5 reviews for Cafe Bermuda
In agreement with other review about disorganized interior
How is it possible the flavor is so bland?
The plates should be white, this plate looks like it's from a Persian garage sale.
I must mention the sweet potato fries are they supposed to be limp and soggy?
Also the ketchup? This was your opportunity to show off a cool Bermuda sauce.
I would give another star for the nice patio. But here we are on 5th and main... Lots of skid rowers and Loud bus traffic.
2 stars go to:
- Customer Service
- Freebies they gave out! (free taste of these yummy shake drinks topped with whipped cream)
Minus 3 Stars for:
- Undercooked Swiss Burger
- Forgetting the sweet potato fries that go with my burger
- Not very yummy food. :(
I'm sorry Cafe Bermuda, maybe make the food a little bit more flavorful and palatable!
This place smells. Like a combination of B.O., burnt wood and varnish, it's some sort of post-construction smell that doesn't seem to go away, it makes me nauseous. Interior design is tacky and disorganized. There's an unused fountain sitting in the middle of the room. Is it a Roman Villa? Is it a rug store? Who knows.
The name is totally out of place, too. Bermuda Cafe? It's on the edge of Skid Row, what's tropical about that?
This is a place that was opened by inexperienced service industry folks. They need to visit Pete's Cafe or Nickel Diner to learn how to design, display and run a place. Wifi is nice and the servers were really sweet. The salad I had was good but it's just one of those haphazard places that nobody seems to end up at.
And please do something about that smell, it's burning my throat.
I used to cook there for 9 days! They lied to me about how much they were going to pay me, and expected me to cook like Wolfgang Puck. In such a place,in such a location, with such a limited menu,PLEASE! I've cooked in better homeless shelters. NOT! But Seriously I do wish them the best in whatever they do. And I hope they get a clientel that does not smell and beg for change.
I visited Cafe Bermuda during the Downtown Art Walk on the first day of its soft opening, and was impressed. The food was inexpensive and tasty. The coffee prices seemed a bit steep, but it was quite good. Service was quick and friendly, and I look forward to my next visit. They were amazingly coordinated and ready-to-go for the first day of a soft opening, especially with the art walk going on.
I had the "Green Wrap" and tried a slice of the all veggie pizza that a friend ordered. The Green Wrap was good, though not quite outstanding, but the pizza, however, was excellent. The crust was wonderful, covered with an excellent balance of cheese and fresh vegetables.
The interior is well decorated, and they have a nice patio area. I have heard that they also have WiFi, though I didn't take advantage of it during the Art Walk.
