Rising amidst the bland of Tampa Bay is this wonderful bakery. You really feel like you are in a little bit of Paris but on the water... :) Delicious crepes and pastries.

super friendly staff, fantastic bread and good service - I am vegan so haven't tried the pastries but the were all gorgeous and look like what you'd expect.
Make sure to get some fresh bred hot out of the oven! -

So disappointed! We were excited to find a French cafe/bakery within walking distance of our condo and went there for breakfast this morning. Good things first: my friends liked their butter crepe, croissant and danish. My husband liked his nutella and banana crepe. The coffee is good. But my sugar crepe came out underdone, tasting rather like glue. When I sent it back, the cook came out and was, um, unhappy with me, telling me in essence I don't know how a crepe should taste. I got a Napoleon to bring back with me and the pastry was more like cardboard than French pastry. One of my friends had to remind the clerk twice about her butter crepe which came out after the rest of us had finished eating.
Advice; coffee and croissants, good. Pastry and crepes, not so much.
Hey locals! If you want good crepes or French pastries, New Orleans and NYC are MUCH better. The crepes from street carts in NYC are to die for (as a previous reviewer put it in his). Napoleons from New Orleans are wonderful; light flaky pastry with heavy custard, just as they should be. -

A taste of paradise. It was amazing before but now they've expanded the bakery and the menu. Try the crepes...they're to die for.

I found this place on Yelp! My wife and I made a special drive from Madeira Beach to try it out. We LOVE it. We got a fruit tart, croissant, turnover and chocolate eclair. After we enjoyed our croissant in the shop we decided to get a baguette to make sandwiches with later--good call. We haven't eaten all that we purchased but what we have was excellent and tasted so fresh.
We also picked up a cup of complimentary coffee. It was good and was served in a commercial coffee maker--nothing exceptional though. They also had the LaVazza behind the counter.
If you are in the mood for fresh bread or an afternoon treat I'd highly recommend it. Never been to Paris but I could imagine this is what it's like. -

This little bakery has a wonderful selection of pastries, both sweet and savory. My friends and I enjoyed the meringues (heavenly), coconut flan, and a custard filled pastry that translates to "well of love" (the name in French escapes me). The owner was friendly and engaging, eager to show us his planned expansion of the bakery in to a sandwich shop, the location was wonderful, so close to the water (but mercifully away from tourist crowds), and I appreciated the complimentary coffee. There's not a lot of indoor seating, but there are a couple tables outside too, and some handy parking right in front of the shop. Tampa has some nice bakeries, particularly for Cuban coffee and sweets, but this is the first place I've found around here that specializes in French pastries, and it is definitely worth the drive over to Indian Rocks Beach to enjoy.

Now this is an AMAZING place, been there numerous times, great little "secret". Very friendly social owner, loves to sit down and chat. Be sure to order more than one item, since they're all so good. I wish they were open right now... now I'm craving some of their treats.

It is very hard to find a really great croissant. What they serve here is the real deal. You can really taste the real butter. Such a treat. No nasty aftertaste that is the giveaway to bad pastry. You just want to savor the flavor as you drive home.

This bakery is located in a strip mall and isn't as fancy as the name suggests, but it has a wide selection of artistan breads, brioches, croissants, cakes, pastries, and chocolates, and everything is outstanding. There are a couple of tables on the sidewalk in front, but this really isn't a spot to linger very long. A little pricey but the quality is worth it.

I have tried this bakery 3 times since it is conveniently located within walking distance of my home. I dont know who wrote the other reviews but I have consistently gotten home with stale pastries. The owners are so-so as far as being friendly. I would rather make a box of brownies for my company than serve these stale products.
