Excellent place to eat. I have eaten here many times over the past few years and have enjoyed everything I have ordered.

Cafe Med is my kind of cute little place.
They have more gyro sandwiches under one roof than any other mediterranean places I have ever been to. I like how they play with different vegetable combinations. Last time I chose the Yanni Gyro which has gyro meat, baba ganoush& tabbouleh salad, after peeling my eyes away from the Trojan Gyro (with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, purple onions & marinated artichoke hearts), just to name one.
Not a fan for gyro meat? Try their grilled pita sandwiches, which feature your usual deli meats stuffed inside the pita pocket instead of between two slices of bread. I like the less bread/more filling looks, not to mention the nice grill marks.
Not a fan for pita bread? They have panini with focaccia bread.
Their baklava is a little denser than what I am used to. I like my baklava a bit airier and fluffier, but I like theirs for not being cloyingly sweet or skimpy on pistachios.
Service is always wonderful.
They lost one star to me for having one of the worst hummus I've ever had. How this fine establishment could underdeliver such a simple thing is beyond me. -

A friend told me about this place the other day. I love Mediterranean food and have no idea ho wI missed it up to now.
I just got a Gyro to go on my way into work. Huge portion and tasted excellent.
I will be back to try more without a doubt. -

My favorite Mediterranean food in Memphis!!! I now live in Nashville and the places there pale in comparison. Super friendly folks, and the food is made quickly! You also get a generous serving of food. I'll be visiting there tomorrow!!

A complete jewel of a find! We had driven past here many times and one day said hey why not we'll give it a try. The place is classy yet casual. The food very very good. The staff is efficient, not all over you like some places, it is a family owned place which I am all for supporting "the little guy" where I can. We frequent this place in the late afternoons/evenings it is not croweded and we get great food every time.

Great gyros. I completely agree with others about the hummus! If you really want to experience some unique gyro combinations check them out.
Goof food at a fair price. -

Superb little gem tucked into a rather nondescript shopping area.
Normally, I shy away from paninis because the amount of meat/fillings that you get seems to be disproportionately small compared to other sandwiches. Not at Cafe Med; these paninis were enormous and even came with a bit of pasta salad. From the looks of the gyros being delivered to the other tables, those were equally large and loaded up with meat. This place doesn't skimp on portion size!
When we asked if they could combine a couple of dips, they helpfully offered a $11.95 sampler with 3 separate dips and tons of fresh pita bread, both steamed and baked. The dips were flavorful and varied, from eggplant to spicy hummus to some interesting feta-influenced dip that was quite spicy.
It was the middle of the lunch rush so it was completely packed, but they were quite willing to work with us and took our orders while quickly clearing off the first table that left. Lots of variety on the menu too with plenty of interesting combinations.
Quite reasonably priced too. What more could you ask? -

I haven't been to Med in several months, however this place has pretty great soups ... I'm a fan.
The soups never taste exactly the same because they are made from scratch (or that is what I am told each time :-p haha).
Sandwiches are not bad - I mostly stick to soups and sometimes pita bread and hummus.
But the truth of the matter is - The sole reason I go to this place - the Baklava.
If they only served their Baklava this would be a 5 star review!
They soak each layer of thin pastry in honey butter - yes you heard me layers and layers of honey butter soaked pastry . . . I think I just drooled . . .
it is decadent - horribly bad for you . . . and utterly Divine!
You must try it.
And just think if you stick only to a bowl of soup which is relatively healthy for you - that leaves all those calories out there just ready to be consumed solely by the honey butter soaked devil himself - Baklava.
YUM! :-) -

A little inconspicuous, Cafe Med specializes (as its name indicates) in Mediterranean cuisine, with a strong emphasis on gyros (the menu lists more than a dozen variations). My favorite offering is the falafel pita sandwich--fairly light and full of flavor. Babaghanouj and hummus are also very tasty. Great spot for a better than average lunch!

We were looking for a non-chain restaurant near our hotel and Cafe Med looked cute, clean and like it had some healthy offerings. We were more than satisfied with our selection. A party of three, we had the Yanni Gyro, the Tuscan Deluxe Hero, and the Deluxe Turkey Hero. All were fresh, tasty and served by a super-friendly server! The restaurant also has wireless internet for those interested in lingering while catching up on email and such. If I lived here I'd make it a regular place to visit.

What a great place. The feta and olive dip is fabulous! The baklava is delicious- not too sweet. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. I didn't care for my falafel, but I will definitely go back!

Cafe Med is a sandwich restaurant that does some Greek dishes. I had the olympian gyros sandwich yesterday and the chix salad today. I like the food here, it is fresh and simple. Service is good and very helpful. Babaghanouj and hummus are very tasty, especially with big garlic pieces. Great lunch spot, reasonable prices, lot of parking options. The gyros is a bit too salty for my taste, if they were to used real chix instead of the processed chix bologna, the salad would be perfect and I would give this restaurant a five star!

Discovered Cafe Med accidentally one day and I'm impressed. Great gyros and salads. I've only tried the soups one time -- lentil. It was delicious. For a very reasonable price, you are served generous portions -- the gyro sub sandwich is bigger than my abnormally large head, for $6. Everything is always fresh. This has become a popular lunch spot for the businesses surrounding it, so service can be a bit slow during the day.

Great Mediterranean food for a quick lunch or relaxed dinner. Simple cafe feel, but good variety and tasty meals. Also includes wi-fi, making it a convenient mid-workday stop. Best for couples or small groups due to small capacity.

This place is a small locally owned business. My wife and I just love their vegetarian paninis and they have a lot of options. My friends who eat meat , told us that their gyros are excellent! The service is also very friendly and efficient.
