Temple City, CA
Best sandwiches ever.
They're so flavorful and delicious. There's something that the employees put in there, like some sort of special spice that just makes it super flavorful. It's also at an affordable price, and with the lunch special, plus a tea for only $1 as a combo, you get an amazing lunch for little more than six dollars.
The tea isn't the best I've had, but it's very good as well. Cafe Roule has great customer service, and they give you the wifi password after you've bought something (smart.) But it's coffeetime for the time being anyway, fyi.
Cafe Roule also sells cute little pastries in a Starbucks-esque way in case you come in the morning for a quick bite. It's good any time, and this place is consistent and lovely. Warning, it's popular, so limited seating, and the tables are rather small.
You don't have to wonder why we love them on yelp. -

Cafe Roule is definitely a spot to go to if you want to have a great light lunch while getting your work done! when i came in during the evening, the atmosphere was calm and quiet as people were sitting on their laptops studying while sipping on their tea.
I looked towards their menu to see that it's very simple and to the point, non of that crazy cluttered look. I opted to get their house special sandwich with wheat bread and their pomegranate green tea w/ lemonade and ALOE VERA! i love how it was just 0.35 extra! and they were in huge chunks and they were very generous with it! the total came out to be about 6-7 dollars! what a deal! (:
The service was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. When i took my first sip of tea the flavor of the tea was light and refreshing and the juicy cubes of aloe Vera added a slight sweetness to the drink. The sandwich looked toasty and tasty, as i took my first bite it was loaded with different kinds of meat, swiss cheese (my choice), piled with spring mixed greens with a yummy spread of pesto. It was healthy and satisfying.
Cafe roule is a great place to come study without any loud music or disturbances because many people come here to get work done. Also can't forget about the great sandwich + tea deals they have. -

This is an incredibly wonderful small coffee/tea house with loads of extras (sandwich, pastries, creme brulee, combo meals, toffee nut latte!). The music is neither too loud nor too pretentious (and it's certainly not the "best of the 80s" that Starbucks is currently playing).
The workers are super friendly, the drinks are super delicious, and the latte is super-to-kill-for. The atmosphere is very quiet and low-key; this isn't a place where you come to (audibly) brag about your new BMW X6 and its matching iPhone 4s and iPad2 accessories (or how much you're going to make by buying Facebook shares).
$5 for a sandwich and drink = Hammer Time. -

Yes!!!! They recently added aloe to their menu as topping for drinks. It's not the small tiny aloes you get at typical boba places but enormous boba sized aloe !! & It's only +35 cents to add aloe or boba. In my honest opinion, the drinks can get a little pricey (mine comes to about 5 dollars) but if getting the sandwhich+drink combo deal, it is so worth it! Their sandwhiches are SO simple but SO delicious!
They have stamp cards! -

San Gabriel, CA
The first time I entered Cafe Roule, I walked out in about 30 seconds. Lunch was the only thing on my mind, and my eager eyes took in a disappointing sight. This was not, by any stretch of the imagination, a lunch place. Teens and 20-somethings occupying the tables were typing casually on laptops instead of chowing down on a variety of edibles.
When I returned a week later, I knew what to expect. It was a sunny school afternoon, and I needed a suitable place to knock off some math homework while refreshing myself on some possibly overpriced beverages and snacks. I ordered the daily special consisting of a drink and a sandwich, adding every possible drink upgrade (size plus boba!), fully expecting to fork over all the cash in my pocket. The bill added up to...$6. Wait, WHAT?
Food: 4.5 Stars
Grilled Cheese and Ham Sandwich: 4.5
Fresh sandwiches are a dime a dozen (not literally, sadly). Cafe Roule certainly didn't reinvent the wheel with their sandwiches; however, the quality of their rather standard fare is unquestionably top-notch. The rye bread, ham, and cheese all melted together, a gooey, mouth-watering conglomerate.
Caramel Milk Tea (with Boba): 4.0
The Caramel Milk Tea at this place is delicious. The aromatic, burnt-sugar-butter taste comes through, and the drink fills the senses. However, the drink might as well be Caramel Milk; the subtle tea was completely overwhelmed, leaving a monotonic- albeit nice- flavor. The boba was redolent with honey, but the caramel was once again slightly overpowering.
Raspberry Green Tea: 5.0
Raspberry tea. Granted, the store doesn't make enormous efforts to disguise the fact that all their flavored teas are simply black/green tea with a shot of flavored syrup. Nonetheless, it WORKS. The green tea shocked me with its strength- unlike the tea in the caramel drink, the somewhat-bitter but aromatic tea melded perfectly with the raspberry flavor.
Service: 4.5 Stars
The service is impeccably polite and timely. The only bone I can pick would be the relative lack of professionalism- while the server was earnest and hardworking, the sandwich came out with the wrong type of cheese even though the server was the one who asked as to my preference. The two staffers seemed able to keep everything running smoothly, but not perfectly so.
Overall- 4.5 Stars, but I'll round up to a 5 for the ambiance. -

pros:
wifi is always up to speed!
good sandwiches
great drinks
most people are here to study so there won't be too much chatter
large windows so there is plenty of natural light coming in
they have a loyalty card (which I always lose)
friendly staff! --they will bring your order to your table
cons:
small, can fit about 15 people and will get crowded. best to call ahead to see if there are spots open
chairs are not very comfortable
the music is sometimes too loud but you can always ask the staff to lower it
cash only -
Review from Caye B.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon (prime coffee shop studying time). It's kind of a smaller shop, but it's very cozy and cute. Definitely a study-friendly area with plenty of table space.
Ordered a sugar-free Hazelnut latte with nonfat milk. This drink usually ends up tasting pretty standard at most places I go, but at Cafe Roule it was unusually sweet - maybe they used a little extra syrup for me or used a different brand? In any case, I was surprised at how much I liked it compared with other places. However, my boyfriend got an unsweetened iced Jasmine green tea, and he said it was the nastiest thing he ever drank. So I guess I suggest you go with coffee here.
We got our drinks and tried to start studying, but this place was PACKED! We could tell the people studying were all regulars, and a lot of them seemed to know each other. There was no room to sit except the two little seats at the counter. We tried to work there, but it was just too tall for us to be efficient with our laptops, so we ended up bouncing. I really liked the place, so I was pretty disappointed it didn't work out. I would give it another go on a less busy day (I mean $3.95+ for a sandwich and drink combo at a coffee shop is a pretty hard deal to beat). -

Cafe Roule is the spot to go to when you need a place to study, get some work done, grab a quick lunch, and grab a drink... as long as you have CASH -- CASH ONLY!!
I've been coming here on and off for about 9 months now .. around 3 times a week. The workers are friendly. This place is a small but cozy! I love their teas; especially, their iced mango black tea and hot green tea with honey. I usually ask for less sugar because I don't like my tea sweet. With one purchase, there is free wi-fi. People are usually studying or working there for hours at a time.
As for their food, I love their house special because of their pesto! For breakfast, they have a breakfast sandwich. It consists of an english muffin, egg, and canadian bacon. It's delicious!!!!
All in all, it's a great place to grab breakfast, lunch, and definitely some work done. -

I love Cafe Roule so much!!!!
First of a, Cafe Roule makes REAL drinks. They don't waste your money and time with this watered down coffee that taste like the beans have been soaking in the sink for 10 days, same thing with the milk, they are still creamy and fragrant when the drink comes out. And the foam!!!! The staff in Cafe Roule actually spent the time to make the thick and creamy foam and top the drinks with the foam!!!!! I have been so depressed with all the other coffee places that don't bother getting the foam right on their drinks.
The atmosphere is great, it's hip and chill, you can always see students or business people having a convo here, or on their laptop, or studying in this little cozy cafe. One time I was heading toward Cafe Roule, and I saw the owner lady walking along Las Tunas, personally deliver two trays of drinks to a nearby business/resident(?). How much more can you ask about customer service? Needless to say, the staff in Cafe Roule are always so friendly, they tried to learn my name and ALWAYS (I mean it, ALWAYS) have a cheerful smile when they greet you!!
Swing by Cafe Roule if you are looking for a cafe with real quality espresso drinks, and great service!!! By the way, my all time favorite is the hazelnut latte, it's a must have hot drink when I go there!! :) -

i, to say the least, love this place. i was cruising down las tunas when this caught my eye. decided to try it one day and quickly became my go-to study place in the 626. i love their teas, which is what i usually order. i have yet to try their foods though.
the cafe itself is very cute and cozy. i've never seen it being over crowded and have always been able to get a table to study. free wifi, friendly staff, easy parking. only complaint: wish it wasnt cash only. -

This is a cute little cafe that I probably would've overlooked had my friend not told me about it. The cafe itself is on the smaller side but they do work with space they have. There are a lot of tables where you can do work and they have extension cords to ensure that everyone can plug in their laptops if need be. Very nice touch! Though, you do have to be careful to not trip over random power cords.
Their green tea with milk is DELICIOUS and is super refreshing. We followed up our drinks with the house sandwich which was also delicious. You can customize the sandwich (type of cheese, toasted/not toasted, etc.) which is nice.
If you know that you'll be there for awhile, get one of their drink/sandwich combos!
There's ample parking on the side streets...just beware of any parking restrictions. -

CASH ONLY.
This is a really nice hole-in-the-wall cafe that I happened to stumble across one very rainy day. And since then, a lot of people have been frequenting!
As opposed to your average rowdy, overpacked, noisy boba place, Cafe Roule offers a quiet comfort for all your study-buddying needs.
PLEASE respect that atmosphere, and take your noisy-ness elsewhere! You'll probably see lots of people occupying tables with their laptops or textbooks. if you want to shout to your girlfriend all your drama, pleeease take it to Half & Half. Lord knows you can't heard anything over the music at Half&Half.
I am in love with their combos! It's roughly $5 for a sandwich + drink combo. Whaaaaat! That's what I'm talkin' about. The nutella sandwich is to die for. Delicious, toasted, and best when eating on the spot. if you take it to go, you are at risk for a soggy nutella sandwich ;[ I also had the Beef one at one point, and that was also amazing!
As for drinks, the love their fresh roasted coffee. Quality, rich stuff. Strong and caffeinated, perfect if you need to stay up and study. Hot or blended, I love the Toffee Nut. I am a sucker for Toffee.
I also love that fact that they have Raspberry Green Tea here! Ozero used to have it, but they have since discontinued it. Plus I have yet to find another boba place that offers raspberry gt. If you lovely yelpers know of any, please let me knowww! And if you haven't tried it before, you seriously have to. It's the perfect drink when you're not feelin' all that thick milky tea, or super-sweet syrupy ones either. NOMMM.Listed in: BOBAHOLICS.

Place was packed but the people behind the counter were so very sweet.
I had their most popular green tea drink. I can't say I'm a fan of the hot version but the iced version was delicious. -

I LOVE their milk tea, green tea, and freshly baked pastries.
They never kick you out as long as you buy something.
To reply to some reviewers:
I don't know if you know study cafes, they are generally silent with people planted on tables for hours to read or write. Not to talk.
I've come here so many times just to study for college and internet has never disconnected on me.
The only drawback is that they only accept cash. -

The upside is that the employees are friendly and you can get some work done here at laptop friendly tables. The downside is that the wifi is slow and seems to be getting slower. Unfortunately, it crawled to a veritable snail's pace last time I was there and I really couldn't get anything done.
Other stuff: It's mostly a study hall, so don't expect a social atsmosphere; the parking is not as bad as people say (just park up the street a little and walk 2 minutes!); the stamp card is only good for when you order certain drinks, but it doesn't mention that on the card; cash only. -

I like that this is a local spot vying for survival in a market that's saturated with cafes so I try to come here when its convenient to. However, every time I go seats are also scarce, much like the starbucks I reviewed.
The clientele are mostly 20-somethings, asians, and all seem like they are in the process of getting a Phd with their nose stuck in books. Parking is on the street or side streets but you'll have to move it every hour or two i believe. -

Tired of studying in a stuffy library? Hungry? Thirsty? Not feeling Starbucks? Well Cafe Roule is definitely a place to be and the answer to all your problems.
This is probably one of the nicest coffee shops I've been to in this area. The place is cozy, with its usual group of regulars, and owned by a lovely couple. They offer impeccable friendly service and honestly at 7am in the morning, that smile is what really makes a difference. The atmosphere is great because you really get a nice crowd at Roule: the students studying, quiet conversations, and the occasional gamer or two.
Free wifi, no outside food or drinks. Cash only. Probably not the best idea to park on their tiny lot or the one hour street parking. Sometimes its super difficult to find tables during peak times such as when school lets out or finals week. The music is always set a nice volume. Mornings you have the oldies/jazz, afternoon you've got the rave/hip hip and evenings you've got a toss up. Whatever the music choice, all I know is when I sing along or hum I'm definitely not the only one. The food is such a steal. I'd say go with the pomegranate green tea sweetened with boba. The House Special Sandwich is also pretty good too! Oh and it's super easy to get 10 stamps and a free drink.
Big Thank you to Cafe Roule for just being one of those places you can enjoy your coffee. -

I'm pretty much a regular here now that I've moved back here after graduating from college and studying for entrance exams. This is probably now my go to place to go study or just relax thanks to some recommendations from friends.
The ladies that work here are very friend and polite. I've never really encountered the guys that work here, but I'm sure they're no exception to this.
They have coffees, teas, pastries, smoothies, sandwiches, boba, and aloe, just to name a few. I've had their tuna, house, and pastrami sandwiches. PASTRAMI is by far my favorite here. I don't get it. It's just pastrami, lettuce, and cheese, but it tastes SO DAMN GOOD. KEEP IT COMING!
Nowadays I get their black teas, lightly sweetened. They tend me to make their drinks really sweet. Not a bad thing for your sweet tooth kids, but I absolutely don't like it too sweet. Keeps the caffeine flowing when studying so much.
Be careful of the weekends, and mid-afternoons. The crowds get ridiculous here. Just beware!
My only complaints would probably be their iced coffee, and their dreaded parking.
I absolutely love iced coffee, but for some reason their iced coffee isn't as strong as I would expect coffee would be. And if you don't ask to get half cream half sugar, it gets RIDICULOUSLY SWEET. Once again, my bland tooth can't hang with sugar.
Beware of parking in their tiny lot behind their store. When full, it gets really cramped. I suggest just don't park there as a friend of mine got her BRAND NEW car hit and run. The driver never left a note, nor did Cafe Roule have surveillance cameras set up back there. I suggest parking not on Loma, but the residential area behind them. They usually have plenty of parking there, and not really a time limit posted, so you shall be safe from those dreaded parking enforcement pigs!!!
4/27/12 UPDATE:
I am a frequent regular here. Never had a single complaint about this place. My previous review still stands. However I have to drop it to 3 stars due to my past 2 visits.
Their internet was ridiculously slower than usual than I previously encountered. It was still working, but it would pause every 5-10 minutes. Maybe someone was downloading something, but it was really frustrating considering I was filling out applications.
This past visit, on a particular Friday, I did not expect to be so crowded. However, it was. Not a big deal, this place is pretty popular, and expected because of their sandwiches and coffee. I was having trouble connecting to the internet, and I politely told one of the workers that I was and her response was "Are you??" and then went back to counting the cash register to clock out, and completely ignoring my obvious request.
Now there were 3 workers in, the lady still clocking out, and the other 2 were busy making sandwiches. So I waited about 10-15 more minutes for my sandwich, and when a different worker, a guy this time, came to drop off my sandwich, I told him that I was still having trouble connecting to the internet. His response "I will..." and then abruptly leaves to go back into the kitchen. I waited another 15 minutes, and they still did not reset the modem like they usually do. Now the place was finally calming down and became less busy, and he proceeds to go outside and have a smoke. WTF?!
I am a regular here, and I absolutely love coming here, but little incidents like these definitely get me worked up. Being the person that I am, I'm probably coming here again, 3rd time's a charm right? If that fails, I think I would have to re-consider other cafes. -
Review from Tiffany T.
Arcadia, CA
One of my favorite cafes to frequent since it offers impeccable fruit teas and the perfect place to study, catch up on some work and enjoy tasty sandwiches.
Combined with its quiet ambiance, the sandwiches and drinks here are what keeps me coming back. The House Special sandwich is a must-try here. You get your choice of bread with black forest ham, turkey, mixed greens with house dressing, mayo, pesto and your choice of cheese. I highly recommend choosing a croissant for the bread but I believe that they run out of this rather quickly (muahaha because I'm one of the customers who grab it early on).
Pomegranate green tea with lemonade is definitely the crowning glory of the drinks here. I believe it's one of the most popular, evidently through the other reviews here. I've had this drink with both black tea and green tea; green tea trumps the black tea by far. I've also had the mango green tea but I wasn't too fond of it.
And their cute little desserts are a must-try here! They torch their creme brulees fresh for you and the mini green tea cheesecakes are divine!
Most people who come here are here to get work done, so if you're looking for a place to have a loud conversation, this may not be the best place. This isn't one of those loud boba places where people are obnoxiously talking at the top of their lungs or where you hear the blare of blenders crushing fruit and ice every few minutes.
Free wifi with a purchase, you will find the password at bottom of the receipt. -

ONe star taken down for their recent poor services. What happened to the nice girl working there...recently, there are couple of guys working & it was the ASIAN guy that got attitude. HOrrible service..impatient & rude! He even made ugly sandwiches!

Great sandwiches, teas, coffee for a very reasonable price. Great place to chill while you have your car worked on at rising star motors.

If you're looking for a cafe with solid green tea, cheap desserts, great sandwiches, and free wi-fi, then this is your place.
I loved my green milk tea, It was well-balanced and had the perfect level of sweetness. They gave me freshly torched creme brulee for $2.50, which totally made my day. And their pastrami on rye was delicious. They used good deli meat and the panini-style sandwiches are just well-prepared with a light spreading of mustard, mayo, and fresh greens. I'm not saying that this is the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had, but it was a well-prepared sandwich and it's great for a cafe.
This is a great place to study and to grab some cheap desserts and drinks. I mean....you could get muffins for $1.25 and a 4 pack of cookies for $2.50. I will gladly come here for $2.50 creme brulee. This French-inspired place is incredibly welcome in the SGV, which is dominated by outstanding Asian businesses.
Don't expect to be blown away with every bite and sip, but take note that I give this 5 stars because of its ambiance, service, solid food, cheap desserts, and awesome green milk tea. If you like coffee, they use LA Mill Coffee. It's just a nice cafe with a great staff and with great ambiance. Hope you guys solicit this place so that it can stick around for a while!Listed in: Where I go for my sweet tooth!, Tea Time

Perfect place to study/work from. The staff is really nice and helpful, and their drinks are tasty as well. The place isn't very big though, so if you show up later in the day, you might have trouble finding seating. Also, if you have a big group, it's probably not a good idea either.
note: don't throw away your receipt - the wireless password is printed on there! -

On my quest to find delicious and refreshing tea I came across Cafe Roule.
My fellow Yelpers were dead on with quality and service - top notch. The only negative is that seating can be cumbersome during late afternoons.
As for my recommendations I would suggest getting the nutella combo sandwich with a large tea. It wasn't bad at all ($5.17) and man was it delicious.
I usually get the nutella sandwich (5/5) and the house special grilled on wheat bread (4/5). As for tea I really enjoyed the passion black tea sweetened (4.5/5), lychee green tea with lemonade (4/5), and strawberry green tea unsweetened (4.5/5). -

I love this place! This is actually the first time I stayed in a cafe place to do homework, and I have to say this place is great. The service is nice, and it's pretty cheap compared to other cafes! The group that goes there are usually students, so there is not a lot of background noise aside from the music (but it's not bad). I haven't tried out all their drinks/sandwiches but I look forward to that!
The only downside I can say about this place is that sometimes it's difficult to find parking, and the recent times I visited there, there is always a lot of people, so usually it might be hard to find a seat with an outlet. -

cafe roule, how i love you!
well, when I can find parking and a table anyways.
This place is a gem of its own in the sgv, the staffs are really friendly and service is always impeccable. Plays good music, fast wifi, great coffee/tea drinks, their house special sandwich is yummy, haven't tried their bakery besides the blueberry crumb muffins(which was a bit dry).
Tip: go early, find a corner spot, grab a drink, put on your headphones, and enjoy some blissful cafe time. -

Covina, CA
This place is great! The environment is really nice and relaxing, it's not too quiet or dark like a starbucks, the walls here actually have color. But, it's not swamped by loud Asians speaking in Chinese either -- it's a very mellow atmosphere, with some nice music might I add. No Jay Chou or Jolin here, American stuff. :)
The drinks here are AWESOME. I tried green tea w/ milk and pomegranate juice w/ black tea, both were delicious, and I mean SUPOIB. I wouldn't be scared to try any of the flavored teas they have here, they make them so tasty and fresh, and don't taste artificial whatsoever (yeah, I'm talkin to you TeaStation/TenRen).
The sandwiches here are pretty good, but not the best. I've only tried BBQ pulled pork which was just so-so, I probably wouldn't get it again. Pastrami intrigues me but you know, if it's not a greasy hole in the wall with old greasy seats to boot, good pastrami is hard to come by. But who am I kidding, I'll try it and update here soon. -

I looove Café Roulé.
My favorites are Milk GT & Pulled Pork Sandwich :)
They have the best milk green tea I've ever tried & they now have boba! However, I prefer no boba just so I can savor the taste of my tea :3 Their pulled pork has this really unique coleslaw w/ cranberries which gives it a really yummy, tangy taste!
All their other sandwiches are good as well :D
& for your sweet tooth, they have delicious cheesecake & crème brûlée!!
Everything here is scrumptious!
& it's a great place to study - quiet & loads of outlets + wi-fi! -

Cafe Roule is awesome. Small and quiet, lots of outlets and abundant wifi. I always get the lychee green tea, and when I'm hungry I pair it with a grilled ham and cheese. It's like 5 bucks for the both together, great deal. Unlike a lot of tea places I go to, the music is also good (something that I care about b/c sometimes I forget my headphones).
Cash only though and I don't think it's very good for big groups because the place isn't too big. But it deserves the 4.5 star rep that it has. -

PERFECT place to study if you want a quiet environment with a little background noise! The tea is decently prices and not too bad. I did not try the pastries, but the cookies looked pretty delicious. The Passion Green Tea is pretty good!
However, if you are looking for a place to do a group project or study as a group this is not the place for your group. The place is pretty small with only about 8-10 2 people seater tables. I went on a Sunday night and it was pretty packed, but luckily a few people left and gave us their table.
Other than being small, if you need internet I would NOT suggest this place. When I went my internet refused to work and when I tried to use my boyfriend's computer I had to constantly turn the wifi connection on and off. It might have been because I had a MAC because the people with PCs had internet? On the bright side, if you want to study without the distraction of the internet this place is a perfect choice. -

Temple City, CA
The environment of this place was that a very clean and cozy mom and pop coffee/tea cafe with hot sandwiches and soothing music.
This place seems like it'd be a great place to study, since I noticed quite a bit of people sitting back with their textbooks and laptops. I really like how the menu is fairly small; it makes it so much more simple to choose what you want to order.
I ordered the #7 special, a roast beef sandwich with a drink for $6.60 + tax. My sandwich was on sour dough bread with American cheese and to drink, I had caramel milk tea. The sandwich was prepared fresh and toasted upon my request; it was quite amazing! Very delicious and it didn't make a mess either. The caramel milk tea was perfect; it was sweet and refreshing without having too much sugar and was not watered down like the tea at many other places in the area.
Service was great. Friendly, prompt, and extra bonus points cause the Asian girl who was working was super cute.
Cafe Roule is the definition of a winner and in my opinion, the true gem of Temple City. -

I came here to study(of course, such is my life) so I was pleasantly surprised at how empty it was (it was, also sadly, a Friday afternoon). I may be a little biased, because I love toffee, but the blended toffee nut latte was very good: not too icy, not too watery. Downside: not a very wide selection of drinks.
I had the croissant house sandwich, which was perfect for my sweet and salty taste. I asked for the pickles on the side, and almost laughed because it looked so funny when it arrived on my tray as two round slices of pickle literally set on the side. But yummy nonetheless.
The sandwich was good, but i'd probably want to get it on bread next time. It's definitely a sandwich to get on toasted panini bread.
Overall, great study place:quiet, good music, good food, not crowded, good coffee.
One last issue:parking. You might have to move your car after one or two hours...the private lot is very very small, and street parking is time-limited. -

Unemployment after graduation means getting outta the house to be productive and apply for jobs. Thankfully, there's Cafe Roule nearby.
Perfect ambiance to concentrate. The music volume is set a level that isn't distracting and the musical selections are more comforting than annoying. The drinks are great, especially the pomegranate black tea, and the service is just as superb! The decent amount of electric outlets and free wi-fi make it all the more worthwhile for me to live here as I seek employment. Here's to spending a lot of time here as I find a job! Prices are decent... just like any other tea/coffee/boba places. 35 cents extra for boba. which i think is pretty cheap. free wifi with one drink. Street parking and there's a tiny lot in the back. Staff is nice. There's a check-in offer.
boba milk tea was eh.. Le Arbre is version is better.
pomegranate green tea reminds me of capri sun. i half like it and i half don't.
organic green tea cheesecake 1.95 - perfect size. it's pretty milky. couldn't taste the green tea. i thought the price was very fair and not overly priced.
this place is very quaint. a little hard to spot if you're driving down las tunas. but it reminds me a little like starbucks with the pastries and plastic cups.
i'm not completely won over but i'm definitely glad i tried it. another bookmark completed.

This is a nice, chill spot, very relaxed and low key. Bright walls kind of keep you awake --- the drinks are good, and the sandwiches are yummy... the servers are all pretty nice and relaxed. It feels like a college cafe.
People like to go there a lot to study, so it can get crowded during midterm and final's season... a lot of temple city high alumni go there, regardless of what college they attend(ed). -

alright - ya boy is back!
cafe roule is a pretty legit spot if you in the 626, the music is a bit loud at times - ranging from KC & JOJO to a playist used at white wonderland...just saying
they bake all their breads here so it is fresh, the house tuna special aka tuna with pesto is always good. gotta get that with a crossant. prices are good too, lunch is around $6 (drink included)
staff is attentive and the place is kept clean, come through and check it out! -

Cafe Roule was a refreshing diversion from the heat.
A couple of us came here to plan out a trip and was able to
comfortably accommodate 7 people despite its seemingly limited seating/space.
Menu is simple and has a few teas, coffees, juices, on site baked pastries and made to order sammies. They also have combos like grilled cheese w/ iced tea.
Ordered a green tea w/ lemonade. Really liked it!! Has this refreshing light floral flavor to it. =) hubs got the frappe ...sorry forgot what it was but it
has a nice fine ice consistency and a strong coffee flavor. =)
Decided on a small blueberry muffin and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Next time, will have to try out their organic blueberry cheesecake!
Oh yes, free wifi! We had 7 people connected on their 'net and it was pretty decent until probably 2 hours later when more people started showing up. :P Great place for studying too since it doesn't seem to get loud in here.
I'm almost positive that I'll rate this 5 stars next time I'm here!
I think it's cash only at the moment.
