I believe this restaurant is now called "Scrambler Marie's" due to a merger, but in any event, I ate here twice this past weekend.
My requirements for a delicious breakfast dining experience:
--Oncoming stream of hot coffee (CHECK!)
--Friendly service (CHECK!)
--Wide variety of brunch items (CHECK!)
--Quick service (CHECK!)
This place was terrific. We took my boyfriend's mom here for Mothers' Day. My boyfriend and I had been the day before and asked if they were accepting reservations. They said no, but to call before we left and they'd put our name on the list. We did so, and when we arrived on the following very rainy morning, we breezed past all the waiting people and were seated immediately! Very very nice.
I had the Flagship skillet (eggs, tomatoes, onions, bacon over potato chunks) and then had the Eye Opener (eggs scrambled with bacon, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and lots of cheese). Both were delicious, hot and wonderful.
Oh, and the kicker? The carafe of coffee and one of water they leave at your table. Makes the dining experience just wonderful! And our server was so very sweet and accommodating, even when I, true to form, dumped coffee all over my lap and the table (I'm not graceful.)
If you're ever in the Toledo-area, I recommend this place!
TASTY!!! Kinda pricey for breakfast food. I recommend the Uncle Mooses Manhandler. The coffee is pretty good too.
With all the people and the wait that they have here, you would think that this was the best breakfast available in town. But I was greet with plain, partially raw scrambled eggs. There isn't anything that you couldn't do at home. Just take five minutes out of your mornign. I guess this place is pocket book friendly. But I rather have the Deluxe at McDonald's or go to Cracker Barrel down the street.
