I have some friends that live near here and play here on occasion which is the only reason I found the place. I lived in the neighborhood a gazillion years ago and shopped at the King Soops frequently but never even saw the place. Well now anytime I'm at this end of Boulder and need a caffeine fix, this is my crack house of choice. Good coffee, the necessary pastries and such and served by hippie throwbacks, what else could you ask for?

Some of the best  coffee ever, though probably not my favorite location.  It's  one of the ugliest patios in Boulder.  I did love their old locations in Superior and Westminster, but those are no more.  I guess Noa Noa in Golden is owned by them too--I like the ambiance in Golden much better.

The best dive coffee shop in Boulder. This is where i discovered 3rd Street Chai (see other review) so I give them 1 extra star. Here you will not find your average Starbucks clientele. The place is owned by an ex-CU soccer player who has given haven to the areas vast rock climbing population, and I don't mean the gym rats. The place has a great atmosphere and a line out the door from 6:30 am - 9:30 am every morning. The staff is great and very easy to get to know. In a few days they will all know your name and what you drink. The furniture is looks like it is a hod podge of donated college dorm room leftovers, but functional. Half the place is generally used for conversation and the other half for folks with computers. They have live music 1 or 2 times a week, and they line the walls with local artist paintings. If I had one problem with this place, it is the migration of flies the infest each summer, that no one seems to care about.

The absolute BEST time to go there....When you have to hike there after 1-2 feet of snow has fallen...big crowd getting warm with their joe!
