Busy Bee Car Wash
5 reviews for Busy Bee Car Wash
While I don't mind taking my car to one of those drive-through touchless car washes at the gas station if I'm in a hurry, I'd much rather bond with my vehicle and spend a few hours giving it some TLC and hand-washing it on my own.
Before I found a self-service car wash nearer to my place a few months ago, I'd always come here to Busy Bee. As others have mentioned, the vacuums are free, as are the floor mat cleaners. After the interior is vacuumed, I pull in to one of the self-serve bays, grab some quarters and go to work. About 20 minutes and 5 or 6 dollars later my vehicle is all shiny and sparkly once again.
If you're not into cleaning your own vehicle or don't have the time, they have several options where they'll wash and vacuum your car for you. They offer everything from their basic "Wash 'n Go" for $5 ($3 during happy hour) to their "Deluxe Wash" which is $19. If you want your vehicle detailed, they'll wax it starting from $38, shampoo and steam clean your cloth seats for $20, etc.
You get the idea - they offer all kinds of car cleaning from do-it-yourself to their basic wash/ vacuum and beyond. They always do a fine job and everything is priced very reasonably.
Busy Bee accommodates car washing needs of all types from the do-it- yourselfers to the "yuck, get it away from me"-ers and it's super cheap. The $5 Wash 'n Go will get your car a once-over by the machines, but you can take advantage of their free do-it-yourself vacuum and floor mat cleaning stations and really stretch your dollar. (Yes, their vacuums are free of charge.)
But if you're not such a hearty soul, you can pay for the deluxe washing and detailing services and let them do all the work for you. If you're the type that doesn't let anyone else lay a finger on your car, Busy Bee has wash stations where you can give your car a complete once-over for only a few dollars in quarters.
The machines are well-maintained and, in my experience, do a much better job of washing your car than the gas station machines that start off at 1 or 2 dollars more. They also offer $3 "happy hour" washes, which helps to make this place the best value you can find in a car washing place in S. Florida.
I prefer washing my own car, but who has the time? Plus it's a big waste of water. So when I'm not washing my car at home, I'm probably taking it to Busy Bee.
It's super cheap, Mon-Sun they have a Happy Hour Special for $3.00 from 6p-8p.
You pull up to the vacuums, take care of the insides your self, then drive up and select what kind of wash you want. It's simple and painless. Oh and at the vacuum stations they have these free little machines that wash and wring out our floor mats without any fuss.
This is key: They can wash underneath your car too. This comes in handy if you ever have to drive through S. Beach when it's flooded, as that water has salt in it and can rust your car pretty quickly.
OK, so I am not great at keeping the dust off my car. I am good with keeping the inside clean and vacuum often, the disadvantage of having a pug. But truth is, my almost new black jeep looks grey most of the time, but not anymore. My man introduced me to Busy Bee the best stay in your car automated wash ever. Plus there are many FREE vacuum stations so you don't have to wait for that one jerk whose friend threw up in his car last night after an afterhours fast-food drive-through escapade and holds up the machine digging for the fries his friends dropped the night before. Did I mention its super cheap $6 and FREE vacuum? The down side is, I have a hard time recognizing my car from time to time but I am getting use to the black.
Thank goodness I found this place....my car was turing into a science experiment. Do you know what three month old french fries look like? I do.
I was finally convinced that there is no valid reason for an adult's car to exist in the toxic state that mine was in when I accidently left home-made salsa in my backseat over the weekend. I opened my doors today to the overwhelming stench of onions and habaneros and decided enough was enough. I was turning over a new leaf. My car would enter into the ranks of the lovingly maintained and say goodbye to the wrappers-bags-valet ticket stubbs-shoes-oh THERES that dress!!-cans-magazines-that bill I forgot to pay last week-melted lip gloss-pennies in the cupholder-looks like the car of a madwoman----Days.
I pulled into the first car wash I saw. Lucky me, it was the busy bee. (oh thats cheesy) This car wash is absolutely worth the whopping THREE DOLLARS you spend! Yes, thats right. Three dollars for a car wash. Five for touchless. It's really an amazing deal, and very quick, simple and effective. The people who work there are friendly, professional and welcoming.
There are plenty of drive up spots at the FREE vacuum station. You can vacuum, use the mat cleaner and convenient trash cans for a thorough in-car cleaning. (which, as I mentioned, was..... let's say overdue for my car)
You then pull up to an automated pre-pay station where you choose which features and add-on's you'd like. ( tires, special soap, etc.) I went with the five dollar touchless option, and was happy with the results. simple and effective. And cheap. I figured I'd start small.
They also have a hand car wash option. more expensive, but still reasonable.
Vacuum station. Zero Dollars. Car wash. Five dollars. Getting the onion smell out of my car? Priceless.
