Review from Erica C.
Cache has come a long way. I remember before the "resort" when they had only a few slots and tables. Back then there was a 3 hour wait for a damn slot machine. Oh how much it has grown. Now it's only a 20 min wait depending which day I go =P
It's a great place to take my parents out every once in a while when we have the urge to donate our money. Also it's a tradition to go on NYE. Check out their website for special events!
The place definitely needs to do better with the ventilation system though.
But staff is always helpful and nice, decently clean and full of amenities. -
Review from Alan H.
This place is half way decent. Lots of slot machines, a few tables, restaurants, what you would expect from most casinos. But one thing that is really lacking is the drinks at the tables, I didn't realize it was illegal for them to serve drinks until I read a few Yelp reviews, but I was hankering for one. I always figured free drinks helped to ease your pain when your money leaves you for the dealer. Oh well, I won the last time I went so I will forgive the no-drinks for now.
What I do like is that you get a $25 food credit when you first sign up for their players card. I took full of advantage of this by going to their buffet which just happened to feature new york steak and ribs and quite a few other things. All you can eat New York Steak for pretty much free, more importantly, good tasting New York Steak made me a fan.
Overall I like the food and winning, I did not like the lack of drinks, and I would put this place on par with some of the bigger casinos out there -

This casino is literally in the middle of nowhere.
I got dragged with my family and ended up being stuck here.
One sweet thing is that they offer you $25 in dining vouchers for first time card members. My brother and I just chilled at the buffet for a few hours. Not sure if I'm gonna wanna come back.
Not family and kid friendly. Beware. -

Cache Creek is one of the many Indian casino's you find in the U.S., especially California.
It is in the middle of nowhere in Brooks California so be prepared to drive some. Also go the speed limit; there are 2 little towns you have to go through and they love to catch eager speeders going to the Casinos.
DIFFERENCE FROM A REGULAR CASINO:
I've read some reviews and it's kind of sad that people that have no knowledge of the law rip on businesses for what they think is bad service.
1. They CAN'T serve alcohol at the gaming tables or the slots. IT'S ILLEGAL! You will be offered cokes, water, or coffee or juice. They are not cheap, it's the law.
2. Remember that Indian casino's run under a different law and are not regulated. I think they can set the payback on their slots to as low as 42% (but dont' quote me on that) where as for regular Casinos it is more towards 46-48%. Don't expect a ton of jackpots to be heard at an Indian casino.
Some reviewers complain that there is smoking being done. HELLO? This is a casino and it's legal for people to smoke there! Remember that there are no smoking areas though; ask one of the workers to help you.
I play mostly black jack so if I'm with a few non-smokers at the table, I ask the pit boss to make it non-smoking. They aren't thrilled doing that but they will.
Smokers in Casino's can be pretty arrogant and disgusting about it so look around for a non-smoking area but remember you are going to smell like smoke when you come out. Casino's are pretty gross.
Good things about Cache Creek:
-More of a mature clientele; you dont' have a lot of obnoxious, drunk 21 year olds acting the fool. It's pretty laid back and the staff is very helpful.
-The restaurant food isnt' bad. If you join the cache club, they will give you a $25 food discount and the more you play, the more discount you get.
-Staff is helpful and friendly. They also have some pretty great headliners in some of their shows. Cache Creek makes a bundle so they can afford to pay big money for groups.
Bad things about Cache Creek:
-Very tight slot machines; dont expect to break the bank
-there is no layout; it's insanity. Next to the $1 and $5 machines will be a 1 cent machine. In one area there is a 1/2 cent machine next to a $1 machine. It will take you a while to find out what is what.
-Mostly asian workers and clientele; this doesn't bother me; but with many older Asian people they dont' speak English and it is annoying at times if they are talking about you. I actually had one cutting me down because I didn't bet like she wanted me to and one of the nice women at the table told me. People can get pretty rude and that sucks.
-The web site kind of sucks; doesn't say much about the cache creek club card, points or what else you can use it for.
-Many people in blackjack play the stupid side bets that the casino's love to make money from and it really can slow the game down but that's anywhere.
-small; not a lot of tables.
For an Indian Casino it's pretty good but remember the odds of you winning money are less here, than at a regular, regulated Casino.
You can buy alcohol at the bar and bring it to your table or to the slot machines but you can't order drinks while you are gambling. It's the law.
It's fun if you need a fix and just want to let your hair down a little. It's never super crowded and it's not a bad place to go for a Casino fix, but remember this isn't Tahoe or Vegas. -

Nickname is vietland. There are viet people everywhere. Dealers. Floors. Players. This casino has tons of slots. Tons of table games. Many Varieties. But if your a bonus type of person and want to have a chance at a huge progressive, Red Hawk is the place to go. I like Red Hawk cause of their huge progressive payout on three card, four card, and pai gow. Cache Creek has no bad beats and progressive costs 5$!!. I DISLIKE THEIR MACHINE THAT U HAVE TO STORE $$ IN.

-The parking structure itself is maxed out to the fullest potential you can even parallel park in it which I thought was cool.
- I came here to watch a show in their outside amphitheater, I had center seats 6th from the front.
- The set up: everything was so well put together, security was good, and they had enough ppl checking ticket stubs upon entering. They even set up special bathrooms for VIP guests.
- The casino itself is set up pretty much like a Vegas casino even the smell of their elevator reminds me of Vegas.
- The bad part of this place is it really is in the middle of nowhere and there are a lot of speed traps along the way. So be careful, speed racers! -

Plenty of tables and plenty of slot machines to keep you busy. Slot machine set up can be a bit crowded when walking thru - always bumping into seats. The bar can be a little bigger, but it serves it purpose.
Worth the distance if you don't feel like driving to Thunder Valley or Vegas to get your gambling fix.
Gambling Tip: For those for who want to make a quick buck, play WAR. No math skills involved. Big card beats little card...

Review from Amy L.
Hello everyone. My name is Amy and I am addicted to gambling. Well, not exactly addicted but I do think that I have a bit of an addictive personality. And I happen to enjoy gambling, a lot.
Cache Creek Casino is a quick getaway when you can't get to Vegas. Hour half to two hour drive and I'm there. They have great casino games...blackjack, war, baccarat, roulette, poker, blackjack switch, etc. They have slut machines galore and they are pretty loose too! I've been to Cache Creek three times and three times I have won at least a hundred bucks on the slots.
There are a few restaurants to eat at here including a steak house, Mexican, Chinese, desserts and your staple casino buffet. I've eaten at the Chinese restaurant, Chang Hou (spelling) several times and have enjoyed the food there. Get the steamed bass fish ($28) and the Thai Beef. Delish!
Tip: If you open up a player's card (first time membership) you receive $25 in dining credit at any of there restaurants.
The first time I came here was with my fam bam and between the four of us, we had a feast with our free $100 dining credit at the Chinese place.
Cache Creek Casino is certainly not Vegas but once you are inside and gambling, you won't know the difference. I love the sound of the slot machines and the bright lights....oh no...I think it's calling to me....I think I do have a problem... -
Review from Lisa X.
Cache Creek has ended my three-week casino-capades. Don't get me wrong. I love everything about it. The food there is great (minus the Peet's Coffee which has atrocious baked goods), the variety of games are endless, the distance from SF isn't bad, and they give free money to spend the longer you play there.
So why the two stars? I had to spent over an hour at a table where the dealer kept chatting with her friend. If you two are friends, have dinner or call each other up. Be professional about it. I'm trying to play and not lose my money here. All the other tables were silent. I guess I could have moved tables, but other tables were packed and I didn't wanna be the loner in the empty tables.
I'll most likely come again since I'm a raging gambler. Til then, I'm spending the time to go to Thunder Valley. -

I would rank Cache Creek as one of the nicest casinos in the Sacramento Area. There is free valet, which is stationed right by the main entrance of the venue. Very convenient, I feel like I am making a grand entrance!
PROS
Players Club - I would definitely recommend everyone who comes here to sign up for a players club card, even if coming to Cache Creek is only a one time thing. Signing up takes only about five minutes, and everyone who joins automatically receives a free $25 voucher that can be used for any type of food in the casino...even the buffet! With the buffet being about $10 every night except for Saturdays (when its $20), you'll have plenty of money left over for some snacks, like cookies ice cream or sandwiches, later on in the night. Winning!
Clean & Safe - The slot machines are certainly clean, as is the general gaming area...which is an extra perk during flu season! There are cleaners all over the casino, and they immediately pick up after the slobs who leave their drinks and food behind. The crowd consists mainly of old Chinese people, which I find to be fun to gamble with! Most everyone is sociable, and I have yet to see any troublemakers or obnoxious drunkards lurking around. I also liked how there was LOTS of security disbursed throughout the entire casino. I feel very safe gambling here.
Good Machines & Table Games - A good amount of slots, and pretty much every table game you can imagine. Blackjack tables at $15 a hand, and all kinds of live poker. There is also a number of high roller sections throughout the casino that Mr/Mrs Moneybags will enjoy. Dealers are very fun to talk to and make losing your money kind of an enjoyable experience. They will even give you hints on how to play if you are new to the game, which I think is awesome! Dealers genuinely want you to win.
Yummy Food - Buffet is great, also LOVE the Ice Cream from the Deli. Everything is priced very reasonably.
NO SMOKING SECTION - You really can't smell the smoke in the no smoking section, it is really nice to get away from the cigarette smog sometimes.
CONS:
I ALWAYS lose here, which really sucks...but then again it is a casino. I have lost over $500 on three different occasions, so has my boyfriend! I don't see a lot of winners to be completely honest. I haven't really seen anyone win big jackpots. The slots don't really pay out that often.
The casino does tend to get a bit crowded on the weekends, and sometimes its hard to find an open slot machine you like. I am a very impatient person, so waiting around for my favorite machine to become available is like torture. -

Took my mother to Cache Creek Casino for her birthday and some gambling on the slot machines. Had fun in a clean, open, and surprisingly not so smokey environment. We joined their club member and received $25 each of free food (no alcohol or tips).
We ate at the Chang Shou sit down asian/pacific island restaurant. We started out with shu mai and potstickers both fresh and tasty. Followed by Shanghai Noodles (soup) and Pad Thai Noodles. Our last entree was to be the Pork Adobo "Pork spareribs seasoned with soy sauce, fresh garlic, Szechwan peppercorn and vinegar, then simmered until tender." More like 2" long rib tips with 1" of bone and 1" of meat. The meat on the pork ribs was tough and (being part Filipino I can say) not very tasty and dull. This dish was sent back. Wouldn't recommend that one.
For dessert we went to the food court to Sweets ETC. and ordered a mocha and iced coffee. The mocha was bland except for the burned coffee taste and watered down and it was lukewarm. The iced coffee was also bland and had a burned taste. We opted for one of "Chef's Homemade Cakes and Pies", a chocolate cake. Don't know who's home this came from... but the frosting was hard and the cake was dry! It looked much better than it tasted. Clearly the cake was QUITE OLD!
All in all I would have given the Casino an A rating but we drove all the way from Sacramento and I gambled $35 in penny slots and didn't win even $5 .., The Chang Shou restaurant a B considering the one bad dish, and the the Sweets ETC an F rating since we were served coffee and desserts that didn't even compare to something from Denny's.
Sorry Cache Creek nice looking casino and resort, but your casino doesn't even offer small payouts on slots, too far to drive considering Thunder Valley and Red Hawk casinos are closer, and our food experience overall was so so. -

Nice place, I came here with some buddies during a rafting trip. It's a very popular place and can get crowded. I was there at around 9pm on a Saturday evening and it was not too crowded, but only a couple hours later it was packed! I returned with more of my friends Sunday around noon to have lunch and gamble a little before leaving and it was busy, but not too packed.
Sign up for the players card to get points to be used toward comps and they give you $25 worth of food credits. The credits can be used for anything except gambling and alcohol, which means any food and pretty much anything in the gift shop.
This is my first time coming here and I was very impressed. The place is very clean and looks very new. One of my buddies won $78 with one play at a wheel of fortune machine and I won $300 on random multiplier slot machine! This place kicks ass because we left up on money and very happy. I will update my review when I come here again, so I am not as biased, haha. But this place in general is very nice, come check it out and play some slots! -
Review from Andrew D.
Not only Cache Creek is the most popular casino in California, they try to mimic how Vegas does it. They got card tables, slot machines, a night club, multiple bars, and a variety of restaurants. Since it's also a resort, they got rooms, a swimming pool, a spa and even a golf course.
I have probably been here over a dozen times in the last decade. It started off from a large room with a few tables and slot machines to a full blown Las Vegas style casino and resort. They even got the popular Wheel of Fortune machines now! I love it when I get Wheel of Fortuneeee! They have a lotto drawing every 6 hours or so for $500 - $2000. Sign up for the Cache Creek Club card to participate. First time members will also receive a $25 credit towards food. I recommend trying the Harvest Buffet (http://www.yelp.com/bi...).
One criticism I have for this place is there equipment. Some of the slot machines are getting really old and torn up. I had a recent incident where my ticket got stuck in one of the machine and it took my money! Thank god I got it back from the service technician. Other than that, Cache Creek is a fun place to be so enjoy and have a great time! -
Review from Kathy V.
Did someone say Jamie Fox is performing @ Cache Creek? lol one of my good friends had tickets to watch the performance and asked me to go yippy!! I haven't been back to Cache Creek since I was 18yrs old lol and yes it was legal to gamble at that age.
We didn't spend much time in the casino except for going to the bar! Had to warm up some how because the show was held outside. So much has changed since I've been back, there's a huge parking structure, club, a chain of restaurants and an expansion of machines. The only complaint I had was too much smoke! The circulation of air was not like Vegas but just to cloudy inside. Bleh, anywho~I loved loved Jamie Fox's performance, it could of been much better if the casino provided heat lamps as it was FREEZING!!! Jamie Fox mentioned don't cha know black folks hate cold weather! Hilarious.. What's cool about this place? Many different music artist come out and perform here all the time!! Too bad this place is in the middle of no where! LOL -

It's out in the middle of nowhere, so prepare for a drive. Just follow the other cars in front of you. Most likely, they are on their way to the casino as well. You will pass through hills, a sleepy little town, and after what feels like forever, you will eventually see the sprawling parking lot of the casino.
The place itself is decent. Be careful going on a weekend because the place gets packed and if you play slots primarily, it may be difficult to find a machine. There are several restaurants to eat at. Numerous Asian ones, two delis, a sweets cafe, and the Harvest Buffet. I've been going to Cache Creek for years, so I've had almost everything there. No complaints about their food.
While I live closer to Thunder Valley Casino, I've won more playing at Cache Creek. As with all casinos, you will smell like an ashtray coming out. Just an FYI. -
Review from John G.
Out in the middle of nowhere lies on oasis for gamblers where their hard-earned money and paychecks disappears into the abyss like magic.
Buses unloading dozens and dozens of senior citizens like cattles ready for the slaughter...oh quite so tragic.
Lured in by bells and whistles at the slightest possibility of winning the big one. Not even a chance, son. San Andreas got that covered way before our time, hun.
Smoked-filled rooms making me gag. Unbreathable air that's really quite a drag. We're not talkin about Queens, but hard-earned Benjamins.
Might as well light up those Benjamins like a speed-fiend searching for amphetamines.
Unless you got plenty of cash to burn; you're gonna empty your wallet - create a hole in your pocket and you're gonna miss the moral of the story of: You! Must! Learn! -

Sunnyvale, CA
Just returned from a trip here and was decently satisfied. For a gambling casino it is kept very clean and relatively smoke free. The environment is relaxed and is a good supplement to those gamblers who need a fill in before a trip to Reno/Vegas
The minimums per table games are low unless going at peak night hours or weekends. Also, the dealers are mostly friendly as are the other gamblers at the tables.
The biggest problem is location (1 hour away from civilization). The hotel resort itself is very decent and has a beautiful golf course behind it.
Lastly, the buffet is very cheap at under 10 dollars and can be easily free if you have Comp money from joining their club membership! -

Stayed the first weekend in November with a buddy for a one nite, stay and play package.
Golf course = 5 stars! Absolutely spectacular course, in pristine condition, lovely holes, greens that roll fast and true, and challenging. The staff was top flight in terms of service, greeting, and advice. The carts had the nicest seats I've encountered in a cart, and the GPS system was spot on.
Hotel room = 5 stars! I very large, recently renovated room. Large bathroom and very large shower. Rooms were quiet, no smokey smell in my room, and well appointed. Large TV in the room with wall mounted (very sleek) inputs for your various electronic toys.
Casino = 4 stars! I thought the casino was better than some Vegas strip casinos, and was about as enjoyable as say New York/New York. There was a nice selection of table games with low limits. There were a lot of slot machines. The ventilation system was pretty good, but you still walk away smelling of smoke. As others have noted, the tables fill up fast when the first buses arrive. The dealers and pit boss were friendly and helpful. They did not seem to rotate dealers as frequently as the practice in Vegas. Table drink service could have been more frequent -- but since I only drink water while playing not a deal breaker for me.
Food = 3 stars. We tried the buffet for a late lunch. The buffet room was very large, clean, and well staffed. The array of food was impressive, the quality not so much (to my taste), BUT for the $10 we paid it did represent appropriate value. The table service for drinks was very prompt and provided frequent unprompted refills. I had the munchies at the end of the night and sampled the turkey sandwich from their Deli. The sandwich was below Subway standards and cost $8. Not good value. We ate at the Canyon Cafe for breakfast, and that was probably my favorite meal of the stay. They produced a very solid American breakfast (I had their breakfast sandwich w/ hash browns).
I would go back in a heartbeat to play the course and spend the night in the hotel.
If you don't gamble and golf, I'd skip the place as there is nothing else to do. -

We had a great time!
Signed up for the Cache Club Card & had $25 to spend on food, etc... except for alcohol (of course). So basically, we got free food at the buffet! Drinks at Club 88 were cheap too.
Gotta love the loose slots =) won a lot more than I imagined.
Very crowded and most of the time, I had to wait for the slots I wanted to use.
On a side note... I understand you could sit at a machine for as long as you want, but if you aren't playing anymore, maybe you should leave and not say to those waiting "oh do you wanna play?.... don't play this. go away" !!!!! -

First off, people bitching about location of this place should take it up with the US government. Indian casinos have to be on indian reservations. Its not their fault they're out in the middle of nowhere. Regardless, its closer than Reno/Tahoe.
Secondly, a casino crowded on the weekend, what a shock. Seriously, that makes this a bad place? Because you're not in Nevada with 75 casinos in a 5 mile radius, you're gonna have a lotta people converging on one place. If you want it slow/emptier, go on a weeknight. It's like going to a popular night club and being mad there's a line outside. Really?
I just went in with the expectation like it would be like some casino outside Sacramento I went to years ago where all the machines were sit down, housed in identical cases, row after row. I was pleasantly surprised to see different shapes and configurations of machines, just like Vegas. A bit clump of tables in the middle, with side areas for high rollers, just like Vegas. A lot of it reminded me of Vegas and I was glad.
The free 25 bucks when you join their club is terrific. I was able to get food when hunger struck, and since the money never expires, I can use the rest next time I go. I tried the mexican food place, it was pretty average, so I'll hit the Asian place everyone keeps mentioning.
I think this is an excellent substitute for people jonesing for a bit of gambling but not willing to make the trek to Reno or Vegas. Don't expect it to be empty on a Saturday night, or have a smoke free environment. And deal with the drive. I didn't think it was that bad at all, but I did go late at night so road traffic was light.
I'll definitely be back cuz I dont love gambling enough to make the much longer drive to Tahoe! -
Review from Ken A.
Alameda, CA
If you're from the Bay Area this is probably the best casino to play at. The place is large and has plenty of tables to choose from when all the tables are open. The restaurants are ok to good, nothing special.
The only negatives are that it's far and nothing is around it. If you come to gamble and want to take a break, then you'll be watching people gamble. Surprised they haven't done anything to fix the smoky air, which if you go in and stay a few hours you will smell like a smoker.
I have won a lot and lost a lot playing card games. Compared to other places at least I have more choices to switch tables at this place.
Dealers are usually either quiet or very friendly.
If anyone has swiped their cards at the kiosk, you know that its rigged to give out the drawing tickets. 1 out of 9 chance to get a drawing ticket and you will get it mostly every single time.
They used to give out a lot of points for playing time but now its hardly anything. 4 hours playing $15+ minimum will get you about $6.00 in points for food. -

If you ask me if I'll come here again, I'll answer..... probably not. I came here on a Saturday night and I felt like an alien who landed on a foreign planet.
First of all, I'm not even a gambler. I just watched my friend play the slot machines. 2nd, the place is fumed with second hand smoke! Even when we were at the non smoking area, I can still smell cigarettes! At least I didn't get a killer allergic reaction to the smoke smell! Third, the amount of old people hanging out here! I think my fiends and I were the youngest people there that were NOT employees!
The highlight of the night was when I asked a worker there for a band-aid. I had gotten a blister on my foot from my shoes. The worker sent a EMT towards my way! The nice EMT man came up to me and asked me with concern in his eyes, "What seems to be the problem???" I was baffled and said "I just need a band-aid, you guys didn't need to make it into a huge deal!" O.o
For a first time goer, I got a card with $25 credit in it. It can be used towards food or gas. My friends were hungry, so we ate at the Harvest Buffet. The food was free but it wasn't good...
We also hung out at Club 88 as well. Club 88 is a dance club.... but targeted for an older crowd. We danced to Temptation's "My girl" and MC Hammer's "Can't Touch That!"
Unless you are a hard-core gambler, an old person or a smoker, then this place is perfect for you! -
Review from Gary E.
I'm not really much of a gambler but once in a while I do get the itch to tango with the one armed bandit. Like they say you can only win if you play. As much as I'd like to believe that I'll strike it rich someday, I know I probably have better odds of getting struck by lighting or hit by a bus.
Anyhow, I've been here more than enough times than I'll care to admit. I've seen this casino grow enormously with the resort addition and all. Their slots and table games continue to expand to suit one's gaming needs. As with most casinos, they have daily bonus jackpots, comps which include free gaming credits, in-house restaurants and merchandise credits/discounts when you sign up for their free Cache Club membership. This casino is in the middle of nowhere, it's smoky, crowded and at times a little bit rowdy but it's the closest Vegas style slots in town for me.
Besides the gambling action, you can lounge it and enjoy the sights and sounds of Club 88 which featured a full service bar, a stage & dance floor with free live entertainment or paid headliner performance. If you wanna stuff yourself there are a number of eateries to choose from.
For this visit I actually had a different purpose in mind other than donating my next paycheck. I picked up a couple of the 2011 "Year of the Rabbit" commemorative gaming chips at the cashier's cage. Each chip had a unique serial number which I thought was cool.
Hopefully and maybe, this chip will bring me lots of good luck in the future... -

To say the least, this is by far my favorite casino. The staff here is very friendly and the food selection is great. The place is almost clean but it really does smell like cigarettes for the most part. They have a big range of slot machines and table games. Place definitely gets crowded over the weekends, but I've went during weekday mornings and most of the players are old peeps. Surprisingly no teen kids or thugs hanging around like the ones in Lucky Chances.
Great place to go if you're looking for serious gambling. -

I think this is the closest you get to Las Vegas casinos in CA . The resort looks pretty nice from the outside . The resort is pretty big and like Las Vegas , there's a parking garage , restaurants inside , and rooms for you to stay the night . My friend and I came on a weekday very late at night this summer and the atmosphere was really weird ... there was barely anyone . There were only very few people and they all seemed to be very old . The dealers weren't very friendly and looked like they didn't want to be there . The vibe was really awkward which made me not even want to gamble at all ( which is what I ended up doing btw ) . Maybe there wasn't much people because we came on weekday and because we came so late . We wanted to book a room but they were all out . I'll probably be back again but next time I'll come earlier on a Friday or Saturday and book a room in advance .

AVOID. out of the 5 visits we went, got broke off every single time, straight down and always crowded. The best thing I can say is that even though theres very limited options, it do get poppin, so it's not boring to walk around with no money. Its easy to click with Cali peeps. We usually see somebody we know so thats kinna cool. Music and performances are supposedly entertaining.
Too many wreckless poker scum playing against their emotions, not looking at their cards, major bluffing every other hand, trying to work you, getting good people caught up to win. Dice table is awkward. The number off the dice opens cards in a stack, and thats how point comes out 10 seconds later. When shooter is throwing the dice, everybody's looking at it for no reason. It disrupts your rythem. My advice? Save your money, and go the extra distance with team to Vegas or Tahoe. Even on a bad night, you can call n get the number you looking for on a table by yourself, or walk around and watch shows. -

I could go through a list of reasons why I don't like this place:
1 - You might as well smoke coming here because you'll smell like an ashtray after leaving
2 - Don't bother coming on a weekend if you like choosing your machine or table. This place is PACKED! "Take what you can" isn't a great gaming choice.
3 - For the amount of money this place makes their table-service does not offer anything other than water, coffee, or juice. CHEAP!
4 - Cache Creek is so freaking far off from Hwy 80, might as well have drove straight on 80 & gone to Thunder Valley.
5 - They have no bar/hangout spot other than Club 88. And when a pay-ticket performance goes on you have no real other place to hangout with friends.
6 - Their poker area should have stayed in that one area but of course they replaced it with a High-limit slot area... becuase slots make them more money, faster of course.
This place is just about how much money they can make. Nothing is geared towards the players. It's basically a non-stop collecting toll booth out in the middle of nowhere. I usually win coming here but I try not to go to this place more than once a year. I always leave wondering why did I come here? -

Perhaps due to the lack of beginner's luck, I have to give this place a 2 star.. or maybe even just 1 star. =/ However, to be fair, I have some good reasons for giving this place a 2 (at least, I think they are good enough reasons).
1. Like Gil A., I agree that this place smells like smoke.. b/c you really do smell like an ashtray after you leave.
2. There are tons of people there on weekends (I went on a rainy Saturday afternoon).. and so you walk in and see a sea of older folks, sitting there, pushing the slot machine buttons repeatedly with no particular strategy (wishing for winnings).
3. Of course, as a small casino, it doesn't have the Vegas glamour, so really, people are just there to pass time.
4. The first 20 minutes of your stay is exciting and then after a while, this place just becomes overwhelming with flashy lights and noise.
5. It's a rather far off drive and kind of in the middle of nowhere, which can be a plus, if you are looking for a complete getaway.
Anyway, I may be biased with this review... so go for yourself and try it out. Just warning you though, people don't look as happy and excited to be there as the large billboards portray. -

I remember the Bingo days of this casino. A lot of changes have happened. None, more unveiling, than their incredible rooms, remarkable spa, and unique golf course.
The restaurants here, on a whole, are good. The service staff and dealers...not so good, with the exception of the poker room dealers--most of them are very nice.
For their own reasons, they changed my favorite restaurants name here from "Kung Fu Fats" to "Chang Shou". The restaurant was closed for a couple of months. For what reason, who knows? But after the wait to reopen, the restaurant still looked the same. The service staff was still the same. Just the name of the restaurant changed...an internal problem, I guess? something not caught with the eye?
I still like it here. I come when I can to unwind when I'm in the area.Listed in: ...back to the hotel!

As someone who has lived in Northern California for all of my life, I'd like to think that I'm somewhat attuned to the cultural norms of this area and I've always assumed, consequently, that businesses looking to make a living in my part of the state will, just for the sake of their own survival, be equally attuned to those norms and market their goods/services accordingly.
Cache Creek, however, markets EXCLUSIVELY to an extremely picky and myopic customer base located entirely in the Bay Area and, as a result of this myopic, picky customer base, this place is just top notch.
Everything in this casino is clean, everything works and every item in the buffet, coffee shop or sundries store is perfectly selected, prepared or presented.
Honestly, this place is better than most casinos in Reno and the equal of most of the casinos on the strip, albeit on a considerably smaller scale.
It's also completely isolated from the community. You can't even buy a local newspaper in the gas station.
They exist on their own little island.
Now, this island is the economic engine for our area and, while I might sit here and grump angrily on my keyboard, I really think the local economy would crater if Cache Creek suddenly went out of business...so, while I condemn this place, I really wish we had about 1000 of them covering the depth and breath of California.
Is this what hypocrisy feels like? -

Lots of Filipino people come here. The slot machines are older but okay to play. They sure know how to promote themselves and encourage you to come place with their coupons for points or free $10 to place. Place is clean, bathrooms are clean.
The Harvest Buffet gives a good variety of food so whatever you're craving you'll find there. Not bad for lunch.
I would go back. -

My parents go here way too much.
We've been a couple of times with them, and the place is nice. 21+. I used to frequent Jackson Rancheria, and Cache Creek is much classier. Which also means the min. at the tables is a little higher, too. They have a good amount of cards tables, a huge poker room (find my dad here) and a whole lot of slot machines (mom). They also have a huge pool, a golf course, and a salon upstairs. They have performances here every so often. Kinda cool to catch them. They have a bunch of buffets and some real gourmet restaurants here too. If you have enough points on your club card you can catch a free meal. -

Another great weekend spent at Cache Creek Casino & Resort! My mother-in-law got us a PHAT suite with connecting rooms. The suite had the jacuzzi bath tub, double showers AND hot tub outside our patio area. The kids loved that part of our suite the best.
We took the kids to chill poolside and they loved every minute of it. The weather was nice... warm with a cool breeze. It was the same bartender as last time and she made my margarita the same way. Yummy.
This time I got to play in the casino and won some of the money we had spent. Friday I was able to walk around in my hoodie and sweat pants. I didn't play tho because I forgot to grab my ID. I didn't get hassled at all which was awesome. The staff including security guards were friendly. We'll be back in October to see a comedian perform. Can't wait!2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

No matter where you're coming from, it's a bit out of the way. From the bay area, you're fairly close, but from the rest of Sacramento, if you're driving at night, you'll feel like you've been driving forever by the time you get there.
CCC&R has been improved a lot through the years. In the early 2000's the casino's ceiling could be touched by a basketball forward, but now the ceilings are much higher, much to the relief of claustrophobic gamblers. There is a good selection of food, one of my favorite being a seafood place that gets some outstanding oysters and mussels.
There's no point in going here unless you're coming out from the bay area, or perhaps from Davis. It's worth one experience though. -

This place seems to exist in a displaced pocket of space stolen from somewhere in Daly City or Colma, transported through a temporal vortex and plopped in the middle of a formerly bucolic area in the Capay Valley.
Socio-economic curiosities aside, I visited here on a busy Friday to watch the Deadliest Catch captains do their little road show. The event was held in Club 88 which, to my GREAT surprise, was a very competent venue for such an intimate talk. Great acoustics and talented, prompt bartenders were a highlight and the drinks ($4.50 for a Capt and Diet) were not bad.
Ate a late dinner at the buffet (all you can eat seafood Friday, woo-ha!), a trick I can't recommend highly enough. It seems that the imported customer base all eats between 5:30 and 7:00 and the lines generated during this time period are breathtakingly long. Outside of these hours, $25.00 buys a good, Reno-quality spread of shrimp, crab legs, and prime rib.
Casino floor was ridiculously mobbed, to the point of having to wait in line to get to a quarter machine, and the slots were tighter than...well...insert your choice of offensive metaphor here. Stick to the tables if you can, kiddies.
Long, rambling review aside, I encourage all of you out of towners to come here and dump all your expendable income, as we certainly need the economic jolt this place provides. Just don't stay too long :). -

We spent two nights here on the weekend of our wedding. The casino was super busy and loud, just the way I like em'. Our patio room was gorgeous, with a huge bathroom, a comfy bed and double doors opening to the hillside, so posh. The spa was down the hall and the pool was to the left. I was too panicked about my impending ceremony and didn't make it to the pool but heard from friends that it was great.
Room service was great and Harvest Buffet , down in the casino, was killer. I mean, where can you get chicken and waffles, pizza and eggs Benedict, all at the same place, for champagne brunch?! I mean, this was a serious buffet, Vegas style. Yum, yum.
Another really neat-o thing was that if you checked in at the Cache Club booth you were immediately given a little card with $25 free dollars. I got to eat at the buffet and have noodles, for free!
The rooms are expensive, for obvious reasons. But it was amazing and they actually have a decent music lineup. Hokey but fun. I would definitely say this would be a fun weekend, an off the beaten path adventure. -

Visited Cache Creek , without too many expectations.. and left 4 hrs later w/ $ 150 less in my pockets... but had a damn good time at this place. As expected, Labor Day weekend brought everyone here for the holiday weekend. Arrived around 11PM, and ALL tables are slots were full... I had to walk a couple rounds around the casino floor to find a place to start gambling. I actually like the casino when its busy so you can experience all the gaming drama.
The Lounge (i think called 88) was crackin w/ a live band jamming to hop-hop and pop, go-go girls, and drink were strong and priced decently.
No, it's not Vegas.... but Cache Creek is right up there.
