different outlook on nutrition. =] -

After spending years doing cardio in the gym, I was looking to step up my workout and drop some pounds I'd put on over the past year (thank you Giants, for my post-season hot dog and beer diet!). When I saw the SF Weekly Deal of the Day for one month of unlimited indoor boot camp sessions for $50, I jumped on it.
Fast forward 2.5 months, and I'm now a devotee to Caitlin and her workouts. After the first month, I hadn't lost any weight, but I'd lost something better...inches from all over my body! Talk about incentive to keep going. Classes are the perfect size, so Caitlin can keep her eyes on everyone and provide individual coaching when needed. And it's never the same workout twice...she definitely mixes up the moves, with a good balance of both cardio and upper and lower body strength training. Before you know it, the hour is up and it's time to stretch. :) Caitlin is also a nutritionist and home chef, so she provides healthy food tips and yummy recipes on her site. Another plus...convenient class times (both mornings and evenings, on alternate days). Bonus points that the location is indoors, so no excuse not to workout when it's cold or raining! -

What can I say? I could have considered myself "big boned", but let's face it I was overweight and had just gotten engaged. With nightmares of looking like a whale in my wedding dress I sought out something different.
I can't say I didn't work out before I met Catlin. I did, I just didn't know what the heck I was doing. Enter Caitlin. She has changed my life. Not only have I lost nearly 30 lbs in a few short months (I went from a size 18 to a size 12 and joy of joys, and I'm still losing), but I'm stronger than I have ever been in my life. I can do push-ups, no really, I can. Push-ups!
What Caitlin has taught me and continues to teach me on a regular basis is that I can't be afraid of my body or afraid to change it, and by change it I don't mean some crazy yo-yo diet. I mean lifestyle change. I can work out like crazy, but what I put in my body is what's going to make all the difference. Caitlin is a wealth of information on nutrition, you want advice, she's got it.
Caitlin takes the time to review my food journal, talk to me about what I could do differently, and get me moving in the right direction.
I wouldn't be doing half the things I'm doing without her. Now to get ready for the 12K she convinced me to run. Me running a 12K, never in a million years did I think that possible, but it is with Caitlin. -

I trust Caitlin completely. She eats clean, works out but maintains a healthy life balance. She's an inspirational trainer. Caitlin dishes out tough love, and welcomes it back. She'll groan right along with us in bootcamp, but keeps pushing us through, and makes us better every time. She loves what she does and it shows. I recommend her highly!

Caitlin is great!! I've been to a few personal trainers before and none of them have ever sat me down and taken the time to really delve into nutrition the way that Caitlin does. It's a nice change of pace from the "count these calories and run this far" mentality. She has really started to make me look inwards and try to figure out why I do what I do and how to change my habits from that avenue.
I'm really excited to make more progress in time! And to stick with it :-) -

I met Caitlin after starting to generally feel bad. I had put on quite a bit of weight in a year, had energy problems, and was feeling old (didn't help that my birthday was coming up). But I am still in my early 30s. So what to do? I read Caitlin's personal story on her website and decided to contact her. When I heard back from her we quickly made an appointment to chat. When I left the appointment Caitlin had convinced me that she had a food solution. She outlined what I should be eating and what I should be cooking with. I had a list of books to check out. And I had a challenge. Change the way I was eating ... tomorrow. And I did. And she was right. My life started to change. Turns out my body doesn't like gluten or grains in general. Turns out I didn't have to be hungry all the time or have low energy. Turns out that I didn't have to work out six days a week to lose weight and feel healthy. Turns out making changes to work with your body instead of against it makes you feel like a different and better person.
My journey is not over, but I am well on my way. I have to thank Caitlin for starting me down this path and continuing to support me. 20 lbs later I am well over half my way to my weight-loss goal. But this isn't just about weight loss. This is about feeling better and being the best version of myself. I now feel my age (not old!) and have extra energy.
If you are someone who has struggled with your weight, been frustrated by "dieting", or generally wants to make a change, Caitlin is a wonderful resource. -

Caitlin is GREAT! I really enjoy working with her. She always mixes up our routine, encourages me to push myself way beyond what I would normally do (which is why I work with her), is patient with my limitations, and goes above and beyond what I would expect in terms of customer service. She is friendly, knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition and truly an inspiration! My body looks better with each and every workout.
I highly recommend working with Caitlin if you want to look and feel your best! I ALWAYS feel great after my workouts with her and am looking forward to our next appointment! Cheers Caitlin, keep up the good work!
Thanks for the oat bran for breakfast suggestion. My honey and I both LOVE it, and I finally got him eating breakfast for the first time in MANY years! He now asks for it every morning! Healthy and delicious! Yum! -

Caitlin is an AWESOME trainer. I worked out with her for about three months and felt some major changes in my body (I actually have a CORE now). The fact that she's been through a major weight loss and life change herself was totally motivating, and means she's empathetic (but tough!) when it comes to the challenges of losing weight. She kept things fresh every week with new moves and exercises, and was full of great nutrition advice.
Most importantly, my time working out with Caitlin reminded me of how much I love feeling athletic and healthy, and it's inspired me to stick to my fitness routine even though I'm not currently training one on one. I'm down about 25 lbs and still going.

I have worked out consistently with Caitlin for the past 3 years, most of that time 3 times a week! Somehow the time flies (in the session, too). It is never the same workout twice. Caitlin challenged me in the beginning to change my lifestyle, my eating, to make commitments and to embrace what my body is capable of (even interval running, which I never thought possible). The best advice was to keep a food diary. But then there are a hundred other words of wisdom you'll hear from Caitlin. She has tested them all herself, and trains from that experience. Her nutritional guidance is leading edge and well researched. Thanks Caitlin. you made all the difference to my success!

Caitlin has cheerfully dragged me through several years of exercising. I am not the most consistent person, and I will find any excuse not to exercise, but Caitlin sized me up quickly. She's very patient and attentive, checks in regularly, and will not accept my excuses. In other words, she has always believed in me--sometimes more than I've believed in myself. Finally, after many years of struggling with my weight I've lost 18 lbs in 6 months under Caitlin's tutelage. I feel better and stronger than I ever have and the weight is still coming off. She never gave up on me.
I have absolutely benefited from her nutrition and training knowledge. Caitlin combines professionalism with caring. She is the real deal. -

Caitlin ROCKS! I've been working out with Caitlin for only a short bit - she's helped me become pumped up about going to the gym again and get back into the swing of things. I like how she provides an array of information and goes above and beyond with tips and tricks for living a healthy lifestyle. The proof is in the pudding - she lost weight and maintains it which is especially motivating/inspiring.
Our workouts are fun and exciting the day's I do not train with her I make it a goal to incorporate some of the exercises into my workout. I feel my muscles and feel far better than I did 2 months ago. I look forward to working out with her. -

It is so nice to have a trainer who loves to push you to exercise and who loves to give you recommendations about nutrition and menus at the same time.
A friend of mine tried to convince me to work out with Caitlin for months and I was reluctant after so-so experience with other trainers. However when I finally decided to give a try I became addicted immediately and every time I am coming back to San Francisco I go back to Caitlin.
Caitlin is giving you full attention all the time and keeps changing the exercise so you never get board.
My best diet is to go and see Caitlin twice a week! -

Caitlin has been training me for a little over a year, and she is great. Not only does she constantly come up with ways to make our training sessions unique and interesting every time we meet, but she is also a wealth of nutritional information. Weight loss is one of my goals and she always has great suggestions and is totally motivating. She will also send me encouraging emails in her spare time. She kicks my ass with tough work outs, but she truly does go above and beyond to make sure I am achieving my goals. I highly recommend her as a trainer.

I have been working out with Caitlin for 6 months and I highly recommend her. At my first session I thought it was going to be like every other trainer I've worked with, who just pushed me too hard until I regretted exercise and never understood my weight struggle. What I found in Caitlin was not only a personal trainer, but a nutrition coach. Someone who understands where I am and who really wants to see improvements in every area of my life. Caitlin has given me knowledge about nutrition, supplements, and eating healthy that I will follow for the rest of my life. Instead of saying eat this or that, she takes the time to explain why one is better than the other. Caitlin really makes you feel like she is invested in your well being, and she has completely changed my attitude on diet an exercise. I highly recommend Caitlin as both a trainer and nutrition coach! She will change your life for the better!

Not much to say that hasn't been said...but that won't stop me. Aside from Caitlin's expertise in training and nutrition, she is a great motivator who genuinely cares about her client's success. She checks in w/ me when I'm traveling. She sends emails on weekends. And even though I'm on hiatus w/ my training with her right now, she *still* checks in to see how I'm doing. She knows when to push and knows when pushing would make a bad day even worse -- but still doesn't let you off the hook...just figures out other ways to get you motivated. Caitlin is a terffic, skilled trainer who has helped me get serious about being healthier. Her knowledge and her instincts are a great combination, and I recommend her highly.

I love my sessions with Caitlin and she's such an inspiration! She's lost the weight herself and is successful keeping it off. I've been working out with Caitlin for about 14 months and she helped me to lose 22 lbs in the first 7 months. I'm psyched that I went from a size 14 to a 6! She's a wealth of information for nutrition, losing weight, fitness, and lifestyle changes. I show up ready to work out and she makes it fun and challenging! With Caitlin's help and support, I've lost 45 pounds in five months (averaging about 2 pounds/week) and brought my body fat percentage down from 42% to 26%! I couldn't have done this without Caitlin's gentle pushing and mentoring (and jokes). I've learned so much about nutrition through her and she is a great role model as someone who "walks the talk" when it comes to changing your life and becoming healthy and fit. I credit our partnership to adding years onto my life, whereas before, I'm pretty sure I was on my way to Strokedom and Heart Attack City. What surprised me on this journey is how much more I think about, plan for and LOVE food and Caitlin is willing to talk to me ad nauseum about cooking, recipes, nutritional tips, the science of food and the "perils" of going out to eat. She's got current information at her fingertips and forwards great websites to me. I highly recommend her.
