Review from Arielle S.
Manhattan, NY
I have found where all the young business professionals come to eat lunch in downtown Brooklyn!
Very nice environment, I only wish I ever got here early enough to get an outside table. This place is always extremely crowded but the lines do go quickly.
Came yesterday and got a salad where you get to pick what ingredients you want added to it. You pick a bowl of lettuce and then you get to fill it with a choice of ingredients from columns (1 from list A, 2 from list B, and unlimited from list C). My gripe. I wanted like 5 from list B and nothing from List C.
It was OK but not sure i would really come back again. really overpriced for just a lunch salad. -

Good food?.. But I hate how the managers and the company slaves their employees...

I come here for my salads. The people here are awesome. They remember me and always start up a conversation. The salad bar is wonderful. A lot of fresh choices. Fun desserts too. I think it is a little pricy and in fact had to cut down after looking at my monthly expenses. To give you an idea coffee and salad would cost me close to 15 dollars.

Can I just tell you how warm and friendly the employees here are? They're crazy busy and always make me feel remembered and welcome. Great job, Cafe Metro!!

Review from Clyde N.
Prices are a bit high, but the soups and sandwiches are pretty good.
Why does eating healthy have to be so expensive? :-( -

Food was great, convenience is awesome (right beside my building) and quick service.
Can't ask for much more. -

Cafe Ripoff isn't that bad.
The area needs a couple more cafes so this is as good as it gets right now.
The food is okay but the prices are insanely too high. I suggest you keep an eye on your receipts because prices tend to fluctuate from day to day.

This place has so-so sandwiches priced at a slight premium. It's a safe bet for the Metrotech area which severely lacks good dining establishments.

Holy dollar signs batman this place is outrageously OVERPRICED. Popped in here for a healthy lunch while at jury duty today. I expected to spend about $8 for food and was a tad shocked when the cashier handed me 50 cents back from my $10 bill. Eeps!
1/2 a sandwich, soup and a water should not cost $9.50, especially in Brooklyn. I get that Metro Tech Center is all "fancy smancy" and such but my goodness we're still in a recession!
3 stars for the food, 2 stars for the price and chaotic disorganized lines. Why is eating well so expensive? -

When in a pinch Cafe Metro is the place to go.
This is a chain of "delis" around town so nothing too special. I have been here a couple of times only because I did not or could not think of any other place.
Since there sandwiches are prepared for the most part I would recommend that you ask them to heat even some of the "cold" sandwiches because I know of instances were the sandwiches develop ice qualities.
It is Ok.
Decor wise; the bar seating around the windows is nice to watch the bustling people of MetroTech. -

I was eating my bagel here when I felt something tickle my arm and I instinctively swatted in that area. It was a cockroach. I left my bagel, and walked out. It says something about how brazen their roaches are to even emerge during the day. Needless to say I'll never eat here again.

$4.40 for bacon egg &cheese! For that price I'm expecting a real good sandwhich. It wasnt that good and to top it off the cooks are rude. I would definately skip this place.

The food is nothing special - but especially over priced
My soup was salty
My sandwich was frozen
Had no place to sit inside so took it to go.
The lines always seem long for some reason - even though i never went during lunch time.
If you just a bite of food to go then this is the place. -

SCAM! The signs at the door as well as the counter says with any breakfast special you can get a small coffee for $0.85. However, I was charged $1.49. When I asked the cashier, she said "we no longer have that" and refused refund. The signs are still there!!! SCAM!!!

I love this place! The build-your-own salad is great and fresh. The paninis are excellent and the coffee is delicious. There are plenty of options for customers who are dieting. Only problems: this place is MAJORLY expensive for deli style food and seating is hard. If you can find somewhere to sit outside you're very lucky.
Overall, I like this place a lot and walk there regularly (even though it isn't very close to my office). -

A cute littler Deli that is practical for students at Polytechnic. It's a bit over-priced for a Deli, but the food is good. The outdoor seating is nice, and it's a nice way to spend some time.
