Top restaurant on Google campus I must say.  I would say it's always a hit with this place.  Breakfast or lunch, and if they had a dinner it would be a hit too.  The staff is always friendly as well.

This place likes to do cultural foods, so different week different theme.

They also have a great salad and sandwich bar if you don't want anything too fancy.

Cafe Moma is the "comfort food" cafe on the Google campus and in here, I find comfort in a consistently good menu. That's why I've been almost exclusively hitting up this cafe when noon rolls around. The pizza is always good - the other day I had 5 slices of pepperoni on top of my normal lunch. Google 15? Try 20, bitch!

But the pizza isn't even the best part. They have homemade ice cream served in individual cups that are the perfect size - not too much, not too little. My only complaint is that you can't get it all day!

Cafe Moma is regarded as one of the better cafes at Google, but I have to say I wasn't impressed. I mean the food is good, but it's no Pinxto - my new favorite Spanish cafe one building to the south. There's a wall when you come in that's covered with the word "grandmother" in various languages. That seems like a better fit for a comfort food themed cafe like American Table. Moma should instead embrace its modern art name and go with that decor theme instead. Moma also has a pirate-themed hardware depot facing on the cafeteria seating.

I've been here several times for an entree or dessert here and there, but today I had a full meal. Here's what I got:

Veggie Pizza - We specifically ate here so I could try the vegetarian pizza the husband's been raving about all week. (Apparently, Moma makes one type of pizza each week.). This was warmer than most Google pizzas and the ingredients worked really nicely together. This was my favorite dish I tried.

Split Pea Mash - OK but too salty.

Stewed Eggplant - Pretty good with a tomato-y mixture of eggplant and chickpeas, but bordering on bland.

Chicken Breast with Mango Chutney - The chicken was bland and was only (slightly) redeemed by the mango chutney.

Blackberry Bread Pudding with Lemon Sauce - The bread pudding had good berry flavor but was disappointing dry so the lemon sauce was necessary (but didn't help enough).

The husband is a big fan of the salad bar (not all that different from other Google salad bars) and the salads are tossed to order. They can include tofu, blueberries, and strawberries depending on the day.

Moma also has pretzel bread and jars of cookies in the silverware/napkin area which can be nice if you drop by after hours.

    My Google Restaurant Rankings:
    1) Pinxto
    2) No Name Cafe
    3) Hemispheres (New York)
    4) Pure Ingredients Cafe
    5) Andale
    6) Slice
    7) Oasis
    8) CAFE MOMA
    9) Charlie's
    10) Fourteen
    11) Lunch Box

I'd heard a rumor that all the Google cafs had been reviewed, but apparently yelp is missing some. By far one of my favorite cafe's on the Google campus, Moma serves up "comfort food." While many of the cafes can sometimes get caught up in serving unusual dishes that may not be appealing to you depending on the day, Cafe Moma can always be counted on for something appealing. The only thing that stops me from eating here every day is, well, I have to cross a street.

3 great things about Cafe Moma:
    1) Steamed veggies on the menu every day.
    2) Amazing deserts. I had my most recent foodgasm here on a chocolate cake they made. I told my trainer it was worth every last calorie, and it was.
    3) Meat loaf mondays. Okay, it sounds bad when you hear that, but trust me it's a good thing.

Please don't shoot me: I don't like Cafe Moma. Before I explain why, let me just say that I'm judging this cafe against the other Google cafes on the Mountain View campus and I'm completely ignoring the fact that I never have to pay a cent to eat here.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of Cafe Moma, because it's always just too heavy. All the main entrees are super heavy, and while I don't do the whole Atkins thing, I'm not really on an all-carb diet either. I only go to Cafe Moma when I'm visiting co-workers in Building 44 or when I fall victim to peer pressure.

On any given day, I'd choose No Name/Charlie's/Pacific/Pinxto over Cafe Moma.

One of the best breakfast spots I have seen and that's outside Google as well. I mean Denny's and IHOP combined don't come close... sadly!

I love their pancakes, croissants, eggs, and potatoes. All hit the spot given I am always hungry in the morning.

After Charlies... I'd say this is my fav spot to eat at.
Again... the kitchen staff kicks ass!

    Thanks guys!
