I've been looking for a Korean shaved ice place in my neighborhood forever.  Specifically Korean style - like the pot bingsu, with out the pot (red beans).  I still can't do the red bean thing, even though I've grown up with it.  I don't know - I guess I just personally think it's weird.  But I digress....

My dad and I dropped in here on my request - after having some Nengmyun next door at Ham Hung Nengmyun.  I wanted to really have shaved ice on this crazy hot day in the valley.  This came up on my trusty Yelp app as being basically right next door.  Sure - why don't we try.

Unfortunately - even though we were talking in Korean to the dude in the store, he clearly didn't hear us say - we want one of the fruit shaved ice and the redbean shaved ice - both small size.

we instead got a full size fruit shaved ice.  Good thing that's how it came out - I'm not too sure how my dad and I would have finished our small ones when we could barely finish the regular size one between the two of us.  In the end it worked out.

There were some canned pineapple and peaches with fresh bananas, strawberries and kiwi mixed in with a scoop of strawberry ice cream and sweet milk with little bits of mochi sprinkle about.  Total YUM.  This was exactly what I was looking for and it reminded me of a lot of the pot (red bean) bingsu (shaved ice) that I actually had at this cafe that my uncle took my family to while we were in Seoul.

For shaved ice - I know what you are going to say - 7 bucks? are you out of your mind?  But when you think about what is actually on this glorious bowl of shaved ice yumminess, 7 bucks is a steal.

I'll definitely be back throughout the summer.

Their parfait's are quite tasty and refreshing, especially on a hot day. Their crepes, although there are not much to choose from, are light and filling. I had their Tuna Crepe and I loved it.

    Prices: affordable

Environment and Ambiance: relaxing and a good place to study.

Note to self: I need to try their desserts :)

I want to give Cafe Haus a 3.5 but since I cannot, I will go with 3. They have the best tasting milk tea. The first time I tried it, I was not used to the taste so I thought it tasted a little weird. But after a few sips, I was addicted. I could not stop putting the cup down. When I got to the bottom of the cup, I found myself making slurping sounds. With that being said, it is a little pricey. Between $4-5 for a large with boba. I give the milk tea a 4. 5 if it wasn't for the price. The rest of the menu is okay tasting, nothing special. The place is clean but the location is a little obscure. It's in the middle of a plaza that does not get much traffic.

Great atmosphere. Friendly employees. Comfy seats.

My first time here, I ordered a Thai iced tea with boba and the Sweet Apple Crepe. I am quite disappointed. Crepe was not crispy. Presentation was nice though. Something simple such as the Thai Iced tea was messed up (it's much different than what I have tasted before. After a few more sips, I realized it tasted like they added creamer to it... gross).

Sigh. I feel bad for leaving this review because I have a soft spot for small businesses, but boy-o-boy, what a bummer tonight.

Tried the green tea shaved ice...ice was half snow, half ice, half large chunks. Flavor-wise, the green tea was not too bad, but the flavor tended to drip to the bottom (ice melted super fast) and left the top flavorless. Red bean and other goodies (kiwi, strawberry, banana) were good, but you really can't go wrong with those unless its a 1 star restaurant. The green tea mochi were a delight....never really tried those before. Soft, sweet, and just a hint of green tea...yum! The green tea ice cream was very fragrant and yummy as well.

Overall, not bad, but I'd rather go class 302 for shaved snow if I'm in the area. Stick with the waffles here (I haven't tried it, but hey, it's probably better than the shaved ice).

Cute little tea/coffee and dessert place with friendly and quick services. Place wasn't packed but they did have some reserved signs on some tables.

Mocha shaved ice (4/5) refreshing and surprisingly not that sweet which was good hence the fact it was loaded with syrup, topping, and ice cream. Portion was good for the price though I wish they would of gave a bigger serving of ice cream they then ice which melted a lot faster then other places.

Small waffle with strawberries: I can't really rate this as I didn't try it but my friend said it was really good and the portion was just right.

Overall 4/5. I would return to try their other items when I'm in the area.

I first found out about this place through my friend that literally lives down the street from it. she kept telling me to try The Duet, a mixture of milk tea and coffee. I wasn't  impressed since I've had the HK style ones so i didn't think i was missing much. When i finally decided to order it one day, well was i wrong. The Duet is quite delicious, I'm not sure what tea and coffee use, but it's sweet and unique. I've never had anything like that before, it is now my go-to drink.

They serve coffee bean coffee, and their green tea latte is pretty tasty. They also serve sweet potato smoothie, yeah i know it sounds weird, but it's good, sweet and
The banana/strawberry waffles are a sweet treat and not that pricy. I still wanna try their chicken salad crepe :)

I love the lighting at night at this place and the service is good too. It seems family owned, and the manager always seems to be there to take my order. My stamp card has already been filled once :) the tables are always clean and they have a outside section decked out with comfy cushions chairs and a heater for the winter time.

if you wanna use your credit/debit, i believe it's a $5.00 minimum charge.

cafe haus is like one of those korean cafes in k-town. great thing for me is that it's never crowded. probably not a good thing for the owner lol. anyways, i think i've been here a handful of times and i usually only see like one or two groups of people here. maybe it's the times i go, but i never have a problem finding seats.

first off, their drinks are HELLA overpriced, but for korean coffee shops you are paying for the ambiance. they state on their menu that they serve coffee bean & tea leaf drinks. okay... i used to have a coffee bean & tea leaf next to my business before they went out of business, but anyways i think cafe haus skimps on flavor. i used to get coffee bean everyday so i know what it's supposed to taste like, but this place is obviously not following their recipe. it's not flavorful at all. for the price i'm paying i want some good coffee.

originally i wanted to give this place 2 stars but their decor bumped it up to three stars and their waffles bumped it up to 4 stars.

their waffles... thinking about it makes my mouth water. it's SOOOO good. belgian waffles that they make on the spot with fresh fruit, chocolate drizzle, whip cream, and ice cream is like heaven in your mouth.

I just discovered this place not too long ago - and am not sure if that is good or bad.
Only because you will keep wanting to go back for their crepes/waffles.
I often come here for dessert after dinner. A coffee and dessert crepe in a comfortable atmosphere could be a good way to end a night.

I really wanted to make this my go to coffee place, especially because they serve coffee bean products at or around the same price point as coffee bean. I don't think they have almond or soy options because it was difficult to convey exactly what I wanted because of a language barrier. There are  not very many tea choices, bummer. They didn't know what a vanilla chai latte was but the Batista concocted her own version and it was delicious. I've also had the sweet potato latte, too powdery for my taste. The atmosphere is nice mostly Korean. The severs speak little English but can communicate better than many other Asian owned places. Haven't tried the desserts pretty stuff usually doesnt taste good.

Cafe Haus wavers between dessert house and asian coffee shop. It's got the clean, ultra-modern, curvy designs albeit no cute characters to be found. The coffee is delicious and the owner is very nice. There are no AZN thugs crouched outside spitting, and everyone in here seems to be studying quietly or engaged in mellow conversation.

I would come back if I was in the area as a good coffee shop to get some work done, or some place to choose on the fly if you're standing around in a group busy being noncommittal.

My 626 instincts almost got the better of me as I left and I was tempted to light a cigarette and lounge on in empty parking spaces, but my maturity got the better of me. Plus I'm healthy now and the only proper time for a cigarette is after a romp with HM.

Ehh, the waffle isn't as good as the pictures advertise!  The waffle is very thick and chewy, slightly on the dry side.  The nutella spread and fruit on top was good, but the ice cream was terrible.  The ice cream was hard and not creamy.   I also ordered a green tea latte, it was very watery and didn't have enough matcha; It just tasted like milk with a hint of green tea.  The desserts on display looked good, but I can't recommend the waffle.  Maybe the crepes will turn out better.  Needless to say, I think Syrup Desserts in Downtown has spoiled me...they make the best dessert waffles I have ever had!  Nothing compares to the waffles at Syrup, but maybe Café Haus is the best around the diamond bar area.

I came here with my little sister and a friend and when we walked in we were just standing there awkwardly waiting for someone to come seat us. After we were seated i looked around the cafe to notice it's cute, sleek, and modern design. It was a very hip spot for people to come get dessert, but it isn't a good area to sit and study because they didn't have many seats.

We ordered the Green tea parfait, 2 Fruit Parfait, The Duo, and Cafe Haus Waffle. The waffle was 6.95, but if you get it with the Cafe Haus combo and get a coffee, milk tea, or tea then it'll be 8.45 which is a good deal because the drink itself was already 3.50! but the parfaits were each 4.95 which wasn't too bad for what we got.

The Duo was definitely strong! it was a mix of milk tea and coffee and from the first sip it was a kick in the mouth! It's not my cup of tea, but my friend enjoyed it though.

The fruit parfait was my favorite! It wasn't your typical fruit parfait with the fruit, yogurt and granola, but it was a icy fruity smoothie blended on the bottom, layered with strawberries, bananas, and kiwis, then its topped with whipped cream, corn flakes, a scoop of strawberry ice cream and sprinkled with fruity pebbles! How's that for a fruit parfait? This would be perfect for a hot day out because its very refreshing and healthy as well! (:

The Cafe Haus Waffle was yummy as well! it had nutella, strawberries, banana and kiwi laid out artistically and it had a scoop of strawberry ice cream in the middle with whipped cream! it was light, fluffy and buttery so yummy!

Our bill came out to be around $25 which is fair because we were satisfied with their generous amount!

The only thing that made me take off 2 stars was:

    1) After our order we asked for a round of Waters, BUT it never ever came out.

    2) When we ordered our 2nd fruit parfait it took about 30 minutes for it to come out, REALLY?!

Other than that, i would come back for their fruit parfait its so yummy! (:

Came here yesterday with my sister on a whim. Saw the reviews on yelp and we were pretty excited to have something sweet, but kind of disappointed that there were not enough savory choices to have as a pre-sweet snack.

We walked into the store and awkwardly stood there for a second wondering what to do. There was only one person working at the store at the time, it was about 1 o'clock on a Thursday, and it was pretty packed with customers. So after we ordered and sat down, we waited patiently for about 15 minutes for our cafe haus waffle to arrive. A little too long just for a waffle. They really should have at least 2 people working at all times...

So the waffle kind of sucked. It really isn't that special. I can tell that the waffle wasn't freshly made. I saw the microwave right behind the register and saw him using it, so makes me believe we got a pre-made waffle. So, in addition to not have a freshly made waffle, we got way too much nutella unevenly spread onto the waffle, and a strange looking flavorless pink ice cream.

Just not worth it. If you ask me, go to one of the many other cafe's in the area. You'll get better service and better food.

Oh, and another thing. I picked up one of their fliers and saw that there is a 50% discount on coffee from 12 to 5 on weekdays. I went to pay and the guy said it was no longer valid... and I showed him that there is no expiration date and he still said no.

So, Cafe Haus, even though I know you want to save money by using old fliers, you really should at least "X" out any coupon you don't want people to use.

I've recently come to the realization that despite being a college town, Fullerton kinda sucks when it comes to college food and college places to study.  I found out about this little gem while searching for cafes to study in on yelp and I found it to be a pleasant experience.

    SERVICE AND SETTING

The cafe is clean, new, and features a lot of bright decoration.  It has some outdoor patio-style seating outside which I found to be rather cozy despite being in the middle of a Korean shopping center.  The restrooms is very clean.

English speakers are apparently not common on this street, but the servers here understood me quite well and I got my order without any problem.  I stayed here for several hours after only making one order and they had no problem for it.

If you don't like American pop music, bring headphones.  They play the top 40 station all day which in SoCal feels more like top 5.  The cafe is otherwise pretty quiet.

    FOOD AND VALUE

Milk coffee: Very sweet, but satisfying.  The coffee flavor was a little too drowned out for my personal taste.

Strawberry and Banana Waffle: It's served with a scoop of ice cream, chocolate glaze and what appeared to be Nutella.  They warned us that the waffle "isn't the big kind" but I don't see how someone could complain about the portion - it's very rich.  The fruits were very fresh and the waffle was cooked perfectly.  Recommended.

I forgot the exact pricing, but it's on the slightly above average end - this is expected as the setting is very nice and you are paying for that too.

    CONCLUSION

Cafe Haus is clean, friendly, and serves fresh and tasty desserts to complement its nice setting.  It is rare for me to want to drive 20 minutes just for a place to study, but I look forward to going back.

On the way to Big Bear, we stopped here for a small break. it was FREEZING cold outside and the place was pretty packed because it was friday night...but there was one table outside. But they had some of those patio heater things and those made the place more like a sauna. It was great. :)

so finally warm and cozy, I had the strawberry banana waffle (the small, which is just half, is just enough for a small snack)- it was stacked with strawberries and bananas with nutella spread underneath and whip cream and chocolate drizzled on top--it really hit the spot. a bit rich because of the nutella but i have nothing against sweetness...http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/T_X2qKx YVF36w10uR61xag?select=yK8WA1AUlx2GvFazPSv2QA

i mooched off my friends' stuff-
    - the cicken salad crepe-- sounds wierd but it was really good! basically a salad in  bread. kinda hard to eat it tho with stuff falling everywhere haha http://www.yelp.com/bi...
    - strawberry parfait- icecream, strawberries, fruity pebbles, and strawberry smoothie at the bottom. kiinda a wierd texture problem going on with the pebbles and the smoothie but i liked it! really refreshing and not too much of anything.
    - sweet apple crepe-- as the name says, it is sweet. it is basically an apple pie but run over by a car. really flat but pretty good! http://www.yelp.com/bi...
    - something like banana nutella crepe? had more filling than the sweet apple one and chocolatey mmmm :)

really great service, and you can stay as long as you want! there were also people of all different age ranges--at the table next to us, some middleaged men were discussing business...and of course the high schoolers, and some kids with their families. really nice place!

What a comfortable place to enjoy a beverage and sweet treat!

The friendly fellow who was working here asked if we were going to order to-go or stay there. Once we informed him we'd be doing the latter, he came out from behind the counter, seated us and gave us menus then came back in a few minutes to take our orders.

I had a Cafe Haus waffle and an iced Duet to drink. The Duet - a milk tea and coffee combo - was interestingly tasty. An ever so slightly sweet drink that allows both flavors to shine through. The waffle was really quite good. It was topped beautifully with kiwi, strawberries, and banana slices along with a heaping helping of nutella and whipped cream.  I thought the presentation was very nicely done - food art! It was quite filling too. There's something about a waffle that just makes a person happy.

I've tried the chicken salad crepe (yummy), strawberry parfait, the waffle, white chocolate mocha, and the boba milk tea. Everything tastes good. The owner is super nice and doesn't care about how long you stay! And the environment here is great, super peaceful and a great place to study. I stayed for over 3 hours here... because I had class in the morning and work at night... yea. Surprisingly, the owner did not show any sign of frustration. Great waffles and crepes! Though the crepes are a tad pricey, they are so delicious. Sometimes, they put a bit too much filling inside the crepe, but i'm not sure if that's a complaint or a compliment.
It really is a great place to study, hang out with friends or just sit and enjoy a coffee. The setting is calm, ambient lighting and clean.

12/15/11: I'm here live so I'm gonna do a step by step review:

So the overview on this place is that I've heard great things via Yelp but I've never had the chance to try this place out. I came once with my mom on an attempt for coffee time we didn't eat/drink here because my mom didn't see any cake she liked.

Well here I am w/ an old friend and so far I like the set up and design of this place. Cafe Haus is pretty much one of those coffee shops we all see in Korean dramas but hardly see sight of in the US, even in Asian communities. Luckily, Cafe Haus is that one place here in Diamond Bar.

12/17/11 EDIT: Okay, so I failed on the "live review". I loved the waffle I got...I'm usually not a fan of chocolate with any fruit, but the chocolate sauce atop the strawberry and banana slices was pretty good in mixing with the waffle. I wasn't too fond of the iced coffee though - I thought it'd be premixed for me, but no...so the coffee ended up tasting pretty bitter for me. I just can't manually mix coffee for my life, even if I keep a creamer/sugar ratio.

    Service is standard.

Anyways, I feel I actually might be back. I'm usually against any hipster/hot spot because I feel everything is overhyped these days (Half & Half, anyone?) but Cafe Haus proved me wrong. However, I'll likely only get the combos, which seem worth it to me. End of story though - I give this place a thumbs up.

Cute spot with a heat lamp for dining outside!

I got the Jasmine tea and it came in a tea press device. I also loved how there were games to play-one where you put swords in until the pirate pops out, there's connect four, playing cards, etc. Definitely good times!

I just wish NY had more cafes with games-one of the many great things so cal has so much of!

Probably 3.5 stars because of the price.

We ordered a duet (half milk tea/ coffee) ... price was $4.80 for a large hot cup....w/o tapioca balls. I was going to order the Job's Tears (a Korean tea) ... apparently it's good for women only. Asked the owner how it tasted and he said he never tried it cuz it's bad for men. O___________________o WAHHHH???? Duet was good -- very smooth w/ lots of tea flavor ... I only wished it weren't SOOO sweet.

We love the feel of this place .. and love that they  have games to play (I lost at Jenga!!! *sad face*). We'll probably be back to try out their waffles / crepes.
I dig the free wi-fi, super clean ambiance, and the light top 40's playing in the background.

Service was horrible- I don't know if it was because I was with a non-Korean friend, myself being Korean, but the waiters did not check up on us nor did they take our order within a timely manner. It is nice that they have valet, inside is cute but not too big. I would come again, but I would definitely pick another Ktown cafe over this.

This place actually only deserves 1 star but for the fact that the floors were clean for an Asian dessert cafe.
We got an order of the Cafe Haus waffle and Thai tea drink, what a disappointment. First our drink came out which was way too creamy/milky for my liking. When our dessert waffle came out, I was more excited to dive into the scoop of ice cream (since I've been craving for ice cream the whole day). The ice cream was a hard lump of strawberry ice cream which was bleh.  The biggest disappointment was how the waffle itself tasted like a frozen toasted waffle that's been sitting out for awhile.  I don't know if it was just the chef on hand, but he had a heavy hand when it came to the nutella which overpowered any of the satisfying fruits they neatly sliced and placed all around the waffle.

Overall experience wasn't what I was expecting, since our fellow YELPERS loves this place.

I'll stick with the American favorite waffle egos if I ever need to get my fix.

Cafe Haus is like having a nice K-town styled cafe nestled in Diamond Bar except you obviously trade in the busy hustle of K-town outside for quieter suburban surroundings.

Cafe Haus has a nice clean modern decor (slick wood furnishings, Ikea type lamps, interesting looking seats and all). There is wifi that requires a code and ample enough inside/outdoor seating. I've never had Coffee Shaved Ice before but I liked it. Like any Korean styled shaved ice, it came with kiwi, strawberries, and banana slices. I also got my favorite Coffee Milk Tea (iced) and I have to say, it had a bit more of a sweet coffee kick than most coffee milk teas I've had.

Business seemed a bit slow here but I think it's because we came during a weekend night. I think this is definitely another cool Diamond Bar hangout spot!

I have to say that their "Duet" which is a combination of milk tea and milk coffee is unique, delicious and out of this world!  Their milk tea is also very good here.  In my personal opinion, these two drinks are much better tasting than the milk teas offered at Half & Half Tea Express/House and other tea places I have tried in the past. Though, they don't offer the fancy add-on's such as pudding etc, it doesn't matter because the taste of the drink is what counts.

I first tried this place last week as it received many great reviews on Yelp and let me say, I was not disappointed.  My hubby and bff both enjoyed this place very much as did I.  I liked it so much, I brought my sister and her hubby here last night so they too can try the "Duet"  Like me, they immediately fell in love with it and said it was "the bomb!"  :)

As for desserts, their waffles are very good, crepes are decent.  Was a little disappointed that their dessert  crepes were not warm (as in hot off the pan).

Other than that, Cafe Haus offers a great menu of items to choose from as well as a nice, cozy, atmosphere that isn't loud and annoying like many Starbucks locations.  If hanging out inside isn't your thing, they also have an outdoor patio with comfy chairs and tables and of course heat lamps.

Cafe Haus is the "Syrup Desserts" of Walnut/Diamond Bar. Located on the corner of Golden Springs & Lemon, this little coffee-dessert shop is both chic and cute. Immediately after going in, I felt welcomed and right at home.

I went in to job hunt on my laptop so I expected to stay for more than 2 hours. The waiters were very attentive and got everything I needed without ever rushing me out. The place got a little busy too, I was really happy with that.

I ordered their Tropical Passion Iced Tea, I think the barista forgot to put the sweetener in my drink so I had to ask for it afterwards. - All good! They gave me a generous amount to pour in myself. I also got a small sized waffle, as it came with the combo. It was warm, chocolatey, fruity, and yummy! Their waffles are also served with a scoop of ice cream. Yum?!!

So overall, great service, great food, great drinks..which makes this place, a great cafe.  Five stars!

I had to do a double take and read the signage to see that Cafe Haus was also Coffee Bean.  This place reminded me so much of the cafes in Korea.  The heat lamps kept the clients sitting outside warm.  The ambiance would've been nicer without the freeway noise, but there's a give and take for living in a city.

The service was prompt, the waffles were tasty, and the clientele dressed in brand conscious attire. That evening, there was a group of men who congregated to talk business or golf and a few groups of young high school looking kids kicking it.  It was like I was sitting in trendy suburb of Seoul when really I was in Rowland Heights.

Environment: small yet comfortable and the interior is nicely done with an outside front patio.
Food & drinks: I recommend the strawberry smoothie but it's better to get your drinks made by the older man working there cause he makes them the best in my opinion.
    Service: satisfactory (:

Order: Duet, Chai Latte (hot), and Strawberry Waffle

Overview: the duet tasted like it had boba, but it didn't. that was what i liked, but the one thing i didn't like was that it was so sweet! it was when i first had a mcdonald's sweet tea, but i am hoping it is an acquired taste because even though the sweetness was overboard, it was good. i didn't try the chai latte, the boyfriend had that, he said he liked it. the strawberry waffle, oh my gosh, soo yummy! i loved the fact that it was smothered with nutella before all the whipped cream and fruit and ice cream went on it. the ice cream was perfectly hardened and cold so it didn't melt all over the place and make the waffle soggy, i was even able to cut it with a knife! also, waiter service was a nice touch. (:

Verdict: it was nothing special, it is quieter than other korean cafes would be. but that was probably cos i went in an hour before they closed. i would come again and next time, i can hopefully ask for the duet to be a tad less sweet.

I LOVE to come here to study when I need a change of environment!

They have free WiFi, so be sure to ask the waiter for the password. They also have comfortable chairs, coffee, and food! Service is quick, and the waiters are nice. I like that they stay opened late. There are outlets everywhere - for inside and outside seating.

Food and drinks are okay. If you crave something sweet, try their waffles. Their sweet potato latte is unique, and if you like sweet potato, try it!

Their milk tea tastes like something I haven't tasted before. The taste is so unique that you have to get another sip. I really liked their sweet apple crepe with a side of strawberry ice cream. I like how the chef presents the crepe and ice cream. He drizzles chocolate syrup on the ice cream and on the crepe. Their ice cream was really good. Their prices are cheap too. I ordered the combo which came with the milk tea. the service was good. this cafe has friendly workers. Overall, I'd come back and reccommend this cafe to friends and family. they also have board games while you wait for your food.

Such an unexpectedly cute place located right dab in the middle of a Korean strip mall!  The decor and layout of the cafe will keep your eyes busy 'till your food comes.  The combination of mosaic backsplashs, crown molding, and playful wall paper gives off a home-y vibe.  They also have an outdoor-ish area that is made up of two walls and several glass panels (where you will find the entrance to the tiny cafe).

Although the menu is short and concise, I feel like it is sufficient for what it is.  In short: The coffee is a little too strong.  The taro ice tea is superb.  The cafe haus waffles is yummy (nutella, ice cream, kiwi, strawberry, banana, and peach).  The crepes are just as delicious. The service is exceptional.  TWO THUMBS UP!

Okay, so the food can take quite awhile to get to you especially if you order the waffle; but it is soooo worth the wait!  Can I just say DEEEELISH!  If my waistline wouldn't punish me for it, I would eat here every day if I could! hah!  The reviews on this little Diamond Bar gem were definitely spot on... so I tip my hat to to all of you fine Yelpers! :)
