get away from the city rush at this charming little gem of a cafe!
for the morning hour, you will find an excellent variety of naughty and nice via fresh pastries OR the best gluten free muffins around.   check out the feta spinach quiche or a toasted breakfast burrito for a bigger bite.

afternoon delights include salads, vegan chilli, a variety of gourmet sandwiches, or my favorite, the chicken curry wrap (toasted please).

mimosa has a wide variety of milks  (YAY) to compliment whichever coffee or tea you crave.
all of this AND the fun of boutique shopping while you eat.
    great ambiance... full of love!!

THE BEST COFFEE SHOP IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY - HANDS DOWN.

Wanna know why? Okay. The best coffee beans around, as good as any gourmet place like those fancy Silverlake and Venice and Beverly Hills places, but at reasonable prices. Cheaper than most. Also, the baked goods are beyond heaven - so far beyond they're in another dimension. The cinnamon rolls are even better the ones we used to get from the Amish farms outside of Miami and there's a selection of baked goods for everyone, vegans included and everything is made fresh daily by locals. The vegan oatmeal raisin muffins are like fresh oatmeal in a muffin - moist, delicious, amazing. They've also got great wraps and delicious breakfast burritos. You can enjoy your morning or afternoon in idyllic Topanga, get some fresh air, look at the mountains and enjoy yourself immensely. Even get some work done.

And... PIRATE CHAI. You have to try it.

I hesitated to write anything until now because I don't want Mimosa to be overcome with people, because I like it the way it is, but they deserve all the stars. So there you have it. Just don't tell tooooo many people, but if you're a coffee shop connoisseur, you'll have to try it at least once - or anytime you have to drive through Topanga - which I also wish people weren't allowed to do unless you live here... but until UTOPIA arrives, have yourself a great time at Mimosa ;-).

Adorable. Such a fun stop if you are driving through Topanga. We stop here for coffee before or after we go on a hike - and I always want to just stay and look around and sit for awhile. It's a bit "girly" but my boyfriend still thinks its fun - I would call it "eclectic" before I call it girly :)

    Coffee is a 7 out of 10.

I LOVE this little local hangout!  Super adorable shabby chic feel, cute boutique-y things for sale,  plus they have hemp milk!!
Also a great variety of GF and/or vegan muffins available.  The ONLY reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because its small and sometimes there are no places to sit.

the veggie chili here is SO good that the boyfriend and I would specifically plan hiking trips to Topanga State Park JUST so we could stop here after and grub. The other soups and coffees are good too but the homemade veggie chili was seriously to die for. I wish they would share the recipe because I"ve since moved out of state and miss it!

Only ordered the chai latte which was lovely drink in a lovely quaint cafe. The place does get quite crowded with the bohemian Topanga crowd. However, everyone does seem friendly enough and willing to share their table. Free wifi.

Can't wait to return upon my next visit to the area.

This place is like Topanga Hippie Central.   Add a few business people on their way to work, add some bike riders and then add random Topanga surfer/musician dudes and you get the idea.

So with this crazy ecclectic crowd in Topanga, these relaxed people at the counter (also, seemingly, Topanga hippies) have to deal with just about every coffee special needs non-fat no-gluten no-animal no-whatever is the no-of the moment thing and they do with a natural, no worries approach.  I am fairly relaxed, but not sure if I could handle making sure the nuts in the walnut raison muffins weren't processed in a factory that has gluten free employees, you get the idea.

So, relaxed people serving extremely good and healthy coffee foods with piping hot coffee in comfy chairs and comfortable surroundings.   Really, coffee houses don't get much more nice to visit and get away from the rat race.

Cute, hippie-dippy, crunchy granola, laid back cafe, tucked away in the hilly  side of a windy Topanga Canyon Blvd.
I fully expect to see some earthy celebrity to be working on a laptop sitting under a shady tree....
It's really pretty, tiny, with charm -- the baked goods are really delectable. I had a raisin, whole grain, scone and a cup of hot cocoa.

Nice place to hang out with good mix of foliage, sunshine, shade, pretty decoration, warm, home style, friendly service. Many artist-y, writer, types busily, seriously and intently fingering away on their laptops. Has a kind of hushed, but social atmosphere.

I might just drive out here once in a while for a mini crunchy-hip highland getaway... ;)

Cafe Mimosa is a quaint coffeehouse with a French flair.  It's nestled deep inside Topanga Canyon and is beautifully decorated.  It offers your typical coffee drinks and teas.  Mimosa also offers home made quiches and a wonderful menu of delicious sandwiches.  There are numerous already-made salads there as well.  The cafe is also a boutique, offering many unique gift items as well as some vintage French imports.

What I liked best about Mimosa is that it's a place to relax.  There are front and back patios where people can sip their drinks and enjoy some quiet time.

What I didn't like too much was the cafe latte I ordered.  It tasted more like hot milk than coffee :(.

If you want to find a place to relax and enjoy the fresh air, this is the place!

Tiny French healthy cafe on Topanga that is a delightful pit stop on the way to the beach. The organic baked goods are tasty treats. They have Vegan and gluten free options, of course! The Salmon Salad is huge and only like 8 bucks! I love the Spinach Quiche! You can have the most marvelous lunch for under $10!  Diverse Hipsters are camped out in there with laptops or literature. It's a local hangout that is comfortable and charming. Also has a little patio. Sometimes i just stop by and pick up a muffin and chai latte to nibble by the shore. It's always a pleasant experience. The only bummer is they close at 2 pm. I've often been distracted shopping at Topanga Homegrown or Hidden Treasures right up the street and missed getting in there!

Cute and everything about this quaint little place exudes French country appeal. What's most attractive here are the local Topangan's. They are a whole different breed of people. Very friendly and lax. Love the atmosphere here!

Cafe Mimosa is our go to place to stop for coffee while on our way down to the West Side. We live in Topanga, and it's by far the quickest and best cup of coffee in the canyon. Coffee is self serve, and there are always friendly people in the shop. They have unique gifts and treats, and the owner and people who work there are super friendly.

You have to remember that  in Topanga, conversation is valued over rushing, so sometimes it takes a few minutes to pay for your coffee, but Cafe Mimosa is very good at finding a happy balance.

I've also had their oatmeal, and it was delicious.
