Excellent food with nice atmosphere. We had grilled salmon with fresh vegetables. The salad was crisp and fresh also.

This is a pretty good restaurant most of the time. The family and I have been here so many times since moving to the area, and for a while the staff seemed to know us, but at some point things changed. The staff seem to be on a revolving door, and there is almost never the same people working when we come in every 1-2 months.
The atmosphere is usually pretty good. We try to get in while the crowd is small, as service is generally better and the food comes out faster.
I've had the Texas Nachos, loved them. Lately we get the fried pickles for apps, and they are fairly good.
I've only had a few of the dishes on the menu, as some just sound unappetizing. The blackened chicken alfredo was good, but lately I only go there for the burgers. I love the mushroom swiss. -

What a fun spot ! We stopped here on the way back from Lake Whitney after a long road trip. So glad we did !
Great cheery atmosphere; comfy bar stools, dark woods, high top tables around the bar and in the back, along with pool tables. A place to definitely kick back, relax, and watch your favorite team on several large TV's positioned over and around the bar. Large beautiful patio would get my attention in good weather. It's obviously a locals hang out, everyone seemed to know their chair mates.
Sat at the bar, pretty crowded and happening on a Sunday mid afternoon. Jenlee, our friendly bar keep, was just delightful. She was managing a nice crowd @ the bar, and seemed to be having fun. She was johnny on the spot with our drinks and took a moment to chat with everyone. They advertise "Texas Friendly Service" and they deliver!
I ordered a house Merlot (that's all they had, no special blends or any of my fave grapes) and BFF had his usual Miller Lite. The wine was awful! Don't know if I have ever declined a second sip of any vino, but this one I pushed aside. Told Jenlee it wasn't working for me and she whispered "I don't like it either". Quickly took it away and brought an ice cold Heineken with lime. Good decision, it tasted soooo good.
We wanted a little snack so ordered the Texas Nachos with chicken. The platter was huge, but a little undressed. Chips, refried beans, chicken chunks and cheese. No jalapenos, chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce on top. A small saucer with a small dollop of pico, guacamole, and surprisingly, crumbled blue cheese instead of the expected sour cream. They were okay; they were edible, but nothing to tell your friends about.
Very extensive menu including fajitas, steaks, seafood, pastas, meatloaf, chicken fried chicken & steak, burgers, sandwiches, salads. Can't wait to go back and try some of these mouthwatering sounding offerings.
Watched the Bears slide and slip in the snow, and after the second touchdown by New England, we finished our brews and left.
We often take road trips in the area to Granbury and Glen Rose, so it's for sure we'll be back for lunch or brunch one day soon. Really liked this spot !Listed in: Day Road Trips away from DFW…

Wow! I went to this place for the first time and I thought it was pretty awesome. Food was great, service was outstanding and they even had a small band playing.
