1 review for C & L Sporting Goods
I have yet to buy anything here - directly. I have written a check to this place for our local, Rec & Park Baseball league, for our kid's uniforms. I noticed the coach had fixed a banner publicizing among the families who may not have known how instrumental C & L has been to the success of our Baseball program for years well before any of these families even discovered it. Yesterday, my son and I stopped in to see what made them so different from the corporate discount purveyors just up the road...
We found a quiet yet large, stout man hunched over a his desk, focused on providing oversight into a process that he must repeat hundreds of times a week - helping teams, families, schools and Rec & Park departments throughout the San Francisco Bay Area with resources to purchase at reasonable rates all equipment needed to highlight themselves as future all-stars.
In the back, his associate was enthusiastically helping a customer, a Softball team organizer, sort out all details for the near-term launch of the given team.
My son and I discovered all categories well represented among the sections of inventory in the shop, including a fantastic fleece pullover we had been looking for some some time, as his Middle School coach's were adorned with them by the school Athletic Director to distinguish themselves among the other coaches, the players and anyone else loosely affiliated with the team.
Undershirt warming shirts; gloves; jackets; a few bats; bags; Jerseys; some soccer gear on one wall; hats representing local teams were present and as models for future orders. Other items including baseballs and sweat dissipators were a had grab away.
The one feature missing: prices! Nothing had a price visible on it.
