Cafe Joelle can be called cozy, but it is just plain small. I was lucky to go there when there was not to many tables, but you could see how this place can get "cozy". Why this place is listed as french is beyond me. More Italian than french. Started off with baked clams, they were awesome. The clams were chopped and cooked perfectly with bell peppers setting the tone for the clam.
Next up for me was the meat ragu with rigatoni. Basically just rigatoni in a marinara sauce with sweet sausage and meatballs. The rigatoni and sauce were good, the sausage was really good, but the meatballs were lacking. It was missing garlic and pepper or some kind of spice.
For dessert the fried ice cream. Was this awesome. Covered in honey and choclate this is how fried ice cream should taste. A solid 4 stars. -

Always a Warm welcome, world class service and food that definitely has the wow factor. Since we dine here all the time, some Must haves: the creamy raspberry dressing, the spinach and goat cheese rigatoni (a 10!) chicken Jules and cappuccino is always terrific. Monday and Tuesday's are pasta night, and the owner is usually hangin by the bar with great conversation!! We LOVE this place!

We went here after looking for something new on yelp, and we were excited because of all the glowing reviews. This place was a huge disappointment.
The menu was confusing. There is pretty much nothing French about it. It looks like your standard Long Island "Italian" menu. Most of the dishes were Italian pasta-based entrees.
The steak was dry and overcooked, and so was the salmon.
The dessert (a lemoncello, marscapone cake) was decent.
The service was mediocre.
I wanted to give this place 1 star but I went with 2 because it could have been worse (but not by much). I will not be back here. -

Delicious food, affordable food, cozy place. I came here for my mom's birthday with the rest of the fam and my sister's boyfriend. Great service, wine list is a little small but we still found a nice bottle of pinot noir. And they even offered a decanter ;) we all had a very pleasant experience. Come for pasta night! The portions are large and each pasta dish is less than 15 bucks =D

Returned on May 17th, 09 and was more impressed than our first visit.
Breakfast burrito and quiche plates were to die for. The tortilla was homemade, with dill inside. The contents of the burrito were eggs, cheese, bacon, ham, peppers, onions and red skinned potato hash browns. The top of the burrito had just the right amount of salsa. Everything combined led to a light spring meal.
The quiche has ham, broccolini, cheese and a fantastic pie crust, served with nicely browned red skinned potatoes. YUM. Total bill with, including 2 coffees and tip was $32. Service was very good. Attentive and yet invisible.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I come to Cafe Joelle whenever I come to town for work. The food is good and the atmosphere is comfortable. The one point of excellence for me has been the service. The staff has always been accommodating to a variety of time and arrival obstacles with my co-workers. Probably some of the best service I have experienced and it definitely does not go unnoticed.

i came here for a reunion lunch with my high school friends, very cute place, good for groups. since it was a reunion, we stayed for 3 hours, and they were very accomodating! they didn't feel like we were overstaying our welcome and kept replenishing our drinks.
the food is also very good, and decently priced.
