When I was staying with my friend in Green Lake, I went to Cafe Maree every morning to get my morning coffee fix. The coffee was excellent, and the service was friendly, and it seemed like a pleasant place to hang around and use internet (although I never did).
If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd totally hang out there. -

So this is a great coffee shop if you want to get some real work done. It's not what I'd call a typical Seattle coffee shop, as it doesn't have that hipster thing going, but its nice nonetheless. The coffee is better than average, which implies that its better than Peet's coffee which is half a block a way. The shop caters to parents and kids, which means its deserted during the week. It appears that this building used to be an old warehouse, so it can get cold in there. Word of advice, if you hate musak, bring your own music to listen to. Also, given the children friendly nature of the place, there may be one or two kids screaming....thus its always a good idea to have your iPod handy.
For Wi-Fi connect to the "Cafe Maree" access point. It is usually super quick as there aren't many people in there using the net. I've spent many an afternoon using this internet connection. -

The staff working here are excessively nice. The owner dropped out of the software industry to start his own cute little coffeshop. While the outside looks quite humble, inside it's much nicer than you'd expect. Their coffee is good (4/5) but the staff is so nice that it gets a 5. It's so friendly and warm when you walk in. The music is really terribly awful, but I don't mind so much. It's open early and closes early. The pastries are bad :( Ask the owner anything about coffee or coffee accessories and he will tell you ALL you need to know!

I love the coffee here and the wireless is excellent. They don't stay open past 6pm, that's my only complaint. I've seen the place packed, so go check out this place so they can stay open!
