After finally moving out of our closet sized apartment in Beacon Hill, we actually thought we had a real apartment. These people actually care about you, and will fix things for you like a real management company should. We have a Super that lives in the building, which is awesome who is also super nice.
The building is really clean and well maintained also, which is a plus. -

I responded to an ad of theirs on Craigslist for two decently priced parking spots in a convenient location. I had a couple of emails sent back and forth between myself and someone named Caroline (It's a little confusing because everyone there shares the same email address) and everything was going fine. I even had the lease agreement emailed to me yesterday. I was going to sign it, have the other person who was renting a spot with me sign it tonight and bring it back tomorrow at 9am.
This is apparently not fast enough. I am told that I have to come in today or else someone else was going to take the spots. Which I feel is odd, as we had a verbal agreement and I had the lease already. Who hands out multiple leases to the same location? I explained nicely (as I had done previously) that I work full time and go to school full time and it is difficult to come in immediately. And according to a previous email from Caroline, the best time for her was between 9 am and 1 pm., so I selected the earlier time and told her that I would be in the next day at 9 am sharp.
This triggers the response:
"We are open today until 5pm. Does that work? Otherwise, I am sorry, but the owner does not want to rent the spaces because this has been delayed too long."
Again, this is AFTER I clearly said that I work and go to school, both full time and would be unavailable
3 days is not a long time to go from getting information about a spot, getting and signing a lease, and coming up with the required deposit for TWO parking spots FOR SEPTEMBER!
I wrote a letter back explaining once again my work/school schedule and that I believe her statement of the landlord no longer wishing to rent the spaces is absurd because the same ad had been re-posted.
She replied with a short; "Thank you for your interest, but we are all set". I want to give you FIRST and LAST and a LEASE for a parking spot, and you're not interested?!
It felt like they were only trying to get me in as soon as possible to pressure me into signing, and suddenly didn't want to bother with me when I refused to miss work or school to present a check a measly 16 hours early. They've been great. We're owners in a Brighton condo in this mostly Brookline-based property management company.
They respond quickly and they're efficient and polite about work that needs to be done. Our building is well-maintained. I have no complaints.
