Wow - didn't want to just let the single star review be the only testimony here.
I was recommended to this salon by a friend who had tried virtually everybody in the area. Nice vibe, friendly atmosphere, best haircut I've had in ages. -

RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!
I know I know, it's my fault for not making the time for a test run before my wedding, but everything just gets so hectic! You know?
Well, how about YOU learn from the worst mistake of MY life....
I felt confident knowing that the owner of the salon (Chris) and one of her employees would be coming to do my hair and makeup for the "big day". Unfortunately, it was a false security because I ended up looking like a drunken 3rd grader had applied my makeup and someone's sweet (yet senile) Grandmother had done my hair. The website says "A unique makeover spa specializing in personal image design". Unique? Yes. In a good way? No.
Me: I kind of like where you're going with my hair, but it's way too big.
Her: Yes, it is a bit big, but by 5 o'clock it will have settled down.
Me: Um, the photographer is going to be here at noon and the ceremony starts at 2:30. I'd like to look good for all the pictures.
Her: Silent.
Fortunately, a friend of mine saved my life (& my wedding day) and re-did everything after washing off the "ugly" that Buzbee inflicted on me. Lesson learned!

Meet the Business Owner: Chris B.
Chris Buzbee thoroughly enjoys her career as a designer, beginning with her attendance at Parsons School of Design in NYC and working as a young designer with her own business. Chris opened her first salon in the resort of North Shore, Lake Tahoe with a commitment to hair design as another incredible form of beauty and expression.
Out of a need to heighten her education she moved back to the Bay Area and immersed herself in hair color, styling and treatment. She was approached to teach make-up and hair application for a leading hair care distributor which progressed to the position of International Education Director for Salon Research and Development, traveling world-wide to train the trainers who would in turn, train hairdressers.
The last ten years has seen Chris happily charming her clients at her studio in Rio Del Mar, and now in Carmel. Chris's design energy bubbled to the surface with the opening of Carmel's totally unique hair design studio and makeover spa experience.
